THE CROWN - EPISODE 26

I walked her to the bed, covered her with another wrapper and sat beside her.

“Close your eyes and sleep, it’s cold” I told her.

Her lips moved in a shiver and she closed her eyes. Her lashes battered for a while and stopped

I touched her forehead and caressed her cheeks.

A smile on my lips and the beat of my heart.

I yearn for her too much, a second without her becomes painful.

I covered her probably and went to stand at the door..

it had become a dark noon due to the weather.

I walked back to the bed and sat beside her.

She was sleeping so soundly and peacefully.

I’ve never enjoyed watching someone sleep,

I feel so happy just staring at her.

Earlier when it started raining, I couldn’t control the urge to kiss her.

A kiss has never felt so full of love, the taste of her lips.

When she reciprocated the kiss, the joy in my heart is something I can’t explain.

And when I decided to help change her clothes, I desired to see her in all glory.

To experience the beauty of my wife, the pleasure within and the urges I had to control.

It took me everything within me to control my desires to have her melt under me.

To give her nothing but intense pleasure and happiness.

Allowing me see her means she’s also ready to give the marriage a try.

I know for sure that I’m never going back on this journey that I’ve embarked on.

The rapid beats of my heart at every new step I take each day.

The eagerness to see her first thing every morning and the last every night.

The strength to defend her when necessary and how she comes my strength and also my weakness.

I fell asleep resting my head beside her. I opened my eyes, she’s gone.

I sat up and looked around, she came out of the bathroom. She stopped to stare at me

“You’re awake” she said lowly

I nodded and smiled. I looked and it was dark already

I wonder if we missed dinner

“Why are you standing there? Come sit” I told her

She walked and sat on the bed, a little far from me.

I watched her silently, she kept playing with her fingers. She seems to be shy around me now, I smiled and chuckled.

“What’s that?” She asked gesturing her head

” It’s nothing” I nodded

We both kept quiet again for a while

“Adenike”

“I want to talk to you about something”

We said in chorus. We chuckled

“You go first” she said

“No you go first, what do you want to talk about?”

“Why did you call my name,? Go first”

I gave her a playful glare

She smiled

“Okay I will go first” she gave in

We both tittered

“I want to talk to you about the…”

She was saying but I heard little or nothing she said.

I was focused on her beautiful face.

Everything about her seems almost perfect.

The gods must’ve taken out special days for her creation.

So this is what was created out of my ribs by the gods.

“Are you listening to me?”

She snapped her fingers

I got up and went to next close to her

She blinked

“You’re in my face”

“Oh sorry” I moved back a bit

“You were saying? I couldn’t hear you from so far”

I smiled. She coughed

“While I wanted to talk to you about the Ikeanja sacri…..”

I covered her mouth with mine. Her eyes went wide open.

Women are not allowed to talk about it, that wasn’t much of a reason why I crashed my lips on hers.

She looked more beautiful from up close

“My Pri… I’m sorry your highness, I’m sorry your highness”

It was her personal maid, she faced the wall apologizing

Adenike stood up quickly

“Do you go in and out without seeking audience first?” I asked her.

“I’m sorry my Prince, I thought the princess was alone”

“So you are free to do as you please with the princess?”

“Ikenna it’s okay, I was the one who gave her the liberty” Adenike chipped in

“Why have you come?”

“Dinner has been served your highness”

“Leave, we’ll join soon”

She bowed and left.

“Let’s go, I’m hungry”

I apprised her

“I will change quickly” she walked to the shelve

I stood up and walked to her

“You’re going like this”

“But.. it’s…”

She looked down at herself

I heard her hand and squeezed it gently

“Let’s go”

When I picked out that one piece for her, it suited the weather and also my desires.

She effortlessly looks sexy in it.

Her erect nipples were visible from the wrapper and the round beauty of her bosom.

Her waist curves were covered but even a blind man will see her well structured hips down to her open fine legs.

“Stop staring and let’s go” she said

We greeted and sat down to eat. Mother wasn’t present

“She’s sleeping”

He replied

“The weather and it’s effects” I said and we smiled.

I looked at Emenike, he was eating.

We had a chance to talk like brothers during our trip and he said he was okay with how things were now.

I know he is still hurting but I’m always going to be here cause no matter what happens he is still my brother.

We went back to our chamber after dinner. Adenike was still bent on talking to me

“The Ikeanja sacrifice, I want it abolished”

She said simply like it was nothing so serious. Is this woman kidding me?

“Why?”

I questioned

“Really? Why? Humans are being sacrificed for nothing and if I’m not mistaken.. maidens”

She blurted.

I read her expressions and she was damn serious s.

She is right no doubt, the sacrifice is something I despise but abolishing it?

Even Father isn’t so pleased about it but it’s ancestral. Our Fore Forefathers have been doing this sacrifice.

“We can’t do anything about the sacrifice” I told her

“We can’t? Or we don’t want to?”

Her gazing deep into mine. We can’t or we don’t want to? This question hits hard.
