love her anymore?”

Leopold’s icy gaze narrowed, a hint of darkness clouding his eyes, “You have the audacity to bring up

Megan? The last call she made was to you, but why did you hide it?”

Leopold stood up, poured a glass of whiskey, and walked to the window.

He closed his eyes, leaning his head against the cold glass window, a wave of heat rushing into his

eyes, a sharp pain coursing through his body.

He gritted his teeth, weathering the pain, and downed his whiskey.
