The CEO’S Unplanned Heir ( Aurelia Hawthorne ) - Season 4 Episode 44
Leopold nearly choked on his drink, coughing into his hand to cover it. He said, “I’ve never even slept
with her, so how’s she pregnant?”
“That’s not possible.” She blurted out. They were always showing off their affection in public, so there
was no way they hadn’t been intimate. She wasn’t a fool.
“I’m not one to fuss about these things, so you don’t have to hide anything from me.”
Leopold chuckled, putting a hand on her shoulder and looking at her seriously, “I always keep my word.
I told you, no other woman will bear my
ild and I intend to keep it that
way.”
For a moment, she was at a loss. She hadn’t crossed any
oundaries with Arnold either,

but she couldn’t say a word. Otherwise, William’s secret wouldn’t be safe.
Until the cooling–off period was over and until she decided to reconcile, she wouldn’t reveal the secret.
“Aren’t you high–society types all about marrying within your circle? Why don’t you find a rich heiress to
marry?”
Leopold playfully nudged her nose, grinning, “Didn’t you say you wanted to achieve financial freedom
through your efforts, to be a high–society woman yourself? That’s far better than being a rich heiress.”
She blushed, that was her lifelong goal, but it seemed so far away.
“I’m just starting, and I don’t know when I’ll achieve it.” She said.
He gently patted her head and said, “I believe in you, and you can do it.”
She smiled awkwardly, falling silent for a bit before changing the subject, “I heard that Arnold’s mother
will be at the wedding, and do you think Mrs. Jessica will…?” She hesitated, but he understood.
Leopold wasn’t worried, “My mother’s seen it all, and she can handle it.”
Hearing this, Aurelia felt reassured. “What’s Arnold’s mother like?”

Leopold didn’t want to comment, he simply warned, “Don’t get too close to her, and don’t believe
everything she says.”
Aurelia nodded, a woman so desperate for power could never be a pure innocent.

“Do you
think it’s a coincidence that Lisa approached Arnold?”
A sharp glint flashed in Leopold’s eyes, “Have you found something?”
She shrugged. “Nothing, just a hunch. Didn’t you once say that behind every accident may

be a conspiracy?”
Leopold’s lips curved into a charming smile, “I thought you’d forgotten all my words, but it seems you
remember quite clearly.”
She pouted, replying, “I have a good memory.”
Leopold ruffled her hair and said, “Conspiracy or not, it’s a good thing for me that he’s getting married.
Otherwise, it would be him here with you, not me.”
Aurelia shot him a glare. He was always cunning and strategic, so he wouldn’t tell her if he’d
discovered anything.
If there was a conspiracy, she wouldn’t stand by and let Arnold be manipulated. After all, he was her
closest friend, and he had saved her life.
In the park, Arnold was playing baseball with William.
Lisa approached from a distance.
Seeing her, his smile disappeared immediately, replaced by a stern expression.
Lisa noticed the change and tried her best to remain calm, “Arnold, I finally found you. Will you come
with me to try on wedding dresses?”
Disgust crossed Arnold’s face, “I won’t be at the wedding, so save your efforts. I’ll have my lawyer draft
the divorce papers, you’d better sign them without causing trouble.”
His words were as cold as a winter breeze, freezing Lisa’s smile, so she replied, “I won’t divorce you. I
didn’t marry you to get a divorce. Your mother still needs me. My blood can speed up her recovery.”
Her words hit Arnold where it hurt. His mother was indeed still in the rejection phase, but he couldn’t
wait any longer.
