The CEO’S Unplanned Heir ( Aurelia Hawthorne ) - Season 4 Episode 23
Aurelia’s heart, once twisted in knots, began to unwind. As long as he was willing to divorce and set her
free, she could agree to any terms.
“Alright, I agree. I hope you’ll keep your word.”
Leopold’s deep, icy gaze flickered in the sunlight, a glimmer of malicious amusement in his eyes.
“You’re to stay here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to take care of Kane.”
Aurelia was taken aback. How could she stay here? Just as she was about to refuse him, Kane came
running from a distance.
“Mommy.” The soft voice carried a powerful force that struck her heart.
“Kane!” Her shoulders trembled, and before she could turn around, the little boy had thrown himself into
her arms with a hug.
“Mommy, you’re finally back. I finally have a mommy.”
Hearing this, Aurelia’s tears could no longer be held back. They gushed out like a burst dam,

unstoppable.
She had left when Kane was only a month old. She didn’t owe Leopold, but she owed Kane. She owed
him the motherly love he deserved.
“I’m sorry, Kane.” She hugged him tightly, the words of refusal stuck in her throat, unable
to be voiced.
“Mommy!” Kane clung to her neck. “You won’t leave me again, will you?”
Aurelia choked, gently stroking his little face. He looked just like William, and she said, “I’ll come to visit
you often.”
“Mommy, I’ll show you my room.”
“Okay.”
She took his hand, and they walked out of the garden together.
Watching them retreating, Leopold’s gaze deepened, like an ancient well that even blocked out the
sunlight.

Aurelia moved into the Royal Emerald Resort apartments with William. Leopold demanded her to
remain chaste, but she had never crossed any boundaries, though she
would never tell him that.
Arnold didn’t want her to accept Leopold’s suggestion because his intuition warned him it was a trap.

Moreover, she wanted to take good care of Kane, to make up for what she owed him.
Arnold decided to move into the same building. Leopold shouldn’t think he could use this trick to kick
him out of the game. The one who should be kicked out was him.
Aurelia stroked her son’s head, and said, “William, if Mommy and Daddy aren’t home, you must listen
to Abbey and the bodyguard. Don’t run around by yourself. If I don’t come back at night, you sleep with
Daddy, okay?”
“Why won’t you come back at night, mommy?” William immediately asked.
“I have to visit your grandparents,” Aurelia forced a smile and said.
What a lie!
William immediately felt a sense of crisis. Mommy must be going to Kane and Mr. Ice’s place. Mr. Ice
was William’s nickname for Leopold because he was as cold as ice. They were definitely planning to
take Mommy away.
While Aurelia was taking a shower, William climbed into Arnold’s lap. “Daddy, you have to keep a close
eye on Mommy to keep her away from the bad man.”
Arnold was taken aback and asked, “Did you eavesdrop on our conversation again?”
William made a face and held up his finger, “I only heard a little bit. Mommy met a bad man at the
Elysium. He wants to take mommy away.”
Arnold stroked his head, and asked, “Would you leave me?”

“No.” William shook his head vigorously, “I love you the most. I’ll always be with you, even when I grow
up.”
Arnold was comforted and gave his little face a loving peck. He had always treated William as his son,
and he believed that between him and Leopold, William would choose him, just like Aurelia.
“Good boy.” Arnold nodded firmly.
Even though William was not his own, as long as he was on his side, he would not lose to Leopold.
