His long fingers audaciously ventured under her nightgown, causing her to shiver as her face turned red.

“Hey…don’t do that. I…I’m not fully recovered yet.”

She tried to shield herself, only for him to grip her arm and pin it to the pillow.

“I’ve seen your medical report. You’re completely recovered.”

His dominance was overwhelming, making her heart pound wildly. Pinned down by him, she felt as

helpless as a turkey on a cutting board, completely at his mercy.

“On the surface, yes, I’ve recovered. But, in reality, I haven’t. I’m not yet fit for…S**ual life.”

Anger and desire blazed in his eyes, mixing to start a wildfire.

“Wanting the rights without fulfilling the duties, what do you think being a wife is?”

His heated body pressed against her skin, almost scorching her, yet a cold fear gripped her heart. She

dared not provoke him, or she wouldn’t escape tonight.

“I’m telling the truth. I need two months to fully recover. Besides, do you prepare…that?”

Leopold raised an eyebrow, “Prepare what?”

“Con…condoms.” Her voice was barely a whisper, but he heard it, and it gave him pause.

He had never used one. Why would he have them on hand?

Taking a deep breath to quell his raging hormones, he let her go.

Aurelia sneered inwardly. This man always went in without protection, no wonder Evelyn got pregnant

so quickly!

“You don’t always go without protection, do you? Don’t want to end up with illegitimate kids all over the

place, do you? More potent than Mr. Chad, aren’t you?”

Piqued by her remark, Leopold could only remain silent.

He was never promiscuous, except with her. He had no interest in other women.

But he didn’t want to explain, because he thought she didn’t need to know.

“Can’t you think more positively?” He sneered.

No! As Aurelia muttered inwardly, the news of Evelyn’s pregnancy filled her mind with negativity,

sweeping away. all positive thoughts.

She jumped off the bed, grabbed her phone from the coffee table.

Leopold’s handsome face darkened.

“Try responding to that text!”

He gritted out the words, his voice as icy as the clash of glaciers.

She plopped down on the sofa, looking up at him with a challenging glint in her eyes. “Didn’t you read

the message? We’re upright and honest, nothing secretive going on. Arnold is a gentleman, as long as

we’re not officially dating, we’re just friends. His concern for me is purely platonic, no ambiguity.”

Leopold’s icy gaze, lit by the room’s light, was ominously cold.

“You’re giving him too much credit.”

He knew if he let go, Arnold would seize the opportunity to take her away.

Between him and Arnold, there was no kinship, only rivalry.

“You’re biased against him,” Aurelia grumbled.

Before she could finish her sentence, Leopold snatched her phone away, confiscating it.

Speechless, she crawled back into bed, playing dead, ignoring him.

The next day, Leopold stayed in the villa, seemingly to keep an eye on her. He didn’t return her phone.

Aurelia felt so frustrated!

At the same time, Arnold waited for her reply, all the way till nightfall.

She must be under Leopold’s control, that’s why she didn’t reply!

Thinking of this, he punched his fist on the coffee table in anger.

Marcia walked over, saying, “Do you know why you lost to him in the first place? Because you’re too

soft, not as ruthless as him!”

A cold flash sparked in Arnold’s eyes as he replied, “If it weren’t for you, how could I have lost

Aurelia?”

Marcia shrugged, “Perhaps it’s fate, destined for you and Leopold to battle again. I’ll help you.”

Arnold immediately declined, “No need, I’d prefer it if you didn’t interfere. I don’t want Aurelia to get hurt.”

At midnight, Aurelia woke from a dream. She thought she heard a baby crying and quickly checked on

the infant in the crib. Kane was fast asleep.

Suddenly, her phone rang. It was an unknown email.

Clinking on it, she saw a picture of a baby!
