The CEO’S Unplanned Heir ( Aurelia Hawthorne ) - Season 3 Episode 42
The moment Aurelia stepped into the office, she was greeted by an icy atmosphere that felt akin to
stepping into a meat locker.
The boss was in a bad mood. No, it was worse than that. She must be careful
“Mr. Leopold, you wanted to see me?” she cautiously asked.
Whenever he was in a foul mood, he wouldn’t take it out on Evelyn, he’d use Aurelia as his punching
bag. It was so unfair.
Leopold picked up his coffee mug on the desk and took a long swig, trying to swallow down his anger.
“Did you explain everything to Jolin yesterday?”
Aurelia pursed her lips, her voice as calm as a gentle breeze, “I did. I told her everything. I explained it
was a medical accident, and that our marriage was a contract. Once the baby is born, we’ll divorce and
go back to our normal lives.”
Leopold jerked because this wasn’t what he’d hoped to hear. He was taken aback by her blatant
honesty.
His anger flamed even more, threatening to burst out of his chest like a rampant volcano.

He held back his anger and asked, “did you see Arnold?“”Did you see Arnold as well?”
“Yes.” She sat down on the couch, deliberately displaying a relaxed demeanor, “Arnold is so wonderful.
He disregarded his reputation and took all the blame for me. Now everyone thinks the baby is his. Our
secret is safe and so are the babies. After the babies are born, you should thank Arnold.”
Leopold was very angry inside.
Thank him for what? For trying to steal his wife?
“Isn’t he curious about who the baby’s father is?”
Aurelia lowered her head, her voice suddenly dropping, “He probably thinks the same as everyone
else. That I had too much fun at a nightclub and made a mistake.”
Leopold took another sip of his coffee, rose from his seat, and walked over to her. He looked down at

her, “Are you touched by him?”

Without hesitation, she nodded, “Of course. It’s human nature to be moved when someone helps and
protects you unconditionally, isn’t it?”
Her honesty stoked his anger even more.
“Do you plan to marry him?”
She looked up at him, her face gradually lighting up with an odd smile, “You once asked me if I could

ever love another man after knowing someone as wonderful as you. I thought I wouldn’t be affected.
But now, I realize that I am. I find myself judging their looks, intelligence, capabilities, and even their
money.”
Leaning back onto the couch, she gently rubbed her belly, “The two most perfect men in the world, one
is you and the other is Arnold. If Arnold doesn’t mind that I’ve been married, got pregnant, and want to
grow
old with me, I’d not refuse.”
Her words were so natural and honest. Each word was like a needle, piercing Leopold’s heart, causing
him to feel a dull ache.
He took a breath to calm his chaotic heartbeat, bent down, and braced his arm against the back of the
couch, trapping her with his body. His eyes glared at her, “If you remember what I said, then you
should
remember this. Once you became my wife, you shouldn’t expect to be with Arnold. You and him are
destined to never be together. You better give up on that idea.”
His words hit Aurelia hard, forcing out her stubbornness and fearlessness.
“You’re overestimating yourself. If two people truly love each other, nothing and no one, apart from
death, can separate them.”
