After dinner, Aurelia retreated to her room to sketch on her drawing board.

She was so engrossed that she didn’t notice the quiet arrival of someone behind her.

“What bird is this?”

The deep, captivating voice of the man caught her off guard, making her shiver slightly.

Turning around, she faced his strikingly handsome features, his charming lips almost meeting hers. She instinctively moved back.

Wasn’t the CEO supposed to be playing golf with his golden girl?

Shouldn’t he be having a candlelit dinner at this time?

Why was he here?

She cleared her throat and said softly, “It’s a robin. I’m planning to make birds the theme of this wedding series. In nature, birds are the most loyal animals. Ninety percent of bird species were monogamy. I’ve chosen swans, geese, condors, lovebirds and robins, all of which strictly adhere to monogamy, and most of them choose to live alone after their mate dies, without seeking a new one.”

She paused, then continued, “Each of these birds has a different story and a unique way of cohabitation. Like the robin, they know how to keep love fresh. Male robins take great care of their partners, even noticing small details in their daily lives, like their eating habits.”

Leopold’s deep eyes sparkled slightly.

Aurelia’s uniqueness lay in the fact that her designs were not just beautiful pieces of art, but they were vivid, had a story, and a soul.

“Good job, keep going.”

Aurelia put down her drawing board and picked up an orange, starting to peel it.

“Humans are the ones who seek loyal love the most, desiring a lifelong partner, but ironically, they are also the ones most likely to change their hearts and cheat. It’s quite funny, don’t you think?”

Leopold gazed at her, his eyes deep and inscrutable.

As she was about to put a slice of orange into her mouth, he suddenly grabbed her hand, bent down, and took a bite of the orange from her hand.

She was speechless.

Didn’t he dislike oranges?

Why was he stealing hers?

In her surprise, he peeled a slice of orange and placed it in her mouth.

This gesture felt like…flirting!

Her cheeks turned slightly red and she quickly turned around to continue her sketching.

He leaned over, his hands on the arms of the chair, and whispered in her ear, “Are you one of those fickle humans?”

His voice was soft, low, like a feather brushing against her ear.

She shivered slightly, “Of course not. I will love only one person in my life, but the condition is that he also

loves me and he is worth my love.”

Leopold’s lips curved into a sarcastic smile, “So, your love is conditional?”

She pursed her lips, “I’m not a silly girl. I’m a rational person.”

Leopold reached out and ruffled her hair.

All this calculation in a love affair, no wonder she was single.

“The man who falls in love with you must be a silly man.”

Aurelia popped the remaining orange in her mouth. After finishing it, she turned to him, looking serious, “I was pursued by many in college, including a senior from my school, who’s widely recognized as the most handsome guy. He’s been waiting for me, chatting with me on WhatsApp every week.”

Leopold’s eyebrows furrowed instinctively.

This woman indeed had a knack for attracting men. Otherwise, Arnold wouldn’t have given up everything to be around her like a bee to honey.

“Block all the men pursuing you on your WhatsApp” he commanded dominantly

Aurelia gave him an annoyed look. Treat others as you wish to be treated.

He was free to flirt, yet he wanted to restrict others from chatting. Was that fair?

“Unless you block first, you definitely have more fangirls on your WhatsApp than I do.”
