Arnold shrugged. “He’s just inherited the family business. If he goes against his father’s last wish, Aunt Elara wouldn’t stand for it. His mother, Jessica Stirling managed to secure her position in the Stirling family largely because of Elara’s support. Jessica is grateful to Elara and wouldn’t allow Leopold to back out of the marriage.”

Aurelia felt a shiver run down her spine.

She guessed that if she gave birth in the morning, Leopold would whisk her off to city hall for a divorce by afternoon.

If this matter were to become public, it would undoubtedly cause a great stir within the Stirling family and affect Leopold’s position.

“It seems Evelyn still has a long way to go,” she mused.

Arnold swirled his wine glass. “In Leopold’s eyes, she may not measure up to Megan, but Evelyn is far more cunning. She might just be successful in securing her position.”

Aurelia was worried. The last thing she wanted was for Evelyn to become the stepmother of her children.

She was even less suitable than Elowen.

Leopold didn’t like Elowen. He wouldn’t even touch her, let alone have a child with her.

Evelyn was different. If he married her, his decision to avoid having another child might waver.

If Evelyn had a biological child, how could she not treat a stepchild harshly?

“Can you forward me the video?”

A flash of sharpness crossed Arnold’s eyes, and without further question, he sent the video.

Aurelia smirked. “Whether Evelyn can become the CEO’s wife is none of my concern, but I won’t back down from the director’s position.”

Arnold got her a glass of juice. “I support you.”

Back at her apartment, Aurelia forwarded the video to Elowen.

At the moment, Elowen was enjoying a relaxing aromatherapy spa session. Seeing the WhatsApp message, she was furious and immediately fired back on Whatsapp, “Just like sisters, both of you will fail due to your poor fortune.”

Aurelia glanced at the message, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

Although she couldn’t stay by her children’s side and watch them grow, she would do everything in her power to create a good environment for them.

As long as Leopold didn’t have another child, he would protect them and give them enough paternal love.

The next day at the company, she received some bad news.

Only the teams led by Jack and Wendy were willing to follow Harry in marketing the ‘Destiny‘ series. The rest chose to follow Louis and market the ‘Eternal Love‘ series.

In the end, she only secured the resources of two teams.

They were all seasoned players in the corporate, calculating their moves wisely.

Evelyn was the big boss‘ woman. Even if she couldn’t become the director, she would be the boss mistress in the future. Sticking with her team, win or lose, they would not be affected.

On the other hand, teaming up with Aurelia was risky. If they won, it didn’t necessarily please the big boss. If they lost, they would lose their jobs along with her. Who would be willing to take such a risk?

Aurelia was downcast the entire morning.

If it was just her personal battle and she lost, she could simply leave. But she had colleagues who followed and supported her. She couldn’t let them down.

She gritted her teeth, got up, and walked out.

In the CEO’s office, Leopold had just finished a video conference. He leaned back in his chair, sipped his coffee, a sharp glint in his eyes.

He had already heard about the marketing department’s situation and guessed that she would come to see

him.

“Having some setbacks?” He asked.

Aurelia sat on the sofa, getting a glass of water. “You said if I had any issues, I could come straight to you, right?”

Leopold’s eyes darkened slightly, he uttered a single word, “Yes.”

Aurelia pursed her lips and got straight to the point, “I need the full support of the Commerce Department.”

She had already lost the advantage in physical store sales. Only by taking the lead in online promotion and sales could she turn the tables.
