Taya was speechless. She didn’t know how to explain any of this right now to Jackson.

She was wearing Griffon’s clothes, which were huge on her body.

Her lips were red and swollen, and seeing the love bites on her neck hurt Jackson.

His eyes were red, and his hands were trembling. He wanted to touch the places Griffon had touched, as if he could erase the evidence of what the other wolf had done, but Taya avoided his hand.

For Jackson, the action of Taya instinctively avoiding him was more hurtful than the sounds they made when they were locked inside Griffon’s bedroom.

He took a step back in disbelief and looked at the

woman standing at the door.

Until this moment, Jackson realized that what five years apart meant was not amnesia but loss.

After his brother pretended to be him and tried to kill Taya, he completely lost her…even though his brother’s attempt hadn’t been successful.

Angry, burning tears welled up in his eyes, making it impossible for him to clearly see what Taya looked like.

He staggered forward with difficulty, raised his hand, and pulled her into his embrace.

He hugged her with all the strength he dared, as if he wanted to pull her into his bones and blood.

But he couldn’t feel any response from her.

In the past when he hugged her, she would smile and put her arms around his waist.

She would snuggle in his arms and acted like a spoiled child. “Silas, can you stop being so busy with work and spend more time with me?”

Taya had asked him to spend more time with her. But

he had never had time to accompany her in order to give her a better future and life.

When a drop of moisture fell on her collarbone, Taya was shocked. She wanted to raise her head, but his big palm grabbed her.

Taya stopped moving and allowed him to hug her, but her mind went blank.

Jackson was acting abnormally. It was as if he had changed into another person.

“I’m sorry.”

He buried his head in her neck and apologized in a low, gruff voice.
