The Alpha’s Courting - Season 1 Episode 20
Antonia Traver’s POV
The next morning, I hurried off to work after I made sure my three babies were on the school bus.
I simply took off my heels and held them in my hands as I sprinted ahead because I was almost late.
I had just arrived at the downstairs of the building when a Rolls-Royce suddenly appeared beside me. It was so fast I couldn’t avoid it, and was so startled I fell on the ground.
The car came to a stop when it was an inch in front of me.
My heart almost fell out of my chest as I looked at the car that almost hit me.
I was an inch away from seeing my maker!
However, the person in the car remained unmoving. They didn’t look like they even had the thought to apologize to me,
The company’s security was the one who came over to help me up, but he scolded me, “Don’t go around so recklessly when you are walking. You almost hit the president’s car.”
Enraged, I whipped my head around to glare at the person in the car. “They were the ones who almost hit
me”
The security guards at the Dallas Group had a standard poker face devoid of any emotion.
On the other hand, Elijah, who sat in the backseat, was staring at me with a chilling gaze.
That immediately made me stop in my tracks as I tried to make sense of what was happening.
I was the victim, okay?! How dare he look at me that way!
I then saw Elijah’s hand gesture before the car drove off.
Even though I was pissed off, he was my superior. I could only dust off my wounded palms and painfully numb behind before I limped into the company.
As I entered the elevator, I recalled Elijah’s gaze, and I couldn’t comprehend just what I did to ruffle that devil’s feather.
I had always been conscientious and dedicated from the moment I became a part of this company. I never did anything wrong.
The only time I had an encounter with him was at the restaurant, where he bumped into me, and I accidentally threw spaghetti all over Holt’s face. I thought he was helping me teach Holt a lesson on purpose, but it seemed like I had looked too much into it.

I didn’t say anything when his driver almost knocked me down with his car and injured me, and yet he dared to glare at me with those scary eyes? What a weirdo!

Perhaps there was no justifiable reason for his reaction-he was just born a temperamental devil!
Thinking of this put me at ease. A skin-deep wound was nothing to me. I was just glad that I didn’t offend that devil, or I could jeopardize my days ahead.
I wouldn’t have known now that this was only the beginning of my bad luck.
After I arrived on the 13th floor, I hadn’t even sat down when the manager of the Administrative Department, Roland Yves, started chewing my head off. “You’re late on the first day of work? Who do you think you are? A princess?”
T-
“The president had someone come down to check every department’s attendance. Our department was severely criticized because you were late. There goes this quarter’s departmental bonuses!”
“I am sorry, Mr. Yves, I was late because-”
“Don’t bother giving an excuse.” He cut me off and roared, “Postpone every task you have on hand, and go clean the pool on Level 68!”
“What?” I was stunned. “Clean the pool? But why?”
“What do you mean why? This is your punishment. Would you prefer having a salary cut instead?” Roy deadpanned.
“No, no. Of course not.” I immediately nodded in agreement as soon as I heard him bring up a salary deduction. “I will go right this instant.”
And so, I got on the elevator and went to Level 68.
This was the rooftop on the top floor, and there was a luxurious infinity pool. I could tell at a glance that this was for that devil Elijah’s personal use!
I couldn’t understand why Roland wanted me to clean up the area when it was so clean even the tiles looked like mirrors.
Still, I didn’t mind doing as I was told as long as my salary wasn’t deducted.
I proceeded to roll up my sleeves before I cleaned the pool. In the end, three hours went by just like that.
I cleaned the floor, and also filled the pool with clean water.
Just as I was about to pack up my stuff and head downstairs, I suddenly noticed someone lying on the lounger by the poolside when I turned around.
That scared the living daylights out of me. When I finally recognized who it was, I squeaked in a shaky voice, “Mr. Stone, w-when did you come here?”
