The Alpha’s Courting - Season 1 Episode 16
Antonia Traver’s POV
I was taken aback. I never would’ve expected Elijah to be the one that bumped into me.
He had four bodyguards around him at all times. How could he have bumped into me?
Did he… do it on purpose?
“Antonia Traver, don’t you watch where you’re going?!” Michael roared at me.

“I’m so, so sorry!” I pointed in the direction where Elijah was heading off to and explained weakly, “The president bumped into me just now, so I accidentally——”
“You’re still trying to push the blame=”
“Mr. Lane. Just as I was at a loss over how I should explain what happened, Larry came over and cut Michael off before asking icily, “Are you blaming this on Mr. Stone?”
“No, of course not! Why would I even think of that… Michael started backtracking. “I was talking about her —No, I meant me. I’m talking about me. I wasn’t watching where I was going.”
“That’s right.” Larry nodded in satisfaction before warning, “Watch where you’re going next time, especially when you’re at the restaurant. And also, don’t waste food!”
“I will!” Michael humbly lowered his head.
I was secretly cheering at the sight of Michael getting knocked down a peg.
This b*stard had finally run into someone he couldn’t bulldoze his way over. I doubt he would try to hara*s me again!
Elijah Stone’s POV
Over the weekends, I went two whole days without seeing Antonia. Dolph was getting a little antsy. He missed her and kept pestering me to go and look for her, but I was busy with work all morning and could only take a short break during lunch.
Dolph suggested that I take my lunch at the employee restaurant on the 21st floor because Antonia was there.
Although I hated crowds, I went anyway. On one hand, it was to appease Dolph, while on the other, I felt like seeing her too. I hoped that something interesting would happen this time as well.
I found a seat by the window and sat down. It was the perfect spot for me to keep an eye on Antonia.
I saw her getting her lunch, and when she started eating, a man started hara*sing her.
It was that guy, Michael Lane, again, the one who was picking on Antonia back at Twilight Bar. Antonia mentioned that she had finally found a job with great difficulty but an “sshole was setting her up.
Is he the “sshole she was talking about?
I saw Michael trying to strike up a conversation with Antonia. She looked like she hated it, but she wasn’t protesting in any way.
All the employees were talking about me in hushed whispers. Although they kept their voices down. werewolves had far keener senses than regular humans, and I could hear Michael hinting that he was on good terms with me.
Hah. That b*stard got quite a pair of balls
Antonia stood up. It looked as if she couldn’t stand Michael’s behavior any longer and was finally going to leave, but he ran after her.
Why’s this woman so dumb? Wasn’t she so a*sertive with me at the bar? Why’s she being so weak in front of this “sshole!
I decided to seize this chance to teach Michael a lesson, so I strode over to them. Once I was behind Antonia, I calculated everything just right, including the direction and the amount of force to exert, before pushing her forward.
Just as I thought, the leftovers on her plate splattered across Michael’s face.
I saw Antonia’s surprised and secretly pleased expression. Dolph began to howl in excitement. “Good job, Elijah! That’s exactly what you should’ve done! Hey, look at Luna’s expression. She’s so happy. I’m sure she feels grateful toward you. This means there’s hope for us to take things further with her.”
After seeing the disheveled state Michael was in, I smirked and walked off in a good mood.

When I walked into the elevator, my phone started ringing. It was a call from one of my subordinates.
The smile on my face disappeared at once as I answered the phone grimly. “Speak.”
“Mr. Stone, we caught Panda, but he doesn’t have the chip on him. He must’ve hidden it somewhere else, and he refuses to tell me where it is no matter how I threaten him. It looks like we’ll have to use some less savory means.”
“Guys like these go through hellish training. Threats and torture won’t work.” I instructed him calmly, “Check all the security footage at Central Mall. See if he had pa*sed the chip to any of his partners or colleagues.”
“Got it, Mr. Stone. We’ll start looking into it right now!”
Antonia Traver’s POV
After a busy day at work, I went home to find that Mrs. Cherry had already prepared a delicious dinner. The five of us sat down to a happy meal together.
Just then, Little Pepper flew over and landed on Rose’s shoulder. It rubbed its little head against her chubby cheek.
Rose fed it a sunflower seed, but it didn’t start eating enthusiastically the way it usually did. Instead, it shook his head and kept burping instead.
Little Pepper loved sunflower seeds. I was puzzled as to why it wasn’t eating, but Rose quickly looked at me frantically. “Mommy, Little Pepper hasn’t been eating at all since last night. It keeps burping. Do you
think it’s sick?”
“It hasn’t eaten all day? What’s going on?”
1 stroked Little Pepper’s head in worry and saw how it hung its head dispiritedly.
“Maybe it hasn’t recovered from the shock it got yesterday at the mall?” Mrs. Cherry suggested. “Let’s take it to the vet tonight.”
I nodded in agreement. “Yeah. We should let the vet run a check-up,”
Robert Traver’s POV
I stared at Little Pepper and wrestled with my thoughts for quite some time before speaking up, “Mommy, actually, Little Pepper swallowed a piece of gold. That’s why it’s feeling sick.”
“A piece of gold?” I saw the astonished look on Mommy’s face.
“That’s right. It’s about this big-” I demonstrated with my fingers. “It’s about the size of the tip of my thumb.
“I don’t recall us having a piece of gold like that at home.”
I filled them in on what happened at the mall yesterday. “It didn’t happen at home. It was at the mall. A man in black who was wearing a mask gave it to me…”
I was pretty excited as I told them the whole story, but no one believed me.
“Hahaha!” Mrs. Cherry laughed heartily. “Robert, what an interesting story you’ve come up with.”
“I’ve been saying that you watch too many cartoons. Barnabas eyed me. I saw the look in his eyes that conveyed his disdain for my childishness.
“Why don’t any of you believe me!” I turned red from frustration. “Mommy, do you believe me?”
“I do!” Mommy placed a chicken wing on my plate. “Once we’re done with dinner, we’ll take Little Pepper to the vet.
Although Mommy said she believed me, I could tell from the tone in her voice that she didn’t truly mean it.
I was upset, but I couldn’t say anything. After dinner, we took Little Pepper to the vet.
The vet gave Little Pepper a full check-up and said it was just suffering from indigestion. All it needed was some medicine to help with indigestion, and everything would be fine.
Just wait until Little Pepper poops the piece of gold out, I thought to myself. When that happens, everyone will know whether I’m telling the tAnna!
