- Season 2 Episode 27 - Everyone Got What They Deserved
This person was my senior in college and also my fellow townsman, Marsh Alcott.
I had always heard that he had gone abroad and hadn’t heard from him for many years, so I quickly asked my assistant, Christina Schmitt, to invite. him for an interview.
Christina was actually a long–time employee of Prosper Materials. She didn’t have a high level of education, but her business skills were quite good. She had an exceptional memory and was very clever. The reason I kept her on was because she had previously had a conflict with Lelia, so I directly made her my assistant.
When I saw Marsh, I could tell from his calm expression that he knew I was the boss of Prosper Materials.
In my joy, I also asked straightforwardly, “Did you know it was me?”
He lifted the corner of his mouth in a smile, “I know!”
“But my temple here is small, it’s a bit mismatched with your education and experience!” I said bluntly, “The salary definitely can’t reach your standard in a big company!”
“Well done, you can give me shares! Neither of us will lose!” He said more directly, “Don’t worry, I’ll work hard! Everyone gets what they deserve!”
I was taken aback for a moment, did they come straight to my company?
Seeing my hesitation, he laughed and said, “What’s the matter? Don’t dare to give it a try?”

“Then you need to present a feasibility report. Empty words are not convincing, how can you call that good?” I was also blunt, “I won’t fall for empty promises! Don’t forget, I just got rid of a parasite.”
We both laughed at his words, then he said seriously, “I will give you a satisfactory answer! I also understand some of the reasons for your divorce, but rest assured, I am definitely not an ingrate. I will use my wisdom to create higher value and get what I want!”
I was really embarrassed, my divorce was such a scandal that it was known all over the town.
Actually, I did know a bit about Marsh. He was my senior in high school and we both got into River City University. We were the only two from our small town who went to River City University. Back then, he took good care of me. During the winter and summer vacations of our freshman year, we always went back to our hometown together. He arranged everything for me, just like an older brother next door.
Later, I fell in love with Oswald, who also graduated and left school. It was said that he went abroad to study.

After discussing work, we chatted about a few other topics. I asked him where he had been these past few years. Before the interview ended, he said he would hand in his paper within three days.
In the evening, I called Eleanor and asked her to find a way to investigate Marsh’s whereabouts over the past few years. After all, this was related to my next step of the plan.
Actually, when Marsh voiced this condition, I was struck by a thought. If I wanted to strengthen Prosper Materials and help it regain its footing. I couldn’t revert to the business model from ten years ago when we first started. That was a small workshop model, and it would inevitably lead to only one outcome – being eliminated.
To switch modes and thinking, I lacked experience and really needed

talent, reliable talent. I couldn’t afford to be tripped up by a stone and end
up with a bloody head.
Then I was the real fool!
Oswald taught me a valuable lesson.
I discussed my ideas with Eleanor. After all, she was an elite in the workplace. Although she was in a different industry, her experience was still very sophisticated.
“Did you want to go public?”
“There was nothing wrong with that. After all, I was alone and powerless. Even if I were made of iron, how many nails could I drive? Having a good partner would be a nice choice! Besides, I liked his way of taking shares with performance.”
Eleanor nodded, “Then I’ll try to dig up some dirt on him for you!”
I nodded, Marsh’s appearance was indeed a timely help, but I also had to be cautious.
