I got off the car, not intending to wait for him, and walked inwards leading Joy. Oswald followed us, still looking at me with a faint smile.
In the past, he would always let me go alone at such times. This time, it was clear that he wanted to verify if I was lying.
I arrived at a specialty store and glanced at the shoes on the shelf. Oswald was watching me with a serious look, clearly waiting for me to make a fool of myself.
Unexpectedly, a sales associate recognized me, “Is it Ms. Byrne, are you here to pick up shoes?”
I chuckled, “Yes!”
“Everything is ready for you, I’ll get it for you right away!” After saying this, he ran into the warehouse and soon handed me the shoe box, “Size
brown!”
I reached out to take it, opened it to have a look, then passed it to Oswald, and thanked the salesperson.
Oswald paused slightly, then immediately took the shoe box with a gentle face, hugged me considerately, and thanked the sales guide in a very gentlemanly manner.
On the way back, Oswald seemed quite excited, constantly making conversation out of nothing, chattering all the way. I just responded indifferently.
I ate very little of this meal. Firstly, I had a gallbladder pain in the afternoon, so I dared not eat greasy food. Secondly, seeing Lelia sitting next to Oswald really killed my appetite. To be honest, sitting in front of

this family suddenly made me feel an unprecedented nausea.

Oswald had been constantly serving me food, while Lelia’s eyes were glaring at me with extreme dissatisfaction.
“Sister–in–law, I’ve never seen you being so fussy when eating at your home.” she finally couldn’t stand it anymore, “How come you are now even harder to please than Joy?”
“Didn’t your brother always take care of you?” I said to Lelia with a beaming smile.
Her pupils suddenly contracted, scrutinizing me, “What… what do you mean?”
I reached out and placed the dish that Oswald had prepared for me in front of her, “Boring, I didn’t touch it, you eat if you like! Just because your brother likes it, doesn’t mean I do, his taste is too strong!”

Then I looked at Oswald, “You better take care of your sister! I’ve been feeling nauseous these past few days, my stomach hasn’t been good. I went to the hospital this afternoon! The doctor told me to watch my diet!”
I saw Oswald’s face looking a bit unnatural, he paused with his chopsticks in hand and looked at me, the emotion in his eyes was obscure and unclear.
Lelia sneakily glanced at Oswald, nudged the plate, and muttered, “I’m not picking up your leftovers.”
I chuckled mysteriously and asked with hidden intentions, “Really? What’s there to fear about the dish? It’s not like it’s someone else! Besides, I haven’t touched this dish!”
I was inwardly cursing, not picking up my leftovers? Even the people I’ve used, you pick up and use, and you still have the nerve to say you don’t pick up my leftovers?

Dinah glanced at Lelia, “You’re so sharp–tongued, with your attitude, what kind of family could possibly tolerate you in the future?”
“Then don’t look. I never wanted to leave this home, is that not okay?” Lelia said, her tone very assertive.
Watching Lelia speak so confidently, I almost laughed out loud, wondering what Dinah would think if she knew about the lively sibling relationship she had given birth to.
“What are you not looking for? Do you expect your brother to support you for the rest of your life?” Dinah chimed in without understanding, a statement I believe would sound harsh to anyone who understood it.
I gave a faint smile, not participating. Too much talk leads to mistakes, it wasn’t the time for me to burn bridges yet.
But my attempts to keep a low profile were in vain, as some people just wouldn’t let it go.
“Every time you come back, there’s bound to be trouble!” Lelia pointed her spear directly at me, “Don’t think that just because you’ve entered this house, you’re part of this family?”
When Lelia said this, she acted as if she was the domineering wife in control, and I felt like the oppressed little wife.
Chewing on something in my mouth, I calmly raised my head, looking at Lelia, trying to keep my tone as gentle as possible, “Are you talking about me?”
“It’s you I’m talking about, what’s wrong?” Lelia really wasn’t afraid of stirring up trouble.
“Um! Good!” I unusually praised.
Then, I put the chopsticks in my hand on the table. The members of the Price family all stared at me in astonishment, each with a different
