- Season 1 Episode 22 - Who Is That Woman?
I couldn’t believe it. The keys in my hand, placed side by side, didn’t match at all. I had some doubts. How could they be different? Did I misunderstand Eleanor? Was it possible that the homewrecker was not her, or that Oswald’s key had another secret?
This result truly surprised me. I didn’t know whether to feel relieved or frustrated.
My mind went blank. I had a feeling that someone was approaching me, so I turned around abruptly. In that instant, I was startled as Eleanor was looking at me calmly from behind.
“Have you found the answer?” she calmly asked, like a wise strategist overseeing everything.
My mouth trembled as I looked at Eleanor, feeling like I couldn’t see through her any more. Of course, it was quite embarrassing to have my actions exposed. I straightened my back and fixed my eyes on her, determined and fierce. “Eleanor, what do you want to say? Why did you deceive me? What is your relationship with Oswald?”
Eleanor’s calmness was unexpected, making me angry and embarrassed.
“I never deceive you. I know what you’re talking about. You’re referring to the time I saw Oswald at the café!” Eleanor looked composed. “Because I didn’t want you to get hurt! I will always be there for you, and I will never take away who you love! Is our friendship so fragile?”
Eleanor continued to stare at me as she questioned me.

I quickly squatted and hugged her comfortably. “Don’t worry, baby. Eleanor and I were just discussing something, not arguing!”

Eleanor also walked over and crouched down. She caressed Jocelyn’s head gently. “Jocelyn, your Mom and I will never fight. We are the best friends. Don’t be afraid, okay?”
After saying that, Eleanor looked at me and patted my shoulder before softly saying, “We’ll talk later. Trust me!”
Eleanor soothed us as if we were two frightened kittens. I picked up Jocelyn and returned to the living room because I wanted to know what Eleanor hid from me.
The lunch was abundant, and we both tried to create a gentle atmosphere. Amused, Jocelyn kept giggling. The initial tension and fear were completely gone as she happily ran around the house, losing herself in excitement. My eyes were filled with tears and sourness.
When Jocelyn was replete and exhausted from playing, her big dark eyes looked a bit droopy. Eleanor carried her and asked, “Do you want to take a nap? You can sleep in my bed.”
Jocelyn looked at me, and I nodded with a smile. She cheered in response.

Eleanor brought us to her bedroom. I lay down with Jocelyn in my arms as she blinked her tired eyes. “Mommy, Eleanor’s big house is so nice!”
Hearing these words from my daughter, I almost cried.
I held Jocelyn tightly and promised her with certainty, “Mommy will also give you a big house like this, Joy!”
“Really?” Jocelyn asks innocently.
“Yes! Absolutely!” I promised her while gritting my teeth.

I tugged Jocelyn in and gave her a kiss before quietly getting up and leaving the room. Eleanor was silently drinking red wine in the living room. As I came out, her eyes followed my every move until I sat in front of her.
She served a glass for me. We clinked our glasses and gulped down the wine.
“You go first!”
“You go first!”
We said in unison.
Then we smiled at each other. Perhaps this scene was familiar.
“Oswald is having an affair. Do you know?” I got straight to the point.
“Yes. It was the day I told you I saw Oswald!” Eleanor’s response was straightforward. “I suddenly left because I found someone to investigate and confirm the footage from that day. I was afraid I might have been mistaken.”
I closed my eyes, and tears uncontrollably streamed down. but I gritted my teeth, opened my eyes, and looked at Eleanor. “Who is that woman?”
