Surviving Divorce Her Miraculous Second Chance - Season 1 Episode 1
At night. I finally had the time to take a breath after putting my daughter in bed. I sat on the bed and scrolled through my phone idly. Suddenly, my finger stopped swiping when I saw a live-streaming channel. I immediately sat up straight and stared at my phone with wide eyes.
Shame that the streamer had turned her camera away from the crowd. My heart was thumping, and my hand became sweaty. I hastily checked the time on the video and made sure that it was a live feed from my city. I quickly turned off the app and made a video call to Oswald Price. He was my husband and was on a three-day business trip in Bellen City.
But I just saw him on the live streaming of my city. There was a woman in his arms. He didn’t pick up until the phone rang for a long time. The camera shook before focusing on Oswald’s handsome face. He said gently, “Hello, honey.” “Where are you?” I asked while glancing at the scene behind him. It looked like a hallway of a restaurant, and Oswald was wearing a white shirt with a tie. The man I saw on the livestream was in a grey trench coat.
“I’m having dinner with a client. I came out to answer your call. What’s wrong?” Oswald asked. “Does Jocelyn go to bed?” “Are you in Bellen City?” instead of answering, I asked another question. “Of course. Are you OK?” Oswald answered firmly and looked at me confusedly. “Yes. I’m… fine,”
I replied distractedly before asking, “When will you be back?” “Soon… I’ll come back as soon as I finish up. Do you miss me?” Oswald smiled lovingly. “I’ll hurry up. It’s late. Go to bed early, OK? I need to go back to work. Bye.”
He blew me a kiss before hanging up. I sat in a stupor with the phone in my hand, feeling guilty for questioning Oswald. Oswald was a great husband. He was good-looking and loved me and our daughter deeply. When we first met, he wasn’t rich. Although he was born in the River City, his family was poor and his sister was a sickly child.
I chose him among all the suitors because of his look. After graduation, I mortgaged my parents’ house to start a building materials company from scratch with him just because I wanted to stay here with him. Oswald was in charge of the suppliers while I was out finding clients day and night. I had to drink so much that I nearly had stomach bleeding. As our company started thriving, I got pregnant and decided to quit. From then on, Oswald ran the company while I stayed at home to take care of our child. How time flew.

Our daughter, Jocelyn Price, was four years old. We were a happy and wealthy family that everyone envied. We never had a wedding. Oswald always felt guilty about it and talked about making up for me by providing me with a great life. He was such a nice husband. There was no way that he cheated.
I chuckled and blamed myself for watching too many soap operas. Lying on the bed, I still couldn’t get the fleeting image out of my head. I thought it was because I missed Oswald too much. What was more, the coat looked too familiar. I ironed the extra same coat for Oswald before he left. My conclusion was it was a mistake. A man who looked like Oswald happened to wear the same coat. Oswald came home early the next day. He bought many sweets back for Jocelyn. He pulled us into his arms, and we sat happily together.
I cooked the dishes he liked for dinner, wanting to give him a treat. When he sat down at the dinner table, he glanced at me and said casually, “Take a shower first to remove the cooking smell in your hair.” I took a sniff nonchalantly and smirked, “This is the smell of home. You should like it.”
Oswald smiled indulgently and ruffled my hair before shoving a spoonful of food in my mouth. He then gave Jocelyn a spoon too. “Fine. You’re both my sweethearts. Let’s eat.” After dinner, I put Jocelyn to bed swiftly and took a shower. I leaned in and asked in a sultry voice, “How do I smell now?” Oswald smiled and pinched me softly.
“I miss you so much, honey.” He seemed extra excited that night. After S**, Oswald went to the bathroom. Watching his striking figure from behind, I smiled contently. Wanting to shower, I got up but stopped when I noticed the flash of Oswald’s phone. It was a Line message. I glanced at it and froze in place…
