Beauty’s Tear was a masterpiece designed by the famous designer Yara and was considered a treasure in the jewelry design industry.

That piece of jewelry caused a tremendous uproar when it first appeared because it was an exquisite and opulent purple diamond necklace that was Yara’s life’s work.

Cedric had spent almost thirty years trying to find this necklace but to no avail.

The reason he was looking for the necklace was straightforward. Yara was his fiancée, and he wanted to find her masterpiece to keep it by his side so that it would remind him of her.

Yara was a talented designer. However, fate was cruel to her. The day before the wedding, she passed away in a car accident just as she was about to wed Cedric.

Cedric never married because of that.

In the past, Bailey did not understand Cedric’s feelings for Yara.

She had thought that many outstanding women would make excellent wives for Cedric, so she did not understand why he would choose to live in solitude.

However, she finally understood him after falling head over heels for Artemis. Some people were unwilling to accommodate and settle for the next best.

A deep and magnetic voice sounded in every corner of the venue.

One of the executives of Auro Pawnshop made an opening speech. A round of enthusiastic applause followed it. The auction then started.

Initially, there were few bids as people were not interested in these items.

It was evident everyone was waiting for the grand finale.

After auctioning three antiques, the atmosphere was still rather dull.

The management was worried that the auction items before the finale item would not be able to fetch high prices, so they changed their strategy and instructed the emcee to bring out the finale item right away.

The emcee immediately announced loudly through the microphone, “Two days ago, a lady commissioned us to help her auction her item. After we obtained it, we found a few appraisers to authenticate it. In the end, they came to the same conclusion. The item is Yara’s masterpiece that disappeared thirty years ago. It’s Beauty’s Tear, the purple diamond necklace.”

With that, the crowd became excited. Everyone was urging the emcee to bring out the necklace so they could behold it.

The next second, two female emcees pushed a cart from behind the stage.
