Artemis narrowed his eyes to look at Bailey as he sized her up.

Ignoring him, Bailey stretched out her slender fingertip to hook Cadence’s chin.

As soon as the tip of her finger touched Cadence’s skin, Artemis immediately slapped it away.

“Don’t touch another man,” he warned her with a stern voice.

Bailey rolled her eyes. I even seduced this dirty old man before he came. If he finds out, is he going to explode with rage?

“What’s wrong with him?” asked Artemis, frowning.

Bailey shrugged and said indifferently, “I placed him in deep hypnosis earlier. He needs some time to regain his clarity, which is why he’s acting a little deranged now.”

After finishing her words, she snapped her fingers twice in front of Cadence.

Cadence’s frightened eyes gradually regained focus, and he returned to normal in an instant.

“Bailey, you f*cking tricked me!”

With that, he leaped to his feet, intending on pouncing on Bailey to strangle her.

However, his limbs had all been broken by Artemis. When he moved, the pain in his joints was agonizing. He screamed in severe pain before slumping on the floor again.

“Bailey, what did you do to me just now? What the hell did you do to me just now!”

Bailey spread her hands and said with a smirk, “Please don’t tell me that you didn’t know I could hypnotize. Cadence, do you know how you ended up in such a pathetic situation? How could you let a top hypnotist seduce you?”

“Y-You’re a hypnotist?” Cadence looked at her in horror, and his body began to tremble violently as he thought of something.

“So the man who had sex with Rhonda at the hotel that day was not Artemis. She was hypnotized by you, and you instilled thoughts into her mind, causing that fool to think it was him. You did the same thing to her again this time. You hypnotized her and made her believe that she had successfully poisoned the two kids. The kids are actually fine.”

“That’s right,” Bailey admitted right away.

She did not want to waste time on him anymore.

“Cadence, why do you hate me so much? Is it because Cataleya did not take you as her apprentice back then and taught me everything that she’s learned in her life? You even tried to tamper with the new drug that I invented just for the sake of taking revenge on me. You treat human lives as though they’re nothing. Do you think you’re still qualified to stay in the medical industry?”

Cadence stared at her blankly. “An ordinary hypnotist wouldn’t be able to control a person’s mind and forcibly instill thoughts into the mind of the hypnotized person. Who the hell are you?”

Bailey smiled faintly, leaned toward him, and whispered in his ear, “Have you heard of ‘Ethereal’?”

Cadence stared at Bailey with widened eyes and a dumbfounded expression.

S-She is Ethereal! Invincible. She’s indeed invincible!

“What are you going to do with me? Do you want to send me to prison or to Uramuzor?”

Bailey scoffed and wagged a finger at him. “No, no, no. I’m not going to send you to prison or Uramuzor. For a dangerous person like you, I can only rest assured that you will not harm people anymore when I see you dead.”

With that, she struggled to stand up from the couch and looked down at him. “I will not let go of anyone who tries to hurt my kids. You may die in peace now.”

“You b*tch! I’m going to kill you!”

Cadence leaned forward and tried to lunge toward her.

He hated her. He hated her ruthlessness for not showing him any mercy at all.

Suddenly, a black shadow darted in between them. Artemis stood in front of Bailey and kicked Cadence a few meters away.

How dare you touch my woman! I’m not going to let you walk out of this factory alive tonight!

Cadence spat out a mouthful of blood and looked up at Artemis while lying on the ground. “Mr. Luther, you have an amazing wife. I’ve had so much fun with her in the past month or so. How’s it feel to be cheated on by your wife? Does it feel good?”

Artemis smiled. “Wife? Who’s my wife? Rhonda? I’m sorry, but I’m not her husband. Her husband is just a beggar who shares the same name as me.”

“You…” Cadence looked at him in astonishment, and his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets. He then suddenly burst out laughing when something crossed his mind.

“It turns out that everything was under your control all along. We were nothing but clowns to amuse you! Haha! You weren’t the one being played for a fool but me! It was me!”

Artemis sneered and ignored him. Cadence’s fate was sealed from the moment he poisoned Artemis’ children.

Turning around, he swept Bailey into his arms and walked straight toward the door.

Bailey did not struggle but wrapped her arms around his neck. “I know that it’s easy for you to kill him, but what happens after you do so? Have you thought about how to explain it to the outside world?”

Artemis looked down at her and asked an unrelated question, “Did you seduce him before I came?”

Uh… Should I admit to it? If I do, this man is going to swallow me alive!

Seeing that she did not answer his question, Artemis snorted coldly and strode out of the warehouse.

“Ken, handle this cleanly. Kill the man in there, then send his body to the police station and explain the situation to Mr. Chestway.”

“Noted, Mr. Luther.”

Micah narrowed his eyes and watched as Artemis left the factory with Bailey in his arms. A complicated expression appeared on his face.

Hypnosis. This woman knows how to hypnotize people. I still remember the top assassins I sent to guard Shannon back then were also hypnotized, which is how they lost her in the end. It seems that this woman is somehow connected to Shannon.

Noticing that Micah was staring at the two of them leaving and was in a daze, Sylvester poked his arm. “Hey, Micah! What are you looking at? Please don’t tell me that you have a crush on Bailey! You can’t do that because Ratemis is going to kill you! I don’t want to see the two of you turn against each other.”

Micah was speechless.

When they returned to the medical base, both Bailey and Artemis did not tell the truth. They took a bottle of ordinary medicine to use as the “antidote” and injected it into the two children.

In one of the rooms in the Luther residence, Felicity leaned against the headboard with a sullen face.

Rhonda sat beside her and comforted her with a soft voice, “Mrs. Luther, please don’t worry. Artemis asked Caridee and me to bring you back here because he was worried that your body couldn’t take it. Don’t think too much. The Luther family is blessed by God. The kids will definitely be fine.”

As soon as she finished her words, the door was pushed open, and Caridee rushed in with a look of surprise. “Mom, good news! Dad called just now, saying that Artemis and Bailey got the antidote from Cadence. Zayron and Susan are out of danger now!”
