“Shut up!” Felicity shouted angrily with a gloomy look on her face.

If looks could kill, Rhonda would probably have died ten times over in that very instant.

Honestly, just how stupid can this woman get? She finally gets Artemis to agree to marry her, and this is what happens? By screwing another man, she has screwed up what could’ve been the grandest wedding ever! Even if they didn’t technically do the deed, her being seen with another man is more than enough to destroy the Luther family’s reputation!

Felicity’s outburst snapped Rhonda out of her daze. “S-Someone set me up, Mrs. Luther! Please, you have to help me!”

Felicity was about to lecture her when the door to the dressing room opened once again. This time, it was Artemis who entered the room.

Upon seeing him, Rhonda got so emotional that she broke out of Beatrice’s embrace and threw herself at him on the spot.

“Someone tried to set me up, Artemis! They’re jealous of me, so they’re trying to ruin my reputation like this! Please don’t cancel the wedding, okay?”

Just then, Ken appeared from behind Artemis and stopped Rhonda in her tracks. With a smile, he uttered, “Mr. Luther needs to deal with the guests and journalists outside. Please refrain from disturbing him, Ms. Rhonda.”

“D-Deal with the guests?” Rhonda stared at Artemis in shock and sobbed, “Are you really going to

cancel the wedding, Artemis? I’ve been waiting so long for this day! I’ll become the laughingstock of Hallsbay if you cancel it now!”

Flashing her a sarcastic smile, Artemis asked with an eyebrow arched, “You still want to continue the wedding after what has happened?”

He then shifted his gaze toward Clarence, adding, “That’s fine by me, but I’m not sure if your family can handle what comes next and the change of events that follows.”

Clarence felt a shiver down his spine as he felt the rage in Artemis’ eyes.

My instincts tell me he’s giving me a warning. He’s telling me that this wedding must end or something worse will happen!

Rhonda tried to break free of Ken’s grip as she pleaded with Artemis, “I’m not afraid of what others will say! I want to marry you, Artemis! Let’s carry on with the wedding—”

Clarence cut her off, “Given everything that has happened, we have no choice but to cancel the wedding today. Let’s discuss how we will explain this to the guests and journalists outside.”

“Dad!” Rhonda turned around and glared at him in disbelief. “W-Why would you agree with canceling the wedding, too? H-Have you gone senile or something?”

The look on Clarence’s face turned gloomy when he heard that.

He then turned toward Beatrice and stated coldly, “It seems our daughter is in so much shock that she

can’t even speak properly. Maybe you should take her to the side and calm her down.”

At his words, Beatrice slowly got up from the couch and walked up to Rhonda.

“Come on, Ronni. Let’s go rest in the room next door,” she ordered with a stern expression.

“No! This is my only chance at marrying into the Luther family! I won’t be able to marry into another wealthy family if I let this opportunity slip away! Don’t try and stop me! I will make an enemy out of those who do!” Rhonda protested while resisting with all of her might.

Since she refused to comply after being asked nicely, Beatrice decided to use force instead.

“Ken, please help me drag her out of here,” she said while grabbing Rhonda by the arm. Just like that, the two of them hauled her out of the dressing room.

Gerald waited until they were gone before asking, “How do you plan on dealing with this matter?”

“The wedding was being streamed online, so everyone already knows what happened. Therefore, we can forget about cleaning up the mess and just announce the cancellation to the guests,” Artemis replied.

“What?”

Felicity stared at Artemis with her face pale. Her voice trembled as she asked, “E-Everyone out there has found out about Rhonda having an affair at her own wedding? Does that mean our family’s reputation is ruined?”

Shooting her a glance, Artemis remarked casually, “You were the one who arranged for the wedding to be streamed live, so it’s only natural that everyone out there knows what happened.”

That was his way of saying she brought it upon herself.

The sudden realization shocked Felicity so much that she fainted on the spot again.

Artemis turned toward Gerald and Clarence, instructing, “You two will have to apologize to the guests. Tell them we aren’t able to proceed with the wedding because Rhonda is emotionally unstable.”

Nodding, Gerald got up from the couch. “All right, you can leave the guests to us. Go find out who drugged Rhonda and ruined the wedding.”

“Okay.”

Meanwhile, Zeke dragged Zoey to a lounge outside the event hall and brought her into one of its rooms.

“Is this another one of your doings?” he asked with a stern expression while shoving her violently onto the couch.

“What are you talking about, Zeke? I heard—”

Zeke glared coldly at her as he cut her off, “Don’t give me that crap! I’m no fool, Zoey. Did you really think I wouldn’t know about you using our family’s connections for this sort of thing? Have you forgotten that I’m currently in charge of the Shurmer family?”

Zoey staggered to her feet and looked into Zeke’s rage-filled eyes as she protested defiantly, “You should know what I want better than anyone else out there, Zeke. I’ve been holding it in for seven years thinking Rhonda would eventually receive divine retribution or something, but I was wrong. Do you have any idea how I felt when I found out Artemis was going to marry her? I wanted nothing more than to come back to Hallsbay and kill her with my own hands!”

Zeke’s eyelid twitched slightly. “Oh, you think you’re really tough, huh? Well, guess what? Artemis is going to investigate this matter himself, so you’d better make sure you cover your tracks well!”

Zoey went pale the moment she heard that.

Instinctively, she reached out to grab the hem of Zeke’s shirt. “You’ll help me out, right, Zeke?”

Their conversation was interrupted when Waverly came in through the door. “Oh, he’ll help you. You’re his one and only sister, so it only makes sense for him to help you out!”

Furrowing his brows, Zeke stared at his mother in displeasure.

“She’ll get out of control if you keep spoiling her like this.”

Waverly let out a soft chuckle. “What else am I supposed to do? Present her before the guests and tell them she’s the one who drugged the bride?”

Zeke was stumped for words.

“Go clean up your sister’s mess, Zeke. I don’t want anyone to find out that she did this. Is that understood?” Waverly continued while waving at him.

Hearing that, Zoey broke into a gleeful grin.

Ha! That’s right! I’m the Shurmer family’s most precious princess! Mother will protect me no matter what I do!
