Felicity glared at her daughter. “What do you mean by that? Are you planning to wear the gown she designed? I’m telling you, that’s impossible. I won’t allow you to wear the gown that b*tch designed. It’ll only be an embarrassment and bring more trouble!”

Caridee was used to having everything going her way, so she wasn’t going to respect her mother’s decision like her brothers.

When she heard her mother’s rejection, she harrumphed. “Hmph! That gown is designed for me to wear, so why would it bring trouble to you? I don’t care. I want to wear that gown. Otherwise, I’m not going to the coming-of-age ceremony. If I regret it in the future, it’ll be all your fault.”

Felicity was furious upon hearing that.

She didn’t want to hear anything about Bailey at all, yet her usually most obedient child was arguing with her because of Bailey. Of course, that ticked her off. “You… Are you being rebellious right now? How dare you talk back to me! Have you forgotten all the manners you learned over the years?”

Caridee retorted, “Hmph! You talked back to Granddad too, so much so that he fainted. Does that mean you have also forgotten your manners?”

The older woman tried to suppress her anger, but she failed in the end. She shook off her daughter’s arm that was wrapped around hers forcefully and scolded, “I’ll say it again. I forbid you from wearing the gown that woman designed for your coming-of-age ceremony! If you still see me as your mother, you’ll drop this matter and stop talking about her!”

Caridee pouted and choked out, “Mom, I had to kneel in front of Bailey to obtain the right to use the

design. Please don’t—”

“What?” Felicity exclaimed. Disbelief was written all over her face. “You kneeled in front of that woman for that garbage blueprint? You’re the princess of the Luther family, Caridee Luther! How could a noblewoman like you be so shameless as to kneel in front of an infamous b*tch?”

Then she pointed outside the window. “Go and kneel before your ancestors right now! You don’t get to stand up until I say so. Is that clear?”

The teenager blinked as tears burst from her eyes. After staring at her mother stubbornly for a few moments, she lifted her dress and exited the infirmary.

Felicity’s hands curled into fists as she watched her daughter run out in tears. This is all because of that woman, Bailey! She’s the reason both the Luther family and the Chivers family are in a mess right now! One day, I’ll chase her out of this city.

The next morning, Bailey, who had been staying in her home for four days, finally went out.

She arrived at Luther Group’s headquarters in a high-profile manner.

When she entered the lobby, she noticed that the way the employees looked at her had changed.

“Good morning, Ms. Jefferson.”

“Good morning, Ms. Snowflake.”

“Good morning, Ms. Jefferson.”

“Good morning, Ms. Snowflake.”

Bailey simply smiled at them and walked into the elevator.

There were a ton of people standing in front of all eight elevators, likely because it was rush hour at that moment.

Her gaze landed on the sign “For Ordinary Employees” and then on the sign “For High-Ranking Employees.”

The elevator with the latter sign had significantly fewer people in front of it.

She assumed she was considered a high-ranking official of the company since she was currently the lead designer of Luther Group’s headquarters.

When she arrived in front of that elevator, she heard a mocking laugh.

“Don’t you know there’s a saying that it’s always better to be self-aware? You haven’t even gotten Mr. Luther’s appointment letter yet, so why do you think you’re a high-ranking official? Are you getting arrogant because people now regard you as a master designer?”

From the first word alone, Bailey could tell whose voice it was.

It was Jessica.

Despite being made a fool in the past, she still hadn’t learned to hold back.

Eve probably had no choice but to accept a disciple like her because Jessica’s family was supposedly quite famous and powerful in Epea.

Jessica was beautiful, and her family background was solid, but she was just a pretty face. The only good thing about her was her appearance.

Even after learning under Eve for a few years, she didn’t learn a ten-thousandth of what Eve had taught her.

Bailey slowly turned around and smiled at Jessica. “Ah, it’s you, my dear junior. I didn’t prepare a gift for you the last time you greeted me. How about you greet me again? I promise I’ll give you a big monetary gift.”

Jessica’s face contorted. Junior? I can’t believe I need to refer to this woman as my senior! No way!

“I’m not your junior, Bailey. Don’t get too arrogant. It’s not good for your skin,” she spat.

Bailey pretended to feel sorry. “You’re not my junior anymore? So Eve kicked you out. What a shame.”

“You!” Of course, Jessica wasn’t going to take that insult lying down. She instantly exploded in anger as she stepped forward to pick a fight.

However, Bailey had no interest in playing with her. Even if she won against Jessica, she wouldn’t feel accomplished because it would be too easy.

“If you don’t want to get slapped in public, I suggest you stay the hell away! Otherwise, I don’t mind teaching you a lesson on behalf of your master! In the past, if I hit you, you could still report me to the police for assault. But things are different now. If I slap you, it’ll just be considered a teaching of a senior to a junior! The police will have no right to get involved, and all you can do is swallow your anger.”

Jessica halted abruptly and glared at her viciously, wishing she could turn her enemy into dust.

Having been stared at like that a lot recently, Bailey had become immune to it.

“There, there, junior. If your master didn’t kick you out, then you’d better remember to call me Master Bailey in the future. As a disciple, you should know the first rule which is to respect your elders.”

Jessica closed her eyes as she suppressed the boiling rage in her heart.

While those words didn’t wound her greatly, it was enough to disgust her.

Whenever she thought about calling Bailey her senior, she wanted to stab her.

There was nothing else in the world that was more disgusting to her than doing that.

Right then, a commotion was heard at the entrance.

A slender figure entered the building while being surrounded by a few bodyguards in black.

“Good morning, Mr. Luther.”

“Good morning, Mr. Luther.”

Greetings could be heard from the lobby.

Bailey narrowed her eyes at the familiar figure approaching her. He was walking toward her with the

sun behind him, so from her angle, she could only barely make out his facial features.

The image was blurry, yet brilliant.

“Good morning, Ms. Jefferson,” Artemis greeted.

“What?” Bailey returned to her senses. She was still a little dazed as she stared at the man.

“G-Good morning, Mr. Luther.”

Artemis smiled. So, this woman ogles at men, too. I’m glad God gave me a face that can charm women.

“Come, ride the CEO’s private elevator with me. From now on, you don’t need to wait around to board the other elevators anymore. Just use mine.”
