- SPOILED GIRL, VOLUME 2
- Season 11 Episode 42 - (Coming into unavoidable confrontation)
Emily was very beautiful, but Jacob did not know how to appreciate her.
Louis smiled, a beautiful arc forming in the corner of his mouth, while the smile extended to his deep blue eyes. He took off his coat in a very gentlemanly way and gently put it around Emily. Then, he put his hands in his pockets and gave Emily a grim smile again.
Emily seldom saw Louis behave in such a childlike way. Generally, he tended to be very serious. Therefore, trying to stop herself from laughing out loud, she nodded her head and smiled while she appreciatively put her hand on his coat.
“You two…”
Hunk had already gone downstairs, but when he did not hear their voices behind him for a long while, he turned around doubtfully. Only then did he see them getting on so well with each other. When he’d dotingly called them to follow him downstairs, he’d found no response because his son and daughter were busy with their own moment. However, when Hunk turned around, he was very happy. His son and daughter were his most precious treasures in the world.
Ever since Emily had come back from Tyrone Mansion, she had seldom smiled. Today, Hunk finally saw her smile. For a while, his eyes burned with a misty relief.
He swore to himself that he would draw a clear line to oppose Jacob.
His loving daughter should enjoy happiness all the time.
Along the way, Emily seemed to be in a good mood, probably because of what Louis had been doing since the beginning. She talked and laughed with Louis the whole time, and her thin face was soon bubbling with laughter, which made her look quite lovely.
The car quietly drew up at the entrance of the banquet hall. For a while, Emily wondered about how to get out, because her skirt was dragging on the ground, and, unsure of what to do, she lowered her head in embarrassment. Louis, who was the first to get out of the car, helped Emily and calmly raised the hem of her skirt to a proper height so that she could walk around freely without dragging her dress on the ground or undergoing an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
“Thank you, Brother!”
Emily winked at Louis. She basked under his soft eyes and immediately felt confident. She stood up straight and walked into the venue step by step.
None of the three saw a black Bentley pull up behind their car.
Jacob saw the familiar back of the woman step out of the car in front of him and he pursed his thin lips.
It took a long time for Jacob to return to reality. Holding Michelle in his arm, he finally stepped out of the Bentley with an indifferent face. His dark, deep eyes were like a tender night. Although he and Michelle were close to each other and they were considered an item, to others, there wasn’t any sense of intimacy between them. On the contrary, their relationship seemed rather strained.
“Isn’t that Emily?”
Michelle did not seem to notice Jacob’s indifference. Instead, she nestled possessively in his arms, with her delicate lips curving on her face. She nodded gently to the people around them with a sense of arrogance arising in her heart.
Unexpectedly seeing her love rival ahead of them, Michelle raised her eyebrows and scoffed with an indelicate snort. She ridiculed, “It really is a good dress. She must be afraid that not everybody will know that it’s their party.”
It had to be admitted that Emily’s dress was truly stunning. She had always been delicate and innocent, but now, melancholy and loneliness emanated from her body because of Jacob. Her eyes seemed to shine like liquid all the time, emitting an enchanting blue light.
The sadness and desolation that her broken heart had wrapped around her seemed to make others feel tender and protective toward her.
This kind of vulnerable temperament was something that Michelle could never understand. Now that the eyes of everyone at the party were attracted to Emily, Michelle became decidedly jealous.
“Um…”
Jacob suddenly heard Emily’s name in his ear. He felt an uncontrollable tremor strike through his heart. He had just seen her, but subconsciously, he started staring at her from where Michelle and he stood. His eyes were locked on her back, and there were waves of emotions rolling in his clear eyes.
While he watched her, his heart never calmed.
Before Emily had left, she had said that he had won, and she had agreed to let him go. However, at the first sight of Emily, Jacob knew that she had won everything.
She was responsible for the heist of his life.
“Jacob?”
After complaining to herself for a moment, Michelle walked forward, intending to compete with Emily. She wanted to catch up with Emily so that she could walk next to her, side by side.
However, Jacob didn’t move at all. He just lowered his eyes sadly and watched Emily’s back with a quiet passion. It was something that Michelle had never seen him do before.

Jacob’s true feelings were laid bare.
At that moment, Michelle became so angry that she almost snapped her own teeth as she clenched her jaw tightly. Her fists clenched, and her red fingernails were now deeply embedded into her palm, drawing blood. Trying to keep the smile on her face steady, she looked up at Jacob and shouted, “What are you thinking? The party is about to begin.”
‘EMILY! EMILY!
Always that goddamn woman!’ she seethed on the inside.
“Oh, sure.”
Coming back to himself, Jacob glanced negligently at her, with his attention recovered somewhat again. He responded with a tone of indifference and continued to lead Michelle to the hall.
By this point, Michelle no longer had the arrogance that she had had at the beginning. Instead, she continued gnashing her teeth.
She secretly made up her mind that she would find a way to embarrass Emily later at the party.
Walking in front of them, Emily was unaware of what Michelle was up to. She just sat on the seat according to Louis’s guidance and looked around with some of her innocent curiosity. Sometimes, she talked with Louis in a low voice about the auction for a while.
Suddenly…
Emily’s body instantly became stiff, and she lowered her eyes, and curled the corners of her mouth downward even though she had been laughing with Louis only moments before.
The little blood that her small face had held almost disappeared in a single moment.
“What’s wrong?”
Louis’ keen senses detected something wrong with her, and he thoughtfully inquired her despite knowing what the problem was.
“Emily? You are here, too?”
With her hands wrapped around Jacob’s arm, Michelle came over proudly, puckering her red lips while flashing a profound look at Emily and speaking in an exaggerated tone. She sneered, “Are you alone today, without a male companion?”
“I…”
Because Emily was still overwhelmed by seeing Jacob, she didn’t reply swiftly.
Michelle then spat out a curse and sneered at Emily. Pretending to suddenly remember, Michelle raised her hand to cover her lips and said, “Oh, I forgot, you have been kicked out of the house by Jacob, so it’s understandable that you don’t have a boyfriend at the moment.”
All the people witnessing the scene exchanged glances.
Emily’s face turned a pallid white for a moment, and she did not say anything for a long time.
But Jacob merely stood there quietly, looking off to one side casually, as if he had nothing to do with these matters at all.
How ironic.
The person Emily had loved the most since the beginning was standing in front of her like a complete stranger now.
Even worse than strangers, for Jacob was far crueler than a stranger. He had been using one blade after another to insert his insults into her heart, until she was broken into bloody pieces.
“Well, Miss He, are you blind? So you can’t see me?”
Louis was sitting to one side, and his deep blue eyes twinkled like blue crystals. His body felt chilled and cold as his eyes narrowed. He stepped forward to block off Emily’s path, looking at Michelle with a crafty smile and a strong tone of danger.
