SPOILED GIRL, VOLUME 2 - Season 10 Episode 13

“Nora, you are still here!”

Rita said with no expression showing on her white face. She had known that Nora would be here, but seeing her in person left Rita feeling very uncomfortable. Even though she’d tried to assure herself that David had only let Nora stay due to his guilt, at this moment, her heart felt like it had been run through by a thousand pins.

“Yes, I’m still here. Aren’t you glad to see me?” Nora smiled gracefully, as if she was the mistress of the house.

Every day until now, Nora had waited downstairs. Since she was not allowed by David anywhere near the second floor, she had hoped for a chance to see Rita in the common areas of the house.

“When you grow melons, you will gain melons as a reward.” Just like this saying, with David not being home tonight, Nora had finally caught Rita, the bitch!

“Yes, I’m so glad to see you!” Rita said graciously, suppressing the emotions that burned at the bottom of her heart as she looked at Nora while forcing a light smile.

Nora had been waiting for her, but she had been waiting for Nora as well. “Why you are so happy?” Nora had pretended to be elegant and proud, but when she heard what Rita said, her pretence vanished and she once again stared at Rita with a pair of arrogant brown eyes.

The more indifferent Rita was, the more nervous Nora became. Considering that she was not welcomed by David, if she made Rita angry, she would certainly be kicked out of the house in minutes.

At first, Nora had just wanted to test Rita’s attitude, but she had never thought that Rita would be so calm.

“I know that you have been waiting for me these past few days. The reason why I did not appear was just because I did not want to see you.”

Rita looked at Nora with a perfectly straight face as she spoke. Nora felt her heart beating faster because she couldn’t understand how Rita could still be so calm despite everything that Nora had done to draw her attention. Surely, Rita should have felt provoked by now. But Nora couldn’t understand how, now that she had reached her goal of drawing Rita’s attention, she still felt suddenly panicked.

“You! You bitch!” Nora raised her hands and tried to slap Rita.

But Rita grabbed Nora’s slender wrists and fixed her burning eyes upon her, as if she wanted to burn a hole right through her.

“Tell me, how much do you know about my sister?”

Rita had no patience left after days of tolerating Nora in her home. Yet, Michelle’s disappearance was like a thorn in her heart and she wanted to know what had happened. However, David had consciously avoided telling her anything about Michelle after Nora had initially spoken of her.

For this reason, Rita had gotten more suspicious and worried. With time passing, she found it harder and harder to control herself.

Rita was worried that she would go crazy if she could not find out the answer.

Nora was nervous at first, but when she heard what Rita wanted, she immediately smiled in satisfaction. Then, Nora looked at Rita and said sarcastically, “Beg me and I’ll tell you!”

She had originally thought that Rita’s only weakness was Dylan, but now she knew that Rita had another weakness⁠—Michelle. With each weakness that Nora could exploit, she drew closer and closer to her ultimate goal.

Without realizing it, Rita gripped Nora harder and harder. There was a terrifying firmness and vengeful hatred in Rita’s eyes, and she seemed like she was about to lose control and snap.

The pain contorted Nora’s face. Her fiercely white face took on a look of pain. She even shouted unwillingly, “Rita, you are crazy. Let go of me!”

She shouted aloud, hoping that the servants would wake up and come to see what a wicked woman their Lady was. Everything that Nora did was to show Rita off in a bad light.

But things didn’t work out as she had hoped. David had already installed a camera after what had happened last time. He was late in returning home this time and it had given Nora an opportunity.

But the servants had been told not to appear unless they heard Rita scream for help.

“Tell me, what else do you know?” Rita’s brain was strung tight, and all her concern was now for her beloved sister, Michelle. She would get the truth, one way or another.

She had worked so hard to look for her sister over so many years. Once, she had found a chance to locate Michelle, but she had been blocked in her efforts by the people who had taken her. She was unwilling to lose the chance this time, so she came to see Nora in spite of the danger.

Rita felt as if there was a hoarse voice in her heart shouting, “Choke her to death! Kill her. It’s she who took Michelle away!” Alhough Rita tried to ignore this voice of vengeance, she still heard its dark call.

“All your pain has been because of her. It’s she who’s been ruining your life. It’s she who should be blamed!”

Rita felt her vision gradually blur. As she stared at Nora, she found Nora’s appearance changing until finally, her face became that of the peddler who always appeared in her dreams.

‘That’s him! It’s him!’

Rita stretched out her hands and began to strangle Nora’s neck with harshly tightening hands. “Where on earth are you hiding Michelle? Give her back to me! Give her back to me!” she demanded sharply.

Nora felt the air in her lungs becoming thinner and thinner. Her face turned pale and she struggled to squeeze out an answer. “I have told you all I know. Don’t ask me anything more!”

Since Darren had only told her so much, even if Rita strangled her, Nora could not tell Rita even one more word about Michelle.

“You liar! Tell me where Michelle is!”

Nora’s words had no doubt been the last straw that had broken Rita. Her eyes turned red and she strengthened her fingers brutally as she continued choking Nora. The fierceness in her expression made her look like Asura had come up from hell! She would happily squeeze the life out of Nora, this fiendish woman who had been her nemesis for such a long time.

David was shocked when he saw what was happening via the monitor. He had never considered that Michelle’s disappearance would have made such a huge impact on Rita. He quickly waved his hand, and beckoned the servant to go pull them apart.

The servants took action quickly and, entering the room, pulled Rita and Nora away from each other.

“Rita, why were you strangling me? You almost killed me. Do you really want me to die?”

Seeing that there were people around, tears flowed down Nora’s ghastly pale face. She lay weakly in the arms of a servant, as if she was about to faint at any second now. Already bruises were forming around Nora’s neck and her voice was hoarse from the pressure which had been applied to her larynx.

Rita looked at Nora indifferently, but in fact, she was just as flustered in her mind… ‘I really just lost my mind and nearly strangled Nora!

Why? What happened to me just now?’ Rita was at a loss to explain her actions, and her mind tried to puzzle out what had happened. Then, looking at her white knuckles and panting for breath, her vision blurred and she immediately blacked out.

Before fainting, she saw a familiar figure running toward her. But she could not see him clearly. She was only aware of the familiar scent of his body as he caught her and held her peacefully.

David had been at the nearby villa and he had noticed Rita’s abnormal behavior through the monitor. He had rushed over, and when he entered the house, he was just in time to see Rita falling down.

“Rita! Rita!” The villa echoed with David’s worried voice.

When Nora saw David holding Rita before he quickly carried her away, Nora’s eyes turned red with jealousy and hatred.

‘It’s me who was nearly killed and I am obviously the victim! So why does David only care about that wicked woman?’

Nora thought in anguish as she saw the couple together.

“Miss, let me take you back to your room.” Ariel had taken advantage of the chaos and had approached Nora’s side, where she spoke to her in low murmurs.
Nora opened her mouth to say something, but at last, she gave up and followed Ariel and several other servants to her room.

Meanwhile, at the Xu Family’s house.

The man in the wheelchair played languidly with the glass in his hand, watching the scarlet liquid swirl inside it as his thin lips curled up in an eerie smile.

“How’s everything going with them?” he asked in a cold voice, and his piercing eyes looked sharply at the man across from him.

“As Master Darren said, Rita has indeed been hallucinating. In addition, Michelle firmly believes that it’s Rita who had abandoned her and she has nurtured a deep grudge against Rita,” the man answered carefully for fear that he would accidentally anger Darren, who was always unpredictable. He knew full well what happened to servants who angered Darren.

“Excellent!”

Darren put down the glass elegantly. His lips curved upwards in a vicious smile. But there was a strange light in his eyes as he gave his order. “Prepare to return home!”
