Alex was feeling quite amused when he picked up and counted the cash that Kate threw at him.

This woman is really something.

Too bad he wasn’t interested in her, or else he could entertain the thought of being with her.

Alex kept the two thousand and watched Kate take a cab at the intersection ahead before leaving in his car.

Instead of heading back to the office immediately, he went for a spa and dinner first.

Panicked, the Hales begged Philip Taylor, the patriarch of the Taylor family, to ask for mercy from Fours Seas Corporation on behalf of them.

For the sake of his daughter, Philip had no choice but to bring Christian, Leo, and the rest to Four Seas Corporation.

In the reception room, Christian and Leo were feeling dejected, especially the former, who was the head of the Hale family.

When he knew that the whole incident was caused by Leo’s attempt to harass the executive, he had to fight the urge to strangle his own son.

After waiting for a long time, neither the chairman nor the Four Seas Corporation’s general manager showed up. Even Philip Taylor didn’t know what to expect next.

“Mr. Jefferson, the three of them are still in the reception room. President Sawyer hasn’t arrived yet. What should we do now?” Jessica asked Alex in his office.

Immersed in his own thoughts, he took a while before replying, “Give Kate a call and see if she’s willing to forgive the Hales.”

Alex decided to consult Kate’s opinion since she was the victim of the incident. He would see to Kate’s demands and make sure she got what she wanted.

Nodding, Jessica took out her phone and called Kate.

“Hello, Ms. Sutton. Mr. Jefferson asks if you are willing to spare the Hales. If you don’t want to, he will make sure that their whole family becomes bankrupt at the end of the day. If you are willing to forgive them, he will get them to call you,” Jessica said when Kate picked up.

“I don’t care if the Hale family goes bankrupt, but Leo Hale has to go to jail!” Kate gritted her teeth.

“I understand, Ms. Sutton. I will tell that to Mr. Jefferson.” Jessica looked at Alex after hanging up.

Given that Jessica put the phone on a loudspeaker, Alex understood Kate clearly.

“Tell the Hales that Leo has to turn himself in, serve for at least three years in jail, and compensate Kate with three hundred million. These are all we ask for. Tell them to beware of our wrath if they do not agree to our conditions.”
