- Season 1 Episode 73 - Having Control Over His Emotions
Inside The Restaurant…
Tracy held onto Lucas’s arm with all her might, as if afraid that Lucas would chase after Heidi. She’d be a fool if she didn’t admit that she knew what was going on.
That filthy girl. She sure knew ways to keep Lucas chasing after her. If Tracy didn’t make Heidi disappear for good, how would she finally have peace of mind?
She gritted her teeth so hard that her jaws ached. Ignoring her stained dress, Tracy tried to coax the enraged man. ” Let’s finish our food, Honey. I- We- Let’s just forget about them”
“I’m not eating anymore.” Lucas’s gaze remained glued to the entrance, his blood boiling inside.
“Alright then, if you won’t eat the food, I’m sure the wine will calm you down-”
“I said I’m not eating!”
His voice startled her. Tracy’s eyes were wide with shock.
Her whole body shook inside from his sudden harsh tone. Holding her forehead, she staggered.
Lucas quickly caught her before she fell down. “What’s wrong? Are you alright?” His tone returned to normal, a deep frown forming on his face.
“How can I be normal when you’re acting this way, Honey?” Looking weak and devastated, tears poured down Tracy’s face. “Can’t you see that Heidi is a cunning woman? How could you let her have control over your emotions?
Unknowingly to everyone, a paparazzi was lurking nearby.
The guy saved the video footage in his phone and snuck out of the restaurant.
That Night, at Crescent Avenue.
Inside Kate’s Villa…
Heidi sat on the couch, hugging her legs close to her chest, her chin resting on her knees.
Kate brought her a glass of warm milk. “Cheer up, Heidi. Drink this and you’ll have a good sleep.”
Heidi had told her that she rarely slept early, but Kate doubted it. Heidi looked more like a person who was experiencing insomnia.
“Thanks, Kate.” Heidi took the glass cup, wrapping all her fingers around it, and letting the warmness sip in.
How could she have a good sleep? The moment she closed her eyes, the image of her and Lucas making out on the couch would flash in her mind.
“Kate,” she murmured. “I will go back to Phoenix City tomorrow. If you’re still contemplating working with StriveStyle Co., please take your time to think about the benefits. Helping to revive such a brand might sound risky, however, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.”
“Why are you rushing to go back? Won’t you spend some more time here?” Kate’s face was cascaded in a silhouette of gloom. “Or is it because you’re afraid that your ex-husband will stalk you again?”
Heidi took a few moments to reply.

“StriveStyle Co, is my priority right now. I can’t remain here while the brand is currently facing difficulties back at home. I should go back and oversee things.”
Kate sighed. “I truly hoped we could have more fun. But we can’t overlook our responsibilities, right? Meeting you again after so many years, it’s as if I’m back in our childhood days. If only it’s possible to reminisce all those past memories.”
“Reminiscing them isn’t as important as engraving those memories in our hearts.” Heidi smiled at her before drinking the milk.
The Next Morning…
At the airport, the bright morning light shone on the huge jet, its crystal color shimmering under the light.
Its engine raved while the flight crew helped transfer the passengers’ luggage.
Inside the plane, Isla sat on a leather chair beside Heidi, her voice full of enthusiasm as she reported, “The staff in the modeling department are set up to receive Ms. Anderson. I have also contacted our social media manager about it. Every other staff at StriveStyle Co. has also been informed already.”
“Great! Tell the social media manager to keep an eye on any fashion brand that reaches out,” Heidi replied while pressing into her phone.
“Are you afraid our company’s inbox will be flooded?” Isla asked.
Staring at her, Heidi laughed softly. ” I’m delighted it will be.”
At the left-side row, Kate settled down with her manager.
“Kate, what is the meaning of this? Working with that brand can have a significant impact on your reputation.
Compared to the benefits you’ll offer them, you’ll get nothing in return apart from risking your fame.”
Her manager looked displeased, staring at her as if she’d gone crazy.
“Hey, stop it, Suzie. I trust Heidi, and I’m sure she’ll do her best to prevent my downfall.”
“In this kind of career, friendship is the last thing you should think about. If you’ll follow my advice, back out of this deal.”
“Suzie, please don’t worry.” Heidi glanced over at them. “I know what is at stake in this matter. I won’t let any harm come to Kate’s career.”
“Guys! Were you planning to leave without me?” Zach came inside, holding hands with a lady. “Heidi, you wanted to leave me stranded in this city, right?”
“Stop speaking as if I didn’t notify you this morning that we’re taking off.” Heidi snickered, returning her attention to her phone.
Zach’s eyes fell on Kate. His pupils dilated, his eyes raking over her body.
“Well, well… Did an angel fall from the sky?”
