- Season 1 Episode 62 - A Sudden Reunion
At GreyHills City’s Airport.
Heidi came down from the plane with Isla by her side. “This place is beautiful,” Isla commented.
Heidi nodded in agreement.
“Princess, sorry I can’t accompany you on your business trip. I’d rather go catch some fun. Goodbye.”
Zach had his own plans, so he made it clear as soon as they arrived. At that moment, a flashy red car parked in front of him, and a slender lady dressed in a black mini-dress came down.
“Long time no see, Mr. Olsen.” She batted her lashes, her lips pulling into a seductive smile.
“Hey, Ruby, you haven’t changed a lot.” Zach winked at her and took the car keys. They soon drove off.
Isla couldn’t close her mouth. “What are we gonna do now, Ms. Olsen? I thought Mr. Olsen would accompany us. As the president of AG Group, his presence might have some impact on the clients.”
Imagine Isla’s joy when Zach joined them on the trip. But now, he was abandoning them for some fun?
“Believe me, you wouldn’t want him to be there.” Heidi shook her head.
They left the airport and stopped a taxi, heading for the outskirts of the city.
“Ms. Olsen,” Isla asked, “How are we going to see Kate Anderson? What if there’s heavy security in the place?”
“Let’s not worry about that. We have to arrive there first.”
Isla nodded, feeling discomfort in her heart. What if something went wrong?
“Relax, Isla.” Heidi sensed her discomfort, and she gave her a warm smile.
“I hope we don’t get into trouble, Ms. Olsen.” Isla sighed.
Strangely, when they arrived at Crescent Avenue after several minutes, there wasn’t anyone in sight.
The Magnificent Villa stood beside other similar-looking Villas in the neighborhood, surrounded by lush grasses and thousands of lily flowers.
Isla’s anxiety instantly went away, seeing no security in the place. Delighted, she said, “Let me knock on the gates.”
“Wait-”
Heidi was too late to stop her. Isla knocked on the gates and several security alarms went off.
The loud sounds blarred in the area, and shortly, the sounds of police sirens approaching echoed as well.
“Ms. Olsen, we’re in trouble.”
“Quick, let’s hide.”
Heidi took Isla’s hand and they ran down a bushy path, hiding behind a small hill.
“What do we do now, Ms. Olsen?” Isla was literally shaking.
Heidi whispered while peeking through the grasses, “These policemen look stern. I heard the authorities here are more strict than the ones in Phoenix City.”
“Isn’t this city notorious for having the most number of thugs? Ms. Olsen, if they catch us, they’ll think we’re criminals.”
“They won’t catch you guys if you stay hidden for a while.” A lazy voice came from their side, startling them.
Leaning against a rock and munching on some snacks was a beautiful young lady dressed in sportswear.
Heidi and Isla blinked in astonishment, staring at her in a daze.
“Hey, don’t give me that look.” Kate rolled her eyes. “A girl can do what she likes, right?”
Looking speechless, Heidi stuttered, ” What are you doing here?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Kate showed her the big snack bag. “I’m also hiding from my manager.” She shrugged.
Heidi and Isla looked at each other.
“Let me guess… you’re here to see me.” Kate looked up. “And you’re also from Phoenix City.”
“How did you know?”
“Let me finish speaking, Heidi. I’m cautious about people who want an appointment with me. When you persisted, I looked into it and found out it’s a particular stubborn girl who loved bullying me.”
A look of disbelief flashed in Heidi’s eyes before she laughed. “You have a great memory. I thought you’d no longer recognize me.”

“Why not? You bullied me and gave me a bag of snacks. That’s a peculiar history that can’t be forgotten.”
“Ms. Olsen, you know each other?” Isla couldn’t wrap her head around what was going on.
Kate replied, “Of course. Heidi and I were sworn sisters before fate drew us apart.”
“Ah, really?” Isla exclaimed, looking as if she wanted to faint. It’s no wonder her boss always acted strangely whenever she mentioned Kate.
“Keep it down.” Kate shushed her and then sneaked a look at the Villa’s gates.
An older lady, who was her manager, could be seen conversing with the policemen. After a while, the policemen left, and her manager took her car and left as well.
“Where is she going?” Heidi couldn’t help but ask, guessing who the woman was.
“She will turn down all the bars and five -star restaurants to search for me,” Kate replied simply.
Then she stood up and dusted off her pants.
A tall lady with outstanding figures, there was no doubt Kate had spent a great deal of time at the gym.
“Welcome to my lonely haven!” Kate took them inside the Villa.
They stepped into the wide living room and she ordered a maid to bring them some juice.
Heidi and Isla made themselves comfortable on the couch while Kate walked inside and returned a few minutes later wearing different clothes.
Bringing out her phone, Kate dialed a number.
“Hey, Steve. Your assumption is correct. Heidi’s really here.”
“Oh, really?” A smooth male voice came from the other end. “Then you owe me some cash.”
“Aren’t you cruel, Bro?” Kate whined.
“Not when it comes to betting. Send my regards to Heidi, I’ll come down to the Villa later.”
Heidi blinked in shock. “Steve? Your brother? He’s alive?”
“What do you think?” Kate chuckled. ” That the whole of Andersons just vanished into thin air?”
“Well you disappeared all of a sudden, no one knew where you went.” That happened many years ago, and Heidi would never forget that incident.
Kate balled her fists, her expression changing. “Wasn’t it those hypocritical socialites? They framed my Dad, stripped him of his properties, and declared our whole family corrupt.”
“Wait, you’re from the legendary Anderson Family?” Isla couldn’t help but butt in the conversation.
Many years ago, a powerful family lost its glory in the socialites’ circle. Then they disappeared. No one knew what happened to them.
As if reading Isla’s thoughts, Kate replied, “My family isn’t at fault, okay? There were conspiracies on the ground. Everyone turned their backs on us, including our closest allies.”
Hearing her say that, Heidi lowered her head in guilt.
“Your uncle was the AG Group’s president then. He was so powerful that he could clear my father’s name. Why didn’t he?”
“I have no explanation for that, Kate,” Heidi explained softly. “I don’t know why he didn’t help your Dad.”
“Well, it’s in the past.” Kate shrugged. “I know you wouldn’t turn your back on me, after all, we were besties. Do you blame me for leaving without saying goodbye?”
Like always, Kate’s moods fluctuate faster than the wind.
Her stern expression was gone, and she looked like a lost puppy.
“I don’t blame you, Kate.” Heidi sighed. “I only felt guilty for not having the power to help out.”
Kate hugged her and laughed. “We were just kids. Of course, you wouldn’t have the power.” She paused and stared at Heidi. “Then we’ll still be best friends, right? Tell me you didn’t get any BFF behind my back.”
“Oh, how could I?”
Heidi was telling the truth. Only a few years later, Lucas came into her life.
Other girls hung out with their mates, but she stalked a particular guy year in, year out.
“Great!” Kate clapped her hands, her eyes shining with joy. “Then we must celebrate our reunion. I know a very good bar downtown. Girls, we must have fun tonight!”
