SEVEN YEARS WITHOUT YOU - SEASON 41 EPISODE 100
Inside the doctor’s office
“Doctor Zhao, how is my wife doing?”
“President Qin, we are taking extra precaution because Commander Su arranged for her stay. Your wife is doing fine right now, but she’s weak because of the induced labor. The only thing I’m worried about is her mental health. I’m sure her miscarriage is taking a toll on your entire family. I suggest therapy.”
“I know. What about the fetus?” Qin Chu forced himself to ask this question calmly, despite the hurricane causing havoc through his body.
“That’s your decision. If you would like to take care of him, then he’s all yours. Otherwise, the hospital can do it for you.”
“I’ll take him.”
“Okay then, President Qin. I think your wife can be discharged after resting up for a day or two. You can either take her home or transfer her to a recuperation center in your city. At least you’ll both be in a familiar environment.”
“Okay.”
After Qin Chu’s brief conversation with the doctor, he went back to Huo Mian’s room to see her eyes red and puffy.
“Honey… I want to leave. I want to go home.”
“Mhm, we’ll leave tomorrow. We’ll go home in a private plane. Su Yu’s being discharged tomorrow as well, so we’ll go home together.”
“Honey, what about our baby?” Huo Mian asked tearily.
“I’ve arranged for him to be buried here, so mom and dad don’t feel so bad.”
“Okay.” Huo Mian nodded. She reached out her arms to embrace Qin Chu, but the latter stood up to leave, leaving her arms hanging in midair.
“Mian, do you want porridge or warm milk?”
“Warm milk.”

“Okay.” Qin Chu nodded. There wasn’t a microwave in the room, so he boiled some hot water he could use to warm up the milk.

“Honey, do you remember how you used to take care of me like this back in school, whenever I got my period? You used to skip class to get me something warm to drink, once you were even caught by the headmaster.”
“I do,” Qin Chu muttered a short response.
“I really miss those times, why do we have to grow up? The years I spent with you at Second High were the happiest years of my life. I miss enjoying Ah-Xin’s Ramen with you, and I miss being carefree.”
“I do too,” Qin Chu said gently before turning around with a glass of warm milk and handing it to Huo Mian.
The latter took the milk, hesitated for a brief second, and began to slowly sip it.
Meanwhile, Qiao Fei was trying and failing to get in touch with Professor Lu. It wasn’t a big surprise, however, because Professor Lu had always been hard to contact.
Feeling depressed, Qiao Fei and his men went into a nearby bar and sat down in one of the booths.
“Young Master, what would you like to drink?”
“I don’t care,” Qiao Fei shrugged. He was in a crappy mood – Lu Yan had gone missing, leaving nothing but a giant puddle of blood behind. He wasn’t trying to be pessimistic, but she might not even be alive right now.
Qiao Fei was a good-looking man with a head of silver hair. Naturally, people of all genders came up to hit on him as soon as he sat down, and Qiao Fei’s men had to block them off one by one.
Just then, a woman with long curly hair and little clothing covering her body walked up to Qiao Fei with a smile. His men stopped her before she could come into close contact, but she smiled coyishly at him. “Mr. Handsome, want to buy me a drink?”
“F*ck off.”
“Trust me, you’ll regret it if I f*ck off. You’re looking for someone, aren’t you?” the woman asked with a smile.
Upon hearing this, Qiao Fei’s eyes shot up to the woman’s face with an icy glare.
