“You’re here to visit me? What a joke! Are you here to see how poorly I’ve been living? Well, all thanks to you, I’ve been living the dream. I never have to worry about my children being suppressed by anyone. They never have to live in fear of someone taking things away and leaving them with nothing. My daughter is working and supporting herself, and my son is now in university. The three of us are as happy as a button, so, Celebrity Shen, why don’t you go back to where you came from? There’s no room here for you.”

“Hey, watch your tone when you speak to my mother, you old hag!”

Just look at the place you’re living in right now. Not only is it far from downtown, but its environment is also terrible as well. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, how can anyone live here? Oh, and your son, isn’t he eighteen or nineteen now? He will eventually marry a girl, and you can’t possibly give this old piece of crap house to your future daughter-in law, can you? “You…” Shen Jiani would never think Yang Meirong had already figured everything out.

Yang Meirong’s chest heaved up and down as she got more and more worked up. Before she had the time to process her emotions, she picked up a bucket of laundry water, and with a forward swinging motion, soaked Shen Jiani and Huo Yanyan.

“Holy sh*t! What the hell do you think you’re doing, you crazy woman!”

“Get the hell out of here before I call the cops on you guys for trespassing!”

“I’m going to beat the shit out of you!” screamed Huo Yanyan as she walked up to Yang Meirong.

“Yanyan! We need to go, there’s no point in wasting any more time.” It was clear that she wasn’t getting what she came for. It was difficult, but unlike Huo Yanyan, Shen Jiani kept her cool. Drops of water fell to the ground from her blouse; she had already been embarrassed enough. Unwillingly, she dragged Huo Yanyan out the door.

Shen Jiani was feeling rather good about herself prior to executing her plans. However, both of her plans turned out otherwise. Oh, how cruel reality can sometimes be to those who thought themselves as clever. As she walked out of the courtyard, the last piece of strength that was holding her together finally snapped. She pulled out her phone and dialed Huo Zhenghai’s number. The moment the voice on the other side answered, she bawled as the details of the incident poured out like the tears streaming down her face.

On the other end of the phone, Huo Zhenghai’s heart ached for his mistress. He comforted her for a while and made an executive decision – he was going to grace those suckers with his very own presence.

“President Su, the Huo Corporation’s Chairman is waiting outside.”

“Huo Zhenghai?” Su Yu said as he leaned on his office chair. Music was blasting through his earphones, and he was bored out of his brains. He was a bit surprised by Huo Zhenghai’s sudden visit since he didn’t think they’ve ever had any business contact.

“Tell him to come in.” Su Yu sat up slightly, pulled down his earphones, and waved his hand.
