“I don’t want it.”

Huo Mian immediately returned the jewelry back to Su Yu, and she moved very quickly without hesitation.

“Why?”

“Because it’s too expensive.”

“I don’t think it’s expensive, just keep it. You’ve taken great care of me at the recuperation center, so just take this gift as my thanks to you.” Su Yu awkwardly made up an excuse.

Huo Mian still shook her head. “I’m an employee at South Side, and I was just doing my job. Thank you, though.”

Then, Huo Mian wrapped her arm around Qin Chu’s. “Honey, let’s go eat.”

“Okay.” Qin Chu nodded, and then the two drove away in the Maybach.

Su Yu stood there unmovingly with the jewelry set in his hands, as he upsettingly watched the two of them leave…

He had never envied anyone his whole life, because he was born with everything anyone could ever want.

However today, he truly envied Qin Chu, because Huo Mian stood beside him and gently smiled at him.

“I told you not to come, you’re paying money to get tortured…” Wei Liao got out of the car and pulled Su Yu into it.

Qin Chu and Huo Mian then drove to a Sichuan-style spicy hot pot restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t big, but there were plenty of people.

Qin Chu wanted to change a place because there weren’t any private rooms inside, but Huo Mian thought that it was too troublesome, so the two sat in the hall of the first floor.

The hall was very big, with thirty or so tables, and the overall atmosphere was quite nice.

Huo Mian and Qin Chu found a two-person table and sat down. Then, Huo Mian picked up the pencil on the table and writing down the orders.

Qin Chu took out his phone to look at the company’s summary of the charity banquet…

“We received two hundred and thirty million in donations, not bad.” Qin Chu nodded.

“That much?” Huo Mian felt somewhat surprised.

“It’s not that much, Su Yu bought a fifty-million-yuan piece of jewelry himself.” Qin Chu smiled.

Upon hearing Su Yu’s name, Huo Mian uncomfortably explained, “Honey, Su Yu and I actually…”

“I know, you don’t have to explain, I know your personality.” Qin Chu dotingly touched Huo Mian’s hand that was holding the pencil.

Huo Mian suddenly brightened up by quite a lot. She was really worried that Qin Chu would be mad at her because of that.

Luckily, Qin Chu wasn’t the jealous type and could understand her situation…

An eight-person table was next to Huo Mian and Qin Chu, and it seated six or seven men.

They talked very loudly, and were very rowdy… the waitress asked them several times to calm down, but it was of no use.

Just then, a tall beautiful woman walked in the door. She was approximately 170 cm tall, with long legs, and white skin. She looked stunning.

She seemed only twenty or so years old and was quite stylish. Even though it was fall, she only wore jean shorts, a loose white T-shirt, and carried an LV handbag…

She sat not far across from Huo Mian and the others…

The men at the neighboring table occasionally looked at her, and then they purposely said loudly, “Nowadays, do you know how young girls are able to wear name brands?”

“Sugar daddy, duh, haha,”

“She calls him daddy during the day, and daddy gets his sugar in bed at night.” Vulgar words came out of their mouths just like that…

Huo Mian couldn’t bear hearing it. She really despised men that gossiped. Why couldn’t they just eat their meal properly? How could they say such vulgar and repulsive things?

That girl clearly heard it too and looked over. Those men became ruder, and some even whistled at her.

They were clearly teasing her…

The girl’s expression changed again and again. Then, she walked over to the washroom, and she took out her phone to make a call.

“Dad… get some of your men over here and take care of a few things for me.”

As she passed by Huo Mian, Huo Mian happened to overhear what she said.

“Whoa, someone’s in trouble.” Huo Mian looked at those vulgar men, eating and drinking as if she was about to witness some neat drama.

Ten minutes later, six Mercedes Benz 600 parked outside the hot pot restaurant, and a dozen or so muscular men in black t-shirts stepped out the cars. Each and every one of them had a baseball bat in their hands, and after they went in, without a single word, they directly rushed over to the table of men and proceeded to beat them up brutally…

Immediately, beer bottles flew into the air, and screams filled the space…

The other customers were so scared that they began screaming, and Qin Chu immediately pulled Huo Mian to the side, worried that she would get hurt.

A few minutes later, those men all fell to the floor with blood all over their faces. The scene was truly gruesome….

The tall beautiful woman then slowly walked towards them in her high heels…
