I opened the door, walked in and he was sitting at a couch at the suiteside.
I exhaled.

‘Baby you can do this’ I assured myself and went over.
“I’m here sir,” I said, standing at his front.
He crossed his legs and he wore eyeglasses.
He looked up at me and I swear, he looked soooooo cute.

“Go on,” he said.
“Okay…” I said and stretched out my hand.
“What?” he asked.
“The book,” I said.

“You said you know each page by heart, so start,” he said.

“Oh okay..” I said and cleared my throat. “Once open a time, a little boy named Tanchi lived with grandparents, his grandfather who’s potbelly Tanchi likes to sit on…” I paused to chuckle.
“What’s funny?” he asked.
“Nothing.. It’s just that, I always laugh whenever I read there and stare at the picture on the book because it’s funny. I thought you do too,” I said.
“I don’t think,” he said.

“Oh okay.. And his grandmother who’s as short as Tanchi. One day, Tanchi’s grandparents took a journey towards the mountain…
On their way, Tanchi got tired of walking and asks his grandfather.
“Grandpa, carry me on your potbelly. I am tired of walking for too long.”
His grandfather replies him. “No Tanchi–”
I got interrupted by Romeo’s phone ringing and because I was standing close to the table, I was able to see the caller.
Shana and it was a video call.

I inhaled.
He picked up the phone which lay on the table and then picks up the call, shifting the phone away from his face.
‘tch! he just picked Shana’s call when I’m here.. It’s so annoying but what do I do?’

I just stood there and watched.
????”Hey boyfriend.. What are you doing right now?” She asked.
????”I’m working. I have an office meeting in two days” he lied.

‘Wait…he just lied’ I sneered at him but he didn’t see it but he then glanced at me but the sneer was gone from my face.

????Really? But what did you glance at? Is one of the guys there?” she asked.
????”No, I heard a sound so I had to glance,” he lied again.

‘Ahsh!! What if I just show up behind him now!’
????Alright.. I miss you so much. I want to be with you all day. Can we do that tomorrow?” she asked.
‘No way will I allow that happen!’
????”Uhmm… We gonna be together but that would be after school” he said.
‘Not ever!’

????”Uhm but I want it to be all day. Are you gonna say no to me.. No you can’t.” she said.
‘Ah I can’t stand this!’

????”I know I can’t say no to you but we go to classes..let’s be together after that babe,” he said.

‘tch! I’m going to stop that from happening!’
????”Alright sweets… Um. Can you show me around your room.. I wanna see how it look today,” she said.
I raised my brows at Romeo who did same at me.

????”What’s wrong?” Shana asked.
He returned his look to the screen. ????”Oh nothing.. Babe I have to go now.. I’m hearing some annoying sound. I gotta go check and I have a lot of work to do too… Have a nice night babe. I love you. Goodnight.
‘Love my foot!’

????”Really? But I wanna know what’s the sound about. We can still be on the call while you check it out,” she said.
????”No babe, just go to sleep. I don’t wanna disturb you with that. Goodnight babe,” he said.
????”Alright then, goodnight boyfriend. I love you” she said.
‘Damn your evil love’
????”Goodnight girlfriend. I love you more” he said.
‘Shut it!’
The call finally ended and he looked up at me.
I exhaled.

“What’s that face?” he asked me.
“What…face sir?” I asked.
He adjusted on the couch.

“Go on, continue the story,” he said.
“Sir…I’m tired of standing. Can I sit?” I asked.
“No, you can’t,” he said.
“Then…I’m sorry but I’ll have to leave,” I said, bowed and tried to take a step but he stopped me.

“Sit,” he said.

I smiled and without wasting a second, I sat on the same couch he sat and even a little close to him.

‘Yes…It’s my mission so I have to do it’
He looked baffled, surprised and maybe vexed up too.
His facial expression was priceless and actually I held myself from laughing out but instead I grinned.
“I..I have a tiny voice, you won’t hear me if I sit at another couch,” I said, grinning.

“What?” he asked with raised brow.

“Or I can forget about the story because I’m very sleepy. Telling you a story isn’t part of my job sir.” I said.

“You are my personal maid and you should do whatever I say, that’s your Job,”he said.
“Should I go on with the story sir?” I asked.
“No.. I have a question instead.” he said.
“What’s that sir?”

“Why wasn’t Tanchi’s parents mentioned in the story?” he asked.
‘Why’s he asking that?’

“Um…I think it’s because he lived with his grandparents and they are the main characters needed in the story,” I said.
He looked at me. I stared at him too.
“No dummy,” he said and returned his look to his front.
I rolled my eyes.. ‘He’s so annoying but cute’
“Why then?” I asked.

“Because they were dead,” he said.

I inhaled. ‘I never thought of that’
“And….the writer didn’t talk about them because he didn’t want the readers to become sad at a point while reading his comedy book. He wanted every page to be all about humour.” he said.

I stared at him.

“…he wrote it in a way that the readers wouldn’t even think about ‘Tanchi’s parents….why did he do that?” he looked at me..with eyes filled with sadness. “Do you know why?” he asked me.
I shook my head. I think my head went empty while staring at him.
“Ahh you are such a dummy.. You have so much to learn,” he said and faced front again.

“I just told you the answer a minute ago,” he said.
“Because he doesn’t want the readers to feel sad at a point?” I said.
“He doesn’t want to make the kids who are the readers sad. He thinks that a kid shouldn’t get involved in a death matter especially when it has to do with his family..why? Because the death of a family member hurt. It’s hurt like hell,” he said.

I felt tears gather in my eyes.
‘I know he’s talking about his parents but what can I do right now?’
He stood up. “I need privacy now. Leave.”
I stood up.

“Yes I know that sir. I understand. It’s not easy to forget. You can never forget it and whenever you do, it hurts so much.. I’m sorry that you are going through this sir,” I said.

“You don’t understand because you were still little when yours happened to you.. You had no idea how it happened and what happened after. You had no idea who saved you… Ahhsh here suddenly feel stuffy,” he said, grabbed his car keys and headed out.

“Where are you going sir?” I asked, running after him.
At the corridor, he stopped and turned to me.
“Don’t follow me, one more step, you are fired,” he said and headed out.
I stood and watched him go downstairs.
“Where’s he going? Maybe somewhere to cool off.. But it’s late..”
I was so worried.

‘Did I cause this?’
I don’t know why but I felt so guilty.
‘I should tell someone about this.. Who? Kelly..’

Jaden, Jimin and I were at the sitting room watching a movie when we saw Romeo walk downstairs.

He looked like he was going out and he didn’t look happy.
We watched him leave….
“Where’s he going?” Jimin asked after he left.
“I think he’s in a bad mood and wanna cool off somewhere like he sometimes do,” Jaden said.
I exhaled.

Just then Baby showed up.
She looked worried too and I was sure it has to do with Romeo.
“I…think Romeo is in a really bad mood and he left with his car keys,” she said.

“It’s fine Baby. We saw him leave. He’ll be back. He always do this sometimes,” I said.
“Really?…oh okay,” she said and turned to leave but Jaden stopped her.
“Did you cry or something? Your eyes are swollen,” he asked her.
She turned back and smiled… “No…I ate something I’m allergic too so it swells my eyes… It will clear soon, ” she said.

“Really? What’s that?” Jaden asked.
“Um…..pineapple. It was a mistake.. I actually ate it in school and because it takes long to show it’s reaction so it just showed up now,” she said.
“Oh…that’s quite bad. It really need to clear soon, because you don’t look pretty enough with it,” Jaden said.

“Oh yes…it will..before morning. Then,” she said, turned and ascended back.
“Why do I feel like she really cried…” Jaden said. “And….what’s up with Romeo’s mood tonight?”
‘What happened?’ I pondered.

I returned to my room, laid on my bed and all I could think of was Romeo.
Where he is right now.
‘How he’s doing?
What he’s doing?

Is he crying?
Or just staring at whatever…maybe the stars?
Or driving?
Or maybe drinking?
Or singing?’

I exhaled and tossed on my bed.
‘I hope he comes back soon. I’m so worried about him’
My phone beeped.
A message from Lala.
I opened it.

????~Don’t you want to know about the thing I have to tell you anymore~????
‘Oh… I forgot!’
????~im so sorry Lala. Please can I hear it now. I ACTU ally need something to get my mind off something.~????
I replied.

????~What’s that? What’s wrong?~????
????~It has to do with Romeo. I read an old story book to him and he got moody because of it then left the house with his car. Kelly says he does that sometimes when he’s moody but I’m worried.~???? I replied.

????~It’s fine.. He will return. Don’t get yourself too worked up~????
????~Thank you Lala.. Now I want to hear yours~????
????~It’s about Davis, I told you… He knows about Kelly and I….but he assured me that it’s safe with him. But I’m scared. I don’t totally trust Davis.~????

I walked out of the bathroom to hear so many notification beeps on my phone
“What’s this? It’s not like I released a new single,” I said as I went for my vibrating phone and on opening the message, I screamed out at what I saw.

I was still chatting with Lala over an hour now when a knock came on my door.
My heart skipped immediately as my mind went to Romeo.
‘Can it be him? Is he back?’

I left the bed and my phone and went to the door. Opening it, it was Kelly.
“Do you need anything Sir?” I asked.

“It’s about Romeo…” he said.
“What about him?” I asked.
“He got into an accident,” he said.
“What!!!” I gasped.
