‘I didn’t get to hold his hand yesterday but I’m going to do that…..but not now. I will figure out the way I’ll do that later’

I got inside my car, fastened the seatbelt and soon I was driving towards Rocks High.

After a minute drive, my phone began to ring.
Alisa was calling.
“Why’s she calling?”

I put on an earphone and picked up.

????”Hello Jamie” she spoke first. Her voice didn’t sound so clear.
????”What’s wrong with your voice?” I asked her.
????”Nothing. I just caught a little cold” she said.
????”A little cold? Have you had some drugs?”
????”Yes.. I’m going to be better in no time,” she said.
????”Alright…but is that why you called?”
????”Noo.. I just wanted to say good morning and wish you a good day. Alright then, bye.”
????”Oh..really? Thank you. I’ll call you after school. I hope you get better by then,” I said.
????”Thank you. I’ll be waiting for your call.”
????”Yeah. Take care”
????”You too.”

She hung up and I took the earphone off my ear.
‘Why did she get a cold? She was all fine two days ago’

Few minutes later, I drove into Rocks High and took a space at the parking lot.

Getting out of my car with my backpack, the private jet of the rockstars flew into the school and landed on their landing space, close to the parking lot.

I locked my car and watched the stairs came down, the door opened and the rockstars began to alight the plane.
I waited to see Baby.

I wanted to see how beautiful she looked today and it didn’t take long for her to alight with all the rockstars bag on her like usual.
I smiled as I admired her beauty.

‘She look so beautiful’
But a moment later, she’s been crowded by students who were screaming the rockstars name.

It seem they were all happy to see Romeo.
I headed to the hallway with only thoughts of Baby
‘Will I be able to tell her how I feel?’

‘Will she say yes to me?’
‘Will she like someone like me?’

‘What if she say no to me? I might never heal from the heartbreak’
‘But I want to tell her how I feel. I’m in love with her and I want her to be my girlfriend’

‘I’m going to tell her how I feel.. I can’t hold it anymore’

I dropped the bags at their right place.
“I’ll be off now sirs,” I said to them.
Romeo was already chewing bubble gum with his headset on.
“Baby get me a glass of water before you leave,” Lucky said.

“Yes sir” I said and hurried to the fridge. I got the glass of water and took it to him.

“Here sir,”I said, handing it to him.
“Thank you,” he said as he took it.
I finally left and soon, I was in the homeroom.
I saw Lala and smiled at her.
She smiled back.

Davis waved at me as usual and rolled his eyes up at me in a funny way… He’s such a funny guy.

I chuckled as I headed to my desk.
Jamie was busy with his phone but as I got to my desk, he looked up and I smiled at him.
He smiled back..

‘He’s such a cute guy. If only he’s going to have a little friends and become less introverted’
I sat down on my seat, opened my locker and dropped my bag then took out my books for first class, Math.
Just then, my phone beeped in my bag and without thinking twice, I took it out.

A message from Lala.
I smiled and opened it.
????I just wanna see your new phone????????????
I smiled and replied her. ????Here it is????????
????Oh wow, I can see it from here. It sparkles!????
????Thank you.. The fancy pack is so cute too. I love pink!????
????It’s cute just like Romeo right?????
Whaattt?
I smiled. ????Yes it is…but Romeo’s more cute????
????Wow.. Really? Are you falling for the handsome introvert already?????????
????I don’t know… I don’t think.. I just like him now. really.????????

????Awwn don’t get me jealous. You now have a phone more expensive than mine. Don’t let me steal it.????????????
????Lol. I don’t mind.. So far it’s you.????????
????Awn… I can’t wait to see him today. I wanna see how he’s recovering back to his old self.. All thanks to you Baby????

I smiled. ????I’m going to keep trying my best????
First class bell rang and I dropped my phone back in my bag, locked my locker and carried my math books.

I met with Lala and Davis and we headed to Math class together.
The Rockstars and rockangels were going to be in general class today.
I felt butterflies in my stomach.

Even though I live in the same roof with Romeo and fly to school with him everyday, but knowing that he’s going to be in general class is giving me another crazy feeling.
I’ve never felt that feeling before. God help me.
We got into the math class and settled down. Lala and I sat together while Davis sat behind us.

The rockangels were the first to walk in.
I saw angel Debbie and she smiled at me. I smiled back happily.
‘I know I have Lala..but having one of rockangels as a friend seem so exciting too’
Shana didn’t look at me but went straight to a seat already prepared for her by a fan.

The rockangels had their seats then the rockstars came in.
That exciting feeling grew more when I saw Romeo walk in. I watched him go for a seat.

I was glad when he didn’t sit with Shana.
The rockstars all sat down then the Math teacher began his teaching.
When I glanced at Lala, I saw her eyes on Kelly.
‘I’ve never been in a relationship talk more of a secret one so I don’t really know she feels but I hope she keep on going. It’s all going to be over soon..’

????Lala????

I could barely take my eyes off Kelly. Our eyes met countless times.
I know he thinks it’s only about we missing each other I’m also worried about how to tell him that Davis know about us.
Yes I want to tell him but I don’t know how to.
What would he say?
What would he do?

I don’t think it will make any difference. I would only arise fear in him and I don’t want that.
I don’t really have to tell him since Davis doesn’t have any bad intentions.
If he did, he would have come with a threat but he assured me that he’s got no bad intentions and also assured me that he told no one..
I’m just going to keep this fear inside of me alone. Yes I will.
But what about Baby? Can’t I tell you as well?
I think I can.

Romeo haven’t even looked my way.
I wonder what he has to tell me. I can’t wait but I feel nervous.
If only Zeekah was around!

The second class and third class came and went just as the first class.
It was finally lunch. Lala, Davis and I headed for lunch.
I was so hungry. I wondered why.
Austin joined us too just like yesterday.

“Why are you picking at your food Alisa?” My school friend and classmate, Sally asked me. “Yesterday you were in a really bad mood and today you are worse. What’s really wrong with you Alisa?” she touched my forehead “You don’t look sick at all. Give me your phone.”
I looked at her.

“You won’t tell me?” she asked.
“I told you I’m fine Sally. Let’s eat,” I said.
“Eat when you aren’t eating anything?”
I sighed.

“Fine. I know what to do..” she said and took out my phone from her purse pocket.

I raised my brow. “what Sally, why did you take my phone from my bag?”
“Girl, since you don’t want to tell me what’s up with you. I have to get it myself,” she said and began typing on my phone.
“Sally my mood has nothing to do with my phone, give it to me okay,…” I said, trying to get my phone from her but it was impossible or maybe I wanted to find out anyway.

“Oh yes, I get it now. You have a new contact by the…name…..Whaaat? Crush Jamie.. And you called him in the morning and he picked..” she widened her eyes at me. “Who’s crush Jamie?”

I sat back down. “He’s just someone I met.”
“Just? Did you say just? Just someone you met and you saved his name with crush? You’re crushing on him… Don’t lie to me.. Is he the reason why you are moody?” she asked.

‘Since she’s found out, I’m going to tell her anyway’
“Yes he is..”

“Wow taeba! I can’t believe my friend Alisa is finally crushing on someone.. But that shouldn’t make you sad. You should be excited. How did it happen?”
“I met him last week Thursday when I went to deliver Pizza –”
“He must be really cute,” Sally cut in.

“Yes he is.. But we didn’t talk that day but the next day. You remember me telling you how my phone screen got broken?”
“Wait….is he the guy?” she asked.

“Yes he is..”

“Oh my goodness….”

“After that morning, we met again during my part time. I was returning from a delivery when I met him walking down the road. I stopped to say hi but as we were talking, we heard gunshots but he grabbed my hands and we ran together to a hide out.”

“You mean the robbery on Friday?” she asked.
“Yes… It was in the hideout that we got to know each other. We exchanged contacts. The next day, I made another delivery to his mom and we talked for a while. His company and everything about him made me fall in love with him–”
Sally chuckled. “Fall what? You, Alisa? What do you even know about falling in love? I sally who had dated five guys don’t know what falling in love is then it’s you who had refused to date any guy.”

“I’m serious Sally. I’ve never felt this way before and you know it…but my heart got broken..” I said, tears gathering in my eyes.

“Wait..you told him how you feel and he rejected you? He has a girlfriend?” she asked.

“No I didn’t tell him how I feel about him but he told about how he feel–”
“What? That he likes you too?” Sally cut in.
“That he has a crush on someone..”

“Oh my…that’s heartbreaker,” sally said.

“And it’s no one else but…my best friend Baby,” I said.
Sally gasped. “Oh my! What? Baby? How? He knows her?”
“He told me he’s a rocks high student and Baby’s friend who he’s crushing on and is planning on asking her out.. I was so heartbroken. I really like him” I said and broke into tears.

“Oh my…god..no Alisa. You can’t cry here…take a hanky and wipe your tears..Alisa..”

“Why just it be Baby?” I asked.
“Take the handkerchief first,” Sally said.
“Thanks” I said as I took it and wiped my tears.
“That means he’s really rich like we guessed,” Sally said.
“That’s not what’s important right now..” I said.
“I know…I just can’t believe it…but Alisa, how is this possible? That your best friend is really lucky. First the rocks high girl, Lala, who helped her into rocks High.. Then to her getting saved by rockstar Kelly! Then to her getting a work at the rockstars mansion.. This is incredible Alisa. What’s her secret?”

“This doesn’t have anything to do with Baby. I’m going to be fine.. I’m almost fine,” I said.

“So are you just going to let Jamie go like that? For all I know he isn’t dating her yet. He’s still crushing on her and most times, crushing on someone is nothing but an infatuation It last for only a short while.. You can’t let him go because of that. And Baby might not accept him. You have to fight to win his love.”

“I can’t fight for love Sally. I’m not someone like that. I’ll leave him to his choice.. I have to eat now..” I said and with that, I began munching the food hungrily.

“Woah woah… Take it easy girl.” Sally said.

Today again, I saw Lala, Baby and two guys walk in and out of the cafeteria.
‘Who are they? Lala never had male friends? Could it be Baby?
Ahh why do I get scared when I see Lala talking with a guy?
I feel like she’s going to break up with me.
I know I trust her but I still get scared.
I’m a human after all…’
