Clara’s pov

It’s been three hours and it’s time to give him the coffee.

I kept completing the files, that he gave me and still there are five more files.

My mother called me and shouted at me, that I didn’t eat breakfast before going to the office.

I went to the pantry in the floor and made him the coffee like he said, two cubes of sugar.

I knocked on his door.
“Come in”, came his sexy voice.

I sighed and went inside. I hope this time I don’t do anything to embarrass myself in front of him!

Till now, whenever I met him, I embarrassed myself in front of him!

“Mr. Bryant, your coffee”, I said while putting the tray in front of him.

He hummed and tried to take the coffee, without looking up from the computer screen.

He accidentally put his fingers in the cup and the hot coffee burned his fingers.

A hiss let out of his mouth.
“Sir, are you okay? Shall I bring ice?

Oh it must be burning, isn’t it?”, I took his fingers and blew air through my mouth, on his fingers.

His skin became red, where it burned.

“Sir, I will bring burnol from the pantry.

I am sure, they might have a small first aid kit in the shelves”,

I said as I turned back and took a step forward to go out of the room.

But a hand caught my wrist, pulling me into his lap.

I let out a yelp, thinking that I am falling.

“No need Clara. I don’t need those ointments.

What I want is your lips on them”, he said in his husky voice.

I just looked at him, with a stunned expression.

“Sir, I thi-“.
“Oh and for the last time, don’t call me sir.

I don’t know what I will do, if I hear you again calling me that”, he whispered against my ear.

His lips lightly touching my ear and sending unexplainable feelings all over my body. Oh no! Will he fire me?!

We heard a knock on the door and I quickly got out of his lap and adjusted my dress.

All the while he is watching me like a hawk.

“Come in”, he said angrily. I see the women from the reception came in.

I smiled at her, she smiled back.
“Sir, Mr. Jones called and said he wants to shift tomorrow’s meeting to today afternoon”, she said.

“Okay. Tell him, we will be there by 12.00 P.M and tell my driver to get the car ready.

You can leave now Ms. Harris”, he dismissed her and she left the room.

Right time for me to escape! Come on Clara, get out of the lion’s den!

“Mr. Bryant, I will leave too”, I said and took a few steps, only to be stopped by his voice.

“Be ready, by 12.00 P.M Ms. Edwards. We both need to attend the meeting.

I need my P.A there”, he said looking at me.

“Okay Mr. Bryant”, I said and quickly came out of the room and huffed.

I can breathe air now. But only for two hours.

Cause in next two hours, I should go to meeting with him.

The two hours flew by easily and it’s already 11.55 A.M. I am completed with the files.

I took them to his office and placed them on his table.

“Mr. Bryant, I checked the files and copied them in the computer”, I said and took out a notepad to write, if he says anything.

“Okay. Let’s go to the meeting. It’s already 12.00 A.M and Mr. Jones will be waiting”,

he said and took his cell phone and we both came out of the room.

We went in the private lift and sat in his car.

He opened the door for me, before his chauffer can open it for me.

I thanked him and sat in the seat. There were his bodyguards in the front. His car is a shiny black limousine.

Soon we reached the place and I came out of the car to see another big building, just like Bryant Company’s.

“Let’s go”, I heard him say and followed him.

He is walking too fast and I am jogging behind him, in my high heels.

The bodyguards are on his toe, but he stopped them before entering the building.

Soon we reached the floor, where the meeting is being held.

In the way I saw a lot of women turn their heads to look at him.

Who wouldn’t?! He is a Greek god, with sexy Italian accent!

He pushed open a door and there we men, that sat in a row, around a big semi-circular table.

“Hello Mr. Jones. How are you?”, he greeted the other man.

I thought Mr. Jones is an old man with a half bald head, of less height.

But it’s totally opposite here. He looks like he is in his late twenties.

He has blond hair and blue eyes. He is handsome, but not as handsome as Mr. Bryant.

“I am good and who is this beautiful lady here?”, Mr. Jones said, as he turned towards me.

“Hello Mr. Jones. I am Clara Edwards. Mr. Bryant new assistant”,

I said while extending my hand. He took my hand and kissed it.

“You are beautiful Ms. Edwards and oh, please call me Jones”, he said as he kissed my hand.

“Thank you, Jones”, I said while blushing.

“If you both are over, can we start the meeting”, I heard Mr. Bryant angry voice.

“Yeah. Why not! Sit here Ms. Edwards”, Jones said, while pulling out a chair for me beside him.

“Thank you Jones and please call me Clara”.

“You are welcome Clara”. I smiled at him and looked up to see Mr. Bryant with an angry look.

He started explaining about the new construction plan that Jones company asked.

I felt bored and looked around to see that, most of the men are of mid-twenties to mid-thirties.

Few of them are above forties and above fifties.

After a while Jones started talking with me.

He said some jokes, while made me giggle slowly, so that the other members couldn’t hear.

I looked up at Mr. Bryant and found him glaring at Jones.

I quickly put my head down and tried to concentrate on the meeting, which is very boring.

During the meeting, I understood that Jones is not a creepy guy.

He is actually good. He may be flirty, but still good.

The meeting went on for about one and a half hour.

“So, that’s it gentlemen”, Mr. Bryant said.

“It’s good. I accept the project”, Jones said while smiling at me. I smiled back.

“Okay. It’s time for us to go”, Mr. Bryant said.

“But, we just accepted your project. At least have lunch with us”, Jones said.

“No Mr. Jones. We have other things to do”.

“Oh, okay”, he said disappointedly.
All the other men in the room congratulated him and some men even flirted with me.

Jones just stood beside me. We were going outside the building when I remembered something.

“Mr. Bryant, one minute. I forgot my cell phone in the conference room”, I said turned back to go to the conference room, but bumped into Jones.

“Oh, I am sorry”, I said.
“It’s okay. This must be your phone. I stored my number in your cell phone.

If you don’t mind… we can go out if you want sometime”.
“Yeah sure. Why not?”.

“Cool. Bye, your boss is waiting”, he said, pointing to an angry looking Mr. Bryant.

What happened to him? Why is he like that?!

“Yeah. Okay bye”.
“Bye”, he said and kissed my cheek.

I blushed and he went inside waving at me.

I returned back to the car smiling like a teenager, that got her first kiss.

Mr. Bryant opened the door for me angrily.

After I sat in, he shut if with a bang. He came around the car and sat beside me.

The car soon started moving. His bodyguards sat in front.

He closed the part between un and the driver.

The tension is thick between us. I can feel anger from him.

I can’t bear the silence, so I decided to ask him.

“Mr. Bryant, are you okay?”.
He turned to me and before he can reply, my phone rang.

I answered it without looking at the caller ID.
“Hello”.

“Hey Clara. It’s Jones”.

“Jones?”, I asked confused and before I can say anything, my phone is snatched from my hand by Mr. Bryant.

He opened the car’s black shiny glass window and threw it out.

My mouth is hanging open. I blinked a few times.

He sat there in his place, as if he did nothing. This is out of line!

“Mr. Bryant, what did you do?”.
“You are not going out with that prick”.

“What?! Bryant is not a prick and who are you to say that I can’t go out with him? If I want to go, I will go”.

“No you are not”, he said sternly.
“My personal life is none of your business Mr. Bryant”, I said with same tone back.

“Oh yes it is! You are not going out with him. End of discussion”, he glared at me.

“Sir, it’s none of your concern, with wh-“.
“Don’t call me sir, otherwi-“.
“Or what?! Or what huh?! You are going to fire me?! I don’t care! Sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, si-“, I am cut off by a pair of lips on my own.

I tried to struggle in his arms, but I can’t resist him anymore.

I gave in.

He is kissing me passionately. He nibbled on my lower lip, but I didn’t open my lips.

He took the opportunity to plunge his tongue into my mouth.

I ran my hands through his hair and tugged on his hair, as we fought for dominance. I let out moans.

“Dalton”, I moaned into the kiss. He didn’t stop.

It only ignited him more.
We kissed each other fiercely and angrily.

The car stopped with a screech and I pulled him away, coming to my senses.

What have I done?!
