OPPOSITE ATTRACTION - Episode 15

Clara’s Pov

“Come on Dalton! Fast. We will be late otherwise!”, I shouted from the living room of Dalton’s pent house.

He came out in a grey suit and tie with an amused expression on his face.

Why is he amused?
“Okay. Everything is ready, let’s go”, he said as he came to me and put his hand around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

“Why do you have an amused expression on your face?”.

“You are so cute like a kid when you are excited. You have been bouncing since morning”, he said with almost a smile and I blushed.

“Well I am so happy that I am going to Venice”, I said while grinning as we got inside the lift and he pressed the button to ground floor.

“I am too. Since I am going with you”, he said looking down at me.

“Can you get anymore cornier?”. He pulled my face closer to his.
“I can”, he said huskily in his sexy Italian accent while looking into my eyes.

The lift stopped and I looked away. The doors opened and we came out.

I went to his car and sat in it before he can come and open the door for me.

After a few seconds, Dalton came and sat beside me. I smiled at him and pulled up the partition wall between us and the driver.

I raised my eyebrow at him. He ignored me.
I looked ahead. I can’t stop the excitement. Today is Friday and we are going to Venice. I got up early and got ready.

Since I don’t have more clothes with me, I just packed a few that Dalton bought for me.

When I say few, I don’t really mean few. There are a lot. He didn’t even say that he bought them all.

On the second in his house, I opened his wardrobe and found many women clothes.

When I asked him, he said those all are for me, his reason is that whenever I stay in his house at day or night, they will be there for spare.

I rolled my eyes at him and didn’t talk to him for an hour. But this whole week that I spent with him was awesome.

About the girlfriend issue, I don’t know what to say. From then on he is introducing me to clients as his girlfriend.

Mainly the younger clients. We even argued about it or should I say, I kept arguing about it and he ignored me the whole time.

At last, he only said one single sentence. “You are my girlfriend that is final” . With that said he turned back to do his work.

Although I show it out like I am angry at him for it, my heart always swelled with happiness when he introduced me to his clients as his girlfriend.

I grin happily, but sometimes it feels weird to be called as his girlfriend. I am brought out of my thoughts when the car stopped and the door on my side opened.

“Come on Cara”, he said as he gave me his hand. I took it and came out. He kissed my cheek and we both walked to his private plane.

Our luggage is carried by his security. We both got in and I quickly took a window seat. He talked to the maintenance member and came to sit beside me.

I smiled at him and looked just sat there. I felt hands near my waist and found him buckling my belt.
“Thank you, Dalton”.

“You are welcome girlfriend”, he said and I glared at him and turned my head to another side to hide the big smile on my face.

“You don’t need to hide the smile from me, Cara Mia. I can see it on the glass window beside you”, he said and I blushed.

After a while, we are in the air and I am bored. Dalton held my hand for a while, but then he started working.

I yawned and I can feel my eyes getting droopy. I closed my eyes and felt my head fall to a side.

I feel something under my head and happily, put my head on it thinking it is a pillow.

I woke up as I feel myself being carried by someone and opened my eyes. I found myself in Dalton arms. I quickly moved and tried to get out of his arms.

“Dalton! Put me down!”, I said struggling in his arms.

“No Cara. Just sleep. You woke up at four in the morning to get ready for the plane.

We landed just now. It’s only ten in the morning. I know you are tired from the constant working of the last few days.

I will carry you back to the car. You go back to sleep”, he said while carrying me in his arms. My heart fluttered at his concern. I put my arms around his neck.

“Dalton, it’s okay. Put me down”, I said calmly and sweetly. He looked down at me with a not-happening expression.

“Please”, I pleaded. He looked at me for a minute, then turned his head to looked ahead. I sighed. No sense in arguing with him. I let him carry me and we are out of the plane.

He carried me to a black shining Mercedes that is waiting for us and put me in.

I thanked him and he closed the door, before coming to other side and sitting beside me. His security came in another car, following us from behind.

Soon the car stopped and I came out, without waiting for him to open my door.

Dalton came to my side and glared at me. I ignored him. I looked around to see where we are and found a normal individual house, but it is big with big boundary walls.

I gave him a confused look. I thought we are going to go to a five-star hotel that belongs to him, which I don’t like.

“Let’s go inside”, he said, pulling me along with him, ignoring my confused expression.

I saw his security carry our luggage. We went in and I am amazed by the house. The house is small and beautiful. It is not so small, but it has a hall and three bedrooms with a big swimming pool outside.

The boundary walls are high due to which no one from outside can see inside.
“It’s beautiful Dalton!”, I chirped as I looked around. The place looked like it belongs to a man above middle class. It’s simple and beautiful.

“I know. Dad bought it for mom”, he said looking down for a minute with a serious expression.

Then he looked up at me with an emotionless face. He may hide his face from me, but not his eyes. His eyes held so much pain.

My heart tugged. I went to him and hugged him without saying anything. I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back.

We just stood like that in the middle of the room for a few minutes without saying any word. I know that talking about his parents hurts him. I the past week that I lived with him, I came to know a lot about him.

There is a big picture of his mother and father together in the living room.

I still don’t understand how I missed it when I came last time. Bringing me here sure means more to him.
After a few moments, he pulled away and held my face in his hands.

I blinked at him and he leaned down and kissed my forehead. In that moment, something inside me wanted to make him mine.

I want to kiss him and tell him I am there for him. I want to tell him that I will bear his pain along with him. I want to take away his pain and make him whole again. I want to be his girlfriend.

“I am feeling hungry!”, I said trying to change the mood and an amused expression crossed over his face.

“Come on. I will show you the kitchen”, he said while pulling me along with him by my hand.

I looked around and it looks nothing special like the kitchen in his penthouse, but it looks simple and elegant.

I so want to ask him why his father bought such a simple house for his mother.

They can have anything they want, but this is just a normal house, which is sweet and feels like home.

“So what do you have?”, I asked as I opened a few doors checking if there is anything inside.

“You go and get ready. I will make coffee for you”, he said as he came near me.

“No. We will both make it together”, I said as I took out a packet of milk and Dalton agreed.

We put the water on the stove to boil and I just stood in front of it looking at the boiling water.

I heard his footsteps coming closer and felt his hands curling around my waist from the back and pressed my back to his chest gently.

He pushed the hair on my neck to one side and kept kissing my neck. I don’t know why I didn’t stop him. I don’t want to stop him. He nibbled on my skin.

“Dalton”, I moaned as I angled my head to a side, giving him more access.

He suddenly turned me around and moved me aside to push me against the kitchen platform away from the stove.

His lips are on mine instantly and he invaded my mouth like a hungry tiger. His tongue came into my mouth without my permission and possessed me like he owns me.

I pulled him closer and kissed him back hungrily.

His hands went up to my thighs from under my light brown mid-thigh summer dress.

I removed his coat fastly and he helped me. I was about to lose his buttons, but he stopped me. He pulled away and we are both panting.

Then I realized and my cheeks became red.

I was about to give myself to him! So cheap! He might be thinking now that I am a slut! I feel like one!

I pushed him away and got down of the platform. I turned off the stove since all the water is boiled overly. I was about to walk away when he stopped me by my wrist.

“Cara”, he called, but I didn’t turn around.

I feel tears on the corner of my eyes.
“Cara”, he said and turned me to him.
I kept my gaze down without looking at him. I feel so ashamed of myself.

How can I be so low? How can I behave like that? Why do I lose control on myself when I am around him? Why does he make me feel things I never felt before?

“Cara, look at me”, he ordered.
I ignored him and put my gaze down. He held chin with his thumb and forefinger and made me raise my head up.

I still kept my eyes down, not wanting him to look at my tears.
“Cara Mia. What happened suddenly?”, he asked with concern as he pulled me a little closer to him.

I just stood there. Urrgh… Why am I behaving like a bipolar patient?!
“Cara Mia. Look at me”, he said like he is pained and I finally looked up at him.

A tear fell from my eyes. He looked surprised by my tears and wiped it away with his thumb and held my face in his hand while the other is around my waist.

“Cara, what happened? Tell me! Did I do something wrong that has hurt you?”.
I shook my head.
“Then what? Please tell me”, he pleaded.
“I… I… I feel like a-“.
“Don’t you dare complete that sentence, Cara!”, he warned. I looked at him questioningly.
“What? You know what I was about to say?”.
“Of course! You already said it so many times!”, he said angrily while running his hand through his hair.
“Dalton-“.
“Don’t! God women! How many times do I have to tell you to not think about yourself like that? Did I ever treat you like one?!”, he asked as he held me by my shoulders.
“No”, I said looking into his eyes and my voice is bearly above a whisper.

“Then why? Why do you think about yourself like that? I not only pains you, but also me! So, stop feeling like that! You are nothing like that! Not to me!”, he almost shouted.

“But Dalton! This is wrong!”, I said and tears fell out of my eyes freely.
“Why is it wrong? You are my girlfriend!”.

“No! I never completely agreed! I am your P. A! Just P. A”.
“Why don’t you want to be my girlfriend?”, he asked in his low and cold voice.

“Because it’s not right. We can’t have such type of relationship”, I reasoned out, trying to make him understand.
“You are making this… this whole P. A a big deal”.

I looked away from him.
“So, if you weren’t my P. A, would you have been my girlfriend?”, he asked as he took a step to come closer to me.

“Of course”, I answered without thinking. He smirked at me and suddenly pulled me to him by my waist and our chests are smashed against each other.

“Okay then”, he said and I frowned at him.
“What okay?”. He held my head up by my chin and looked into my eyes.
“Clara Edwards. Cara Mia.

You Are fired”, he said still smirking and my eyes widen.

Before I can react his lips are on mine.
