Clara’s Pov

I can’t stop smiling. I am finally going to go to Venice this Friday! That too with Dalton!

I don’t know why but I feel more happy about spending time with Martin that the fact that I am going to Venice. My heart is fluttering with happiness.

“Well someone is in a good mood”, I heard Dalton say and turned I my head to him.

We are in his car and he is driving us to work.

“Yes”, I said still smiling and we are soon near the office.

Dalton got out and came to my side to open the door.

I came out and took his hand which he gave me and went to the lift in the basement.

I feel a little uncomfortable in the clothes I am wearing since they are yesterday’s.

I hope I don’t smell bad. Dalton looked at my worried face and gave me a questioning look.

“I think I am smell fishy because of the clothes I wore”, I said with a scowl and Dalton pulled me to He pushed fortieth floor button and the doors closed.

Once the doors are closed he pushed me to the steel wall of the lift and put his face near to mine. His lips are so close to mine.

“Let me check”, he said and kissed my cheek.

Then he tenderly ran his lips to my jaw and my hands instantly went to his back. He kissed my neck lightly first, then he pressed his lips fully on my neck, kissing me.

I closed my eyes and let my hands roam his back.

“Dalton”, I moaned his name. He stopped and looked at me.

“You smell good. You smell like me, because of the soap you used and I love it”, he said kissing my other cheek.

Then he suddenly pulled away and stood beside me. I gave him a confused look and then realized that we are on our floor and the lift doors are going to open.

Dalton took my hand in his and we got out. I was about to go to my cabin that is in front of his cabin, but he pulled me along with him into his as he is holding my hand. I gasped as he did it.

“There is still one and half hour for all the other staff to come. Sit with me in my cabin till they come”, he ordered and sat on his big chair.

“Okay”, I said and was about to go and sit on the chair in front of him, but he pulled me into his lap.

“Sit here”, he ordered.
“Dalton no!”, I said and tried to get up.
“No. Don’t try. You can’t get out of my hold. Never”, he said the last part very low.

“But how will you do work?”, I asked while trying to glare at him.

“I don’t have any today”, he said trying to dismiss the topic.

“Dalton, you have a meeting with Jones’s company today remember?”.

“I do.

But I only need to sign some papers for that. That’s it. Also, I have to warn you about something”, he said getting in a serious mood.

“What? Did I do something wrong?”, I asked panicking.

“No. But you are not allowed to flirt with him”, he said seriously.

“What?! I don’t flirt with him!”, I said angrily, trying to get out of his lap.

“Okay. Then don’t laugh when he flirts with you. I don’t like it”, he said still holding me in place.

“Dalton, are you feeling jealous?”, I teased him.

“No”, he said not looking at me and I can easily say that he is lying.

“You are jealous!”, I teased him and he kissed me on my lips shutting me up.
“Tease me once again and I will take you against the glass walls of my room”, he warned. My eyes widened at his words.

“Dalton!”, I said angrily and the blush on my face wouldn’t stop till it reached the tips of ear.

“You look hot when you are angry”, he commented and instantly all my anger faded away and I hit him on his chest.

“You can’t say words like that to me”, I said in a low voice.

“Oh I can”, he said arrogantly. I shook my head at him and just sat there in silence.

It is a comfortable silence. I felt him stare at me and looked at him. He still keeps staring.

“What?”, I asked. He shook his head.
“Nothing. I am just… staring”, he said still looking at me. Now he is looking into my eyes.

I blushed under his gaze. He made me look at him and I looked into his eyes. I want to get lost in those eyes. Silence surrounded us and we are staring into each other’s eyes.

“You are beautiful”, he said and I really feel beautiful this very moment as he said it.

“Thank you”, I whispered shyly. He pulled me closer and now I am straddling him. My hands are around his neck and his hands are on my waist, holding me close.

We are still looking into each other’s eyes.
“Cara”, he said.

“Hmm”, I hummed in response, enjoying our moment.

“Be my girlfriend”, he demanded and I am shocked. I slowly pulled my hands away from his neck.
“Dalton”.

“Yes, Cara Mia. My Clara. Be my girlfriend”, he said and I am stunned.

I don’t want to deny him. At the same time, I don’t know if it is right to be his girlfriend.

“Dalton, I-“, I was about to say, but my phone rang and I gave him an apologetic look.

I got my phone out of my pocket and answered it without seeing the caller ID.
“Hey Diana!”, I heard Erica’s voice.
“Hey Erica!”.
“I came to office soon today. Since it’s already eight. I brought you a pair of my clothes. I will bring them up to your cabin, okay?”, she said.
“Okay. Thank you”.

“You are welcome”, she said and I cut the call. Dalton is looking at me.
“It is Erica. She said she came to office and she is coming to my cabin right now to give me her clothes.

I should go”, I said in an apologising manner and got up. He didn’t say anything. He just nodded his head with a serious look on his face.

I feel bad. I just want to sit on his lap for some more time and kiss him. God, where are these thoughts coming from?!

I got of his room looking back at him once. He sat straight in his seat and started working. I went to my room and feel bad. My heart is hurting for hurting him.

I want him! I really want him! What am I thinking?!

Dalton, you should not be thinking like that! But I can’t stop myself and I can’t control my feelings for him! Urggh… Why is this so confusing?!

Just then my door opened and Erica came in.
“Hey”, I said and got up to go near her.

“Hey! Here are my clothes. I hope they fit you. Since I am very lean, I brought you the biggest clothes I have”, she said smiling at me.

“It’s okay and thank you so much for bringing them”.

“Don’t mention. Now go change”, she said and we both got out. She went back to work and I went to women’s washroom.

It’s hard changing in the washroom. I however did it. I took off the shirt I am wearing and wore the shirt she brought.

I am keeping the buttons, but the top two wouldn’t fit.

The dress is so tight. Even the others buttons were fit with so much difficulty.

I however put the top two buttons and took a look at myself in the mirror. The dress is sticking to me like a second skin.

I let out a breathe. It’s hard to even breathe.

There is nothing I can do about it, I said to myself and the lower half is a black shirt that only reached a few inches up my knee.

I went up to my cabin. I sat and was about to start work when the intercom buzzed. I sighed and went to him cabin.

I knocked on his door. I heard him say to come in and went inside.

“Dalton, you called me?”, I asked and he looked up from the screen of his laptop.

“Yes, I…”, he stopped and his eyes roamed my body. He closed his eyes. and gulped down.

“Dalton, are you okay?”, I asked as I walked to him.

“Fuck!”, he hissed and ran a hand through his hair.
“What?”.
“God Cara! What are you wearing? Did you look at yourself in the mirror?

Are you doing it intentionally? Do you want me to kiss you or are you trying to seduce me?”

“What? I am doing none of it? Why would I?”, I asked confused.

“Cara, your dress it so tight. Your curves can be seen clearly. Go and change into the dress you wore first”, he ordered.

“Dalton, no, I can’t. I don’t want to. The smells sticky”.

“Cara Mia, please. Urrgh…”, he said and kissed me on my lips. Then he suddenly pulled away.

“Dalton!”.
“God, you are driving me crazy. Okay. At least don’t come out of your cabin till I say and it is an order”, he said sternly.

I glared at him and nodded.
“Thank you and I called you to help me with the file.

I can’t find it. Find the file of Jones’s company deal and bring it to me”,

he said and sat back in his chair. I nodded and got out. I searched for it and after a few minutes, I found it in my cabin.

I went and gave it to him. I came out and went to my cabin.

I kept doing my work and didn’t know what the time is. I sat back in my chair and stretched my body.

I took my phone and checked the time. It’s already one O’ clock. I am feeling hungry .

I got up and went out. I knocked on Dalton door to see if he is there and opened the door after I heard him.

I froze as I went in. There is Jones sitting in the seat opposite Dalton and he turned to look at me.

“Good afternoon “, Jones greeted and Dalton is glaring at me. I smiled sheepishly at him.

“Good morning Clara. You look… beautiful”, he said as his eyes roamed my body.

“Thank you”, I said feeling uncomfortable under his gaze.

“Stop flirting with my girlfriend you bastard!”, Dalton said and my eyes widened. Girlfriend!

“What? Girlfriend?”, Jones asked and Dalton glared at him before he got up and came to me.

He caught hold of my waist and pulled me to him. I am looking at him with shock.

“Yeah. My girlfriend. Got a problem with it?”, Dalton said angrily.

“No”, Jones said feeling awkward.
“Then I think you can take your leave since our meeting is over”, Dalton said rudely.

“Dalton”, I called him.
“What?”.
“No need to talk so rudely”.
“It’s okay. I know how he is when he gets angry. I will leave. Bye”, he said standing up.

“Bye”, I said and he went out.
“Dalton. That’s not a way to talk with him”, I said as I turned to him.

“Why did you say bye to him? I said not to flirt with him!”, he said angrily, still holding me.

“What?! I didn’t flirt with him. How is saying bye considered as flirting? You are so jealous”.
“Yes I am”, he admitted and I playfully glared at him.

“Now about this girlfriend thing”, I said while folding my arms and giving him a stern look.

“I told you to be my girlfriend”, he said as if it is casual.

“You don’t order me to be your girlfriend. You should ask”.
“No, I won’t.

You are my girlfriend”, he said pulling me against his chest and our chests are touching. I put my hands on his chest.

God, how am I going to make him understand?!
