Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife by Lil’ Bamboo - Season 3 Episode 8
“Y-you came.” Serenity spoke, but her throat felt dry. She moved sideways and let Jackson into the room. “Have you been waiting. Sis?” Jackson smiled and went to the table. Then, he saw the papers spread out on the table. Serenity had left the case file on the table and did not have time to clean up. Jackson’s dark eyes narrowed slightly. He reached out, picked up some of the documents, and glanced at them. “Hmm? Are you looking at the case again?” Serenity stiffened slightly. She did not know his true identity before and had mentioned the case to him. After learning of his real identity, talking about the case again made her feel awkward and helpless. Serenity might think she was not guilty, but the car accident had indeed happened, and his late fiancee had died in the car accident!

“Sis? What’s wrong?” When she did not answer, he looked up at her. “I’m just…” She swallowed and answered, “Casually looking.” “By the way, you mentioned that you were accused and not guilty. Since you’re looking at this information again, are you trying to reopen the case?” Jackson chatted casually, but there was a deep look in his eyes. Serenity bit her lip in deep thought. “Reopen the case? Of course! However, the case witnesses from before had gone missing, and the evidence remained Ironclad. During her three years in jail, Lisa had spent a lot of money, time, and energy to get her conviction overturned but to no avail. Although Serenity was finally out of jail, she was poor. She had had to borrow a thousand dollars for her grandmother’s medical expenses. Serenity had been a lawyer before and knew how much it would cost to hire a lawyer and re-investigate the case. The police would not waste resources to re-investigate the case in the absence of new and strong evidence. Serenity would have to do it on her own, but she lacked the financial capabilities to do so. Serenity suddenly had a thought and turned to Jackson, looking straight at him. “What about you?

Don’t you want to know the truth? Maybe you should find out why your fiancee drove toward me. Is there something going on here? Don’t you want to know why the woman you loved did that?” Jackson suddenly chuckled softly. “Oh? The woman I loved?” His tone was slightly upward as if he had heard a joke. “Mira is your fiancee. Is she not the woman you love?” Serenity found Jackson’s reaction very strange. Jackson put down the documents in his hand and approached her slowly. He looked down at her and divulged, “You’re only half-right, Sis. Mira was my fiancee, but not the woman I loved.” Jackson’s words startled her, and his voice continued ringing in her ears. “Sis? Haven’t you heard of such a thing as an arranged marriage?” Serenity’s eyes widened suddenly. Indeed, she had heard that an arranged marriage was common for business alliances, but she never thought a man like Jackson would need one.. Jackson had the Valor family in his hands and was all-powerful in Salaria. An arranged marriage for business alliances with the Hall family was just icing on the cake, but it was not a necessity. Serenity was not the only one who thought so. Many people thought the same too. There were many discussions about Jackson nulline. Many believed he loved Mira and talked about his deep love for her. Jackson had been engaged to Mira at the young age of 24. He had never dated anyone since Mira’s death, and there was no rumor of him in a relationship either. “But.. An arranged marriage? Weren’t you only 27, years old at that time?” Serenity asked.
