Serenity wandered to the bedside table absentmindedly while she pundered. When her eyes fell on the photo frame on the table, she immediately froze. Her almond–shaped eyes widened in shack.

It was a photo of her!

The problem was, she did not remember ever taking that picture. In the picture, she wasn’t even looking at the camera.

Who took the picture? Why was there a picture of her here? And who lived in this room?…

Someone opened the door. Serenity looked up and saw that it was Jackson.

“Looks like you already found out that the two rooms are connected. Saves me the explanation,” Jackson walled forward with

a smile. His eyes fell on the photo frame Serenity was holding “What do you think of the picture?”

“Why is there a picture of me here?” she asked.

“I asked someone to take it,” he said. He took the photo frame from her hand and put it back on the bedside table. “I miss you dearly when I can’t see you.”

That last part sounded very suggestive.

She shivered and suddenly thought of something. “This is your room?”

“It’s my room, he nodded.

Serenity bit her lip. “Then… give me another room, please.”

“Why? Didn’t you say you’re fine with any room? Besides, we used to sleep next to each other in the rental house. There wasn’t even a door separating us. Why would you have a problem with this arrangement?” asked Jackson.

Serenity bit her lower lip and blushed slightly. She could not help recalling the time they spent together in the rental house. Whenever she looked down from the bed at night, she would see him on the mattress on the floor.

It warmed her originally cold room.

Back then, she could approach him whenever she wanted, but now…

“Sis…” He suddenly bent down and looked at her seriously. “Don’t you know that you shouldn’t show a man that kind of

expression?”

She was startled and came back to her senses. She instinctively tried to back away, but his hand abruptly wrapped around her waist and stopped her from stepping back.

Her body went stiff. “I–It’s getting late. I’m going to wash up and go to bed,” she said. She was worried that he might kiss her again like he did in the rental house….

“Is that so?” he stared at her fixedly.

It was as if his eyes were trying to pierce into her heart and soul. She quickly lowered her head to avoid his gaze.

His eyes were simply too beautiful, so beautiful that they seem to be able to suck a person’s soul and willpower out of them.

He suddenly let go with a little laugh. “It is getting late. I won’t keep you, then.”

Serenity heaved a sigh of relief and left his room in a hurry. After she went back to her own room next door, she dashed into

the bathroom.

Serenity looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. She was blushing, so her cheeks were flushed. Her lips were red and moist. Her almond–shaped eyes were bright and alluring. No wonder Jackson said she should not look at a man like that.

Serenity shook her head to clear her mind, then turned on the faucet and used cold water to cool her burning face. What was wrong with her?! Even though she was powerless against Jackson Valor, she did not have to blush like this!
