In the meeting room.

Ye Moxuan entered the room, followed by Shen Qi; everyone in the room was astonished to see her behind him.

Everyone knew that Xiao Su was the only one to serve Ye Moxuan all these years. Now that a woman appeared at his side out of nowhere, everyone was guessing what relationship this woman had with him.

This was not the first time Shen Qi worked as an assistant, but she had never witnessed such a grand occasion before. Ye Group’s meeting room was extremely spacious. After all, Ye Group was the top leading group in North City.

As soon as she entered the room, Shen Qi felt a strong sense of tension in the room. Feeling the stress, Shen Qi could feel her shoulders tensed up unconsciously upon receiving all kinds of gaze from the others as she entered behind Xiao Su and Ye Moxuan.

When they stopped walking, everyone fixed their gaze on Shen Qi.

“President Ye, she is…” Ye Linhan was Ye Group’s vice president, so it was inevitable that he would join the meeting. At this moment, he felt surprised seeing Shen Qi too.

Shen Qi grabbed the corner of her shirt anxiously to calm herself down. She gradually raised her head and found a gentle look among all the curious gaze from the others.

It was Ye Linhan.

As both of their eyes met, Ye Linhan gave Shen Qi a warm smile and nodded at her.

At this time, Shen Qi felt her nervousness eased by his smile, and she puckered a smile at Ye Linhan.

Shen Qi thought that Ye Linhan was indeed a gentle and kind person.

Despite it being small and insignificant actions, Ye Moxuan noticed them.

A coldness flashed across his eyes, and he squinted his sharp eyes as he replied, “Care worker.”

“Huh?” Everyone was dumbfounded to hear his answer. What does he mean by care worker? Even Shen Qi was confused herself.

“President Ye, who did you say she was?”

Ye Moxuan’s pupils were as dark as night. He slightly raised his brow and answered the one who asked the question, “My grandfather has hired a care worker to take care of my daily needs.”

Listening to such mean and awful remarks, Shen Qi’s face turned pale gradually and lowered her gaze to look at Ye Moxuan.

I’m here to be your assistant. Since when did I become your care worker?

“Coffee.” While she was still in a daze, Ye Moxuan ordered coldly.

Shen Qi was still rooted to the spot. She only reacted to the order when Xiao Su signaled her, thereupon she quickly left the meeting room to make coffee.

When she came back with the coffee, the meeting had already started. Then, she placed the coffee in front of Ye Moxuan.

After taking a sip, Ye Moxuan frowned and commented, “Too sweet! Another!”

Soon, everyone in the meeting room kept hearing Ye Moxuan’s complaint, requesting her to change the coffee over and over again.

“It’s tasteless!”

“Too hot!”

“Too cold!”

Shen Qi went back and forth countless times just because of a cup of coffee. Ye Moxuan had turned the meeting room into a stage to show everyone how he was bullying her. All kinds of gazes from the others made her feel embarrassed.

Just when she was about to burst in anger, she thought of the Shen Family’s condition. As such, she held back and went out to make another cup.

Thud! The coffee cup was placed heavily on the table, startling everyone in the room.

“Is that all you got? And you think you can be my care worker with that kind of efficiency?”

Shen Qi stood at her own position, and her face was pale.

Ye Linhan, who was sitting not far away from them, frowned as he saw this and said, “Moxuan, that’s enough.”

Oh? Is Linhan speaking for her? It seems that this woman is not as simple as I think!

The smile at Ye Moxuan’s lip turned cold. “Are you feeling bad for my care worker? How about I give her to you?”

Shen Qi bit her lips, and her fingers trembled.

He’s too mean! Now I know why he agreed to let me stay. He only wanted to insult me!

He probably perceives me as a woman who insists on marrying a rich person at all costs. That’s why he hates me so much!

“Moxuan, why are you like this? After all, she’s still your—” Before Ye Linhan could expose her identity, Xiao Su butted in and said coldly, “Vice President Ye, don’t you think you’ve meddled too much? President Ye is just teaching her to make good coffee.”

Ye Linhan seemed like he wanted to speak for Shen Qi, but the latter quickly grabbed the chance to talk before he could. “I’ll make another cup of coffee for Young Master Ye.”

With that, she brought the cup and left the meeting room.

One cup, two cups, three cups…

Shen Qi had been running back and forth from the meeting room to the pantry during the entire meeting. Ye Moxuan was not satisfied with her coffee throughout, yet she didn’t complain at all.

She was still making coffee even by the time the meeting had ended.

Xiao Su, who was standing at the side, began to feel bad for her. Seeing that the people in the room had all left, he went to Ye Moxuan’s side and said softly, “Young Master Ye, let’s forget about it. I think we’ve taught her a lesson.”

Ye Moxuan sneered. “This kind of woman won’t give up if she doesn’t receive treatment like this.”

Shen Qi couldn’t remember how many cups of coffee she had made. She was worn out and she couldn’t stand it anymore. When she brought the coffee to the meeting room once again, Ye Moxuan was nowhere to be seen.

Shen Qi placed the coffee cup on the table and left the room immediately.

Just as she reached the first floor, she saw Ye Moxuan’s private car had just left the Ye Group.

She was being left behind once again!
