MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND - Season 2 Episode 86
Located on the north of the city was a training ground.
It was an open field which was privately owned.
Several winding roads were surrounded by blue walls. The routes intersected with one another, and around them were flower beds of different shapes and sizes which separated each pathway. The lawn was lush and green under the scorching sun.
A woman stood in the middle of a road. She was wearing a hospital gown and her hair was all over the place. Her mouth was currently covered with a white cloth, which only allowed her to whimper.
Isabella was tied up. The hair all over her body stood up while her eyes were wide and alert.
A blue Maserati was speeding towards her.
She tried to scream, but only muffled sounds came out of her. Isabella started to shake her head vigorously. Anyone could see the horror in her eyes while her whole body trembled.
The Maserati felt like the devil’s claw as it approached her.
Tears started rolling down her face. She couldn’t speak, so she continued to shake her head instead.
‘No!’
She kept apologizing to Albert in her head.
Isabella knelt on the ground, begging for Albert to spare her life.
She wouldn’t dare to hurt Kristina after this.
Albert glared coldly at the woman and then ordered the driver to speed up.
No one was going to save Isabella. Her breath was hitching as she felt that it was going to be her end.
The only thing she thought she could do at the moment was to fight for her life with everything she got.
Isabella suddenly dropped to the ground. Like a caterpillar, she started wriggling herself until she reached the edge of the lawn.
Her lifeline at the moment was like a candlelight on a windy day.
She definitely didn’t want to die yet.
Isabella ignored the pain due to the friction of her skin rubbing against the rough ground. She continued to pathetically crawl to save herself. Albert had an evil smirk on his face. “It seems that she’s struggling to break free.”
“Sir, if we hit her and she dies, we might get sued for this.” Ford Qiu was a hitman hired by Albert for three years. Now, he was his confidant.
“You’re right,” Albert agreed. However, he didn’t order him to stop. His eyes were glaring daggers at the woman who was still currently struggling on the ground. His eyes lit up as he thought of something. “Don’t run her over.”
She’s smarter than Hailee, so I think we should keep her. She would make a better pawn.”
“Yes, sir.” Ford Qiu gradually slowed down the car’s speed and made a sharp brake the moment he was about to hit Isabella.
The tired screeched and the engine sizzled.
Its sound echoed around the quiet vicinity.
Isabella felt her heart stop. Underneath the cloth, her mouth opened wide in shock causing her to inhale a mouthful of dust.
The car was mere inches away from her body.
She seemed to be frozen in place for a few minutes. All the color was drained from her face and tears started rolling down her cheeks once again.
Muffling sounds only came out of her. She continued to make sounds under the cloth that was covering her mouth.
She actually had tears of joy, having been able to narrowly escape from death.
Since Albert didn’t kill her, she thought that he still cared for her.

Isabella let out muffled cries. She continued to wail and choke in her sobs.
The door of the car opened and Albert came out. As he sauntered towards Isabella, the expression on his face made her tremble in fear. She could clearly hear the sound of his leather shoes tapping against the ground getting louder and louder.
“Isabella, were you scared?” Albert squatted in front of her. Despite his calm smile, his voice sounded threatening. Isabella nodded. Tear stains were all over her face.
She was absolutely terrified.
She gasped for air the moment Albert took the piece of cloth away from her mouth. “Mr. Song, please forgive me! I know I was wrong. I’m really sorry!”
“You know you were wrong?” The smile on Albert’s face didn’t disappear while Isabella nodded vigorously. “Tell me, what did you do wrong? Be careful with your next words. If you lie, I’ll make sure that you won’t be able to speak again.”
Isabella clearly knew what Albert was capable of. “I…I shouldn’t have attempted to hit Kristina with the car.”
Even though she had been honest, the smile on Albert’s face gradually faded. His eyes glared like daggers as he grabbed her by the chin and forced her to look at him.
“Tell me, why did you do that?”
“I…I…” Isabella couldn’t look at Albert. His eyes seemed gentle yet murderous at the same time. “Mr. Song, I…I love you. But why are you having an affair with Kristina?”
“Affair?” Anger riled up inside him at the thought of the woman insulting Kristina.
He grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up from the ground. Isabella tried to grasp for air.
Her face had already turned red due to lack of oxygen. She wasn’t able to move her hands and feet as she struggled helplessly.
“No, no, no…” She was a few seconds away to blacking out. Tears streamed down her face as she continued to struggle with what little strength she had left.
Albert seemed to have lost it as he glared murderously at Isabella. He wanted to strangle her to death for insulting Kristina.
“Sir!” Ford’s voice snapped him out of his stupor. His grip on Isabella’s neck slowly loosened and the color started returning to her now pale face.
After grabbing her harshly by the chin once more, Albert finally let her go. He then bent down to her ear. “Don’t touch Kristina. Don’t dare to insult her either. If I hear anything from you again, I’ll kill your whole family.”
Isabella eyes were wide and alert as she trembled in fear. This was the first time she had seen Albert like this.
The sun’s rays were bright and scorching, yet she didn’t feel any ounce of warmth.
Albert’s voice haunted her. It felt like a cheetah baring its teeth at her. He could tear her apart at any second.
Isabella’s teeth chattered. “I swear, I won’t tell anyone. I swear!”
She was met by a shrill laughter in response. Albert mercilessly slapped her in the face.
“Where did you get the courage to touch my Kristina? Let me tell you something. She’s the most important person to me. I care for her so much that I treat her like she is something fragile. I would give her the best of everything and I will protect her for the rest of my life.”
Albert sent her a death glare. “How dare you touch my precious treasure?”
Isabella stared back helplessly. Albert looked like a monster who was about to devour her.
“I’m sorry! I’m really sorry! I won’t touch Kristina ever again.” He legs wobbled and she found herself leaning back for support.
Albert scoffed at her for looking so pathetic. He detested Isabella for trying to hurt Kristina. A moment later, he finally shoved her to the ground.
Isabella grunted in pain the moment she roughly collided with the hard surface. “Ford, untie the rope for her.” Albert’s eyes were filled with blood lust. “Isabella, let’s play a game. If you win, I’ll let you go. Noah and Mr. Shi won’t know anything about this. How does that sound for you?”
Isabella had mixed emotions on her face. “What game?”
“Don’t you like driving into people?’ Albert stared at the road ahead and smirked.
“Ford will drive the car, while you will try your best to run away from it. If you manage to avoid getting hit, I will keep my promise.”
Isabella stared in horror at the man in front of her. She knew that she couldn’t refuse.
