MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND - Season 2 Episode 70
Hearing this, all the people present were stunned. They all looked at Nina with different expressions.
They stopped what they were doing, except for the department manager and an employee in the corner, who continued to work.
That pause was all took for the hackers to break through another layer of defense.
“Mrs. Shi, we are doing something important. Please don’t disturb us.” The manager was didn’t show any sign of disgust, but his words were full of impatience.
One of the others who had stopped working said, “Mrs. Shi, this is not drawing. You can’t do it at your will.”
When John and Nina’s marriage was exposed, John had especially ordered someone to reveal Nina’s identity as a painter so as to prevent too much public opinion about her.
That was why many people knew that she had a background with art.
With a cold face, Nina ignored other people’s words and continued to pay attention to what the manager was doing. “If I were you, I would first look for the loophole and then lure the hackers to attack. Once they expose their method, I will use it against them to hack their own data.”
“This is the simplest and most efficient way, but it requires a high degree of proficiency in technology and operating speed.” Nina thought for a while and said, “Would you mind if I have a try?”
When the department manager heard this, he looked at Nina in surprise. Henry, on the other hand, seemed to realize something all of a sudden. “That’s right, Mrs. Shi. How did you know? But it requires a high speed and is beyond our ability.”
“So, let me have a try!” Nina looked up at John and asked for his permission.
He stared at his wife with an unnamed emotion before finally nodding his head.
Even Henry thought this method was feasible after all. There was no reason for John to deprive Nina of at least the chance to try.
Nina smiled, like this task was a simple piece of cake for her. She raised her wrist, then stopped short.
There were a lot of people here. It was better not to expose her identity.
“Give me five minutes.” Nina had been paying attention to the hackers’ attacking speed this entire time. Based on her calculations, five minutes should be enough to solve this.
The department manager gave his seat to Nina, but he still looked anxious and was doubtful of her ability.
Her strategy had also crossed his mind, and he possessed the skills to pull it off, too. The problem was that he couldn’t meet the speed it required.
Nina sat in front of the computer. The moment her hands touched the keyboard, she seemed to have changed into another person. There was an insidious quality to her smile, and a mischievous glint in her eyes. She was obviously excited by this.
Of course she was. She could have fun now.
Within the next thirty seconds, Nina was already repairing the defensive loophole. Then she began to coax the hackers to attack. One minute later, she was already the one attacking them, swiftly and accurately. They were no match against her.
The hackers kept on attacking despite repeated setbacks, but they were defeated again and again.
The manager could only stare at the screen and gaze at her with respect.
“The method she’s using to fight against the hackers is similar to the one used by some certain hacker,” Henry muttered to himself, conflicted. It was impossible to presume that Nina and that person were one and the same. He immediately shook the thought off and concentrated on the screen.
The entire IT department was silent, all movements suspended, as they stared at the screen in disbelief.
“We’ve turned the tables and defeated the hackers!”
someone exclaimed. They all looked to the manager’s office with admiration and excitement, but all they could see was the silhouette of a figure through the glass door. They were unable to see how the person did it.
Belatedly, they all felt a wave of regret and shame wash over them.
They hadn’t expected Nina to be so skilled.
John himself wasn’t that well-versed in IT, but he could tell from everyone’s expression that Nina did an excellent job.
With a smug smile, Nina said, “There’s still one more thing to do.”
She had a habit of leaving a mark.

“Mrs. Shi, how did you do that?” The manager was flabbergasted.
Nina smiled and said calmly, “The thing is, these hackers aren’t actually very good at all. You probably couldn’t tell because you rarely handle issues like this, but when you’ve grown familiar with the field, you’ll also be able to take care of such things in a short time.”
“Mrs. Shi, why do you know these things?”
Nina said nothing, only raised her eyebrows and smiled. She wrote down the logo code and pressed send.
As soon as the logo appeared, Henry felt his knees buckle, his legs almost giving out. “El…” he stammered. “You’re awesome! Mrs. Shi, you’re awesome!”
Henry had almost called her Elk, but Nina sent him a warning glare that he corrected himself immediately.
Nina smiled and said, “Give me three more minutes.” She continued her work.
John frowned slightly. He had seen how Henry had promptly clammed up after Nina gave him a look. He could wager a good guess on what the other man was about to say just now.
It turned out that the famous painter Elk and the international hacker Elk were the same person.
She was twenty years old.
And she was his wife.
She had also attacked their system.
At that last thought, John’s expression turned darker, and he exuded a chilly aura.
‘Nina, just who the hell are you?
Did you approach me on purpose? What happened in the Four Seasons Garden Hotel, was it a trap all along?’
“Mrs. Shi, what are you doing?” The manager looked at Nina and couldn’t believe his eyes.
She had actually improved the security system.
“I’m fortifying your defensive function. No hacker will succeed in attacking the system in the future, unless they’re someone whose skills surpass mine.”
“Mrs. Shi, you are the best of the best.” The manager’s admiration for her was beyond words. He looked up to her like a fan meeting his idol. He boldly said, “Mrs. Shi, can I ask you questions in the future?”
“Sure.” Nina was very friendly to people who had the same interests as her and who she didn’t dislike at the first sight. Besides, the manager was not without talent, he just didn’t know much about hacking technology just yet.
“Really? That’s great.”
“No.” John refused coldly. His wariness of his wife dissipated when she began to strengthen their company system’s defenses.
Now that he was back to his usual self, seeing some other man speaking so fondly to Nina was making him angry Sensing what was going on, Henry winked subtly at the manager. ‘She’s Mrs. Shi. You’d better shut up now. Otherwise you might regret what happens next.’
Fortunately, the manager received the message loud and clear and kept silent immediately.
Nina turned to look at her husband, knowing all too well why he protested. Then she smiled and said, “He doesn’t allow me to do that.”
“It’s settled then. Let’s go.” John pulled Nina up and put his arm around her as they walked, as if to declare their relationship to everyone.
“Wait!” Nina stopped them in their tracks and put both hands against his chest. “Don’t you want to know who the mole in the department is?”
She glanced at the staff outside the glass of the manager’s office. The door was not closed shut and her words had already carried over to them.
In truth, she was itching to see who it was that dared to betray John.
If her husband had gone bankrupt because of this hacking incident, he would not be able to support her. That would be a little troublesome.
So she felt it only right to hunt down this hidden traitor.
