MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND - Season 2 Episode 69
Just as the night was deepening and everyone was in utter mayhem, Nina fled.
With the help of her brother, she successfully escaped from the security guards and left the C Island. As it happened, she got on the luxury yacht and ran into Sam on the deck.
Sam seemed to have not been feeling well. He fainted so Nina had to carry him until she could find a doctor.
He instantly recognized Nina, the precious princess of C Island. It only took one look at her face for him to figure out that she had run away from home.
Nina, as observant as she was, was able to put two and two together—Sam was no ordinary person. So she made a deal with him.
Sam would help her hide her identity in exchange for her signing a marriage agreement with his youngest son for three years.
He had mentioned that his son was studying abroad and would be back home in two years. They would have an entire year to develop their relationship. If they were unable to, they could freely divorce.
Nina agreed to this, lured under the desire of leaving as soon as possible. In the past two years, she had kept a low profile, living a peaceful and quiet life. It wasn’t until she had met John that her calm heart rippled.
John’s sudden appearance was like the sunset glow in the sky, magnificent and dazzling.
Needless to say, he oozed charm. “We’re here. This is Time Group.” The taxi driver’s words snapped Nina out of her daze.
She stepped out of the car and headed towards the elevator. Anxiety surged through her as tears brimmed at the corner of her eyes.
Not long after, the elevator doors opened.
Meanwhile, John had just come out of the meeting room. He seemed surprised when he saw Nina.
She threw herself into his arms and began crying softly.
“John, I miss you.”
The conference room where the board members often held their meetings was right next to the president’s office. Thus when the meeting wrapped up, a group of board members were following behind John.
They all smiled meaningfully when they saw what was happening.
“This way, please.” Henry immediately led the group to the employees’ elevator to give John and Nina some privacy.
A flush of embarrassment tinted Nina’s face when she heard the bustle of footsteps. She was so anxious to see John that it had completely slipped her mind that other people were present as well.
She bashfully buried her head in John’s chest.
She rarely ever did something like this.
Frowning, he rubbed her back and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I may have missed you a little bit.” Nina shook her head and held him tighter.
Smiling, John bent down and embraced Nina tighter, letting her bury her head in his neck. With that, they headed into his office.
He felt her hot tears on his neck, piercing his heart.
Nine was crying.
It had been more than a month since the last time she had cried.
John parked himself on the sofa with Nina still sitting on his lap. She still had her arms looped around his neck, refusing to let him go as more tears came.
“Why are you crying?” He tried to pull her away but she tightened her grip on him. She didn’t want him to see her crying. To her knowledge, this was the first time that she had cried in front of a man that wasn’t her brother.
It was so embarrassing.
Despite this, that didn’t change the fact that she just needed to cry for a while.
John was at a loss. “Do you want to tell me why you’re crying?”
Nina shook her head, refusing to answer as the tears continued to flood out. It pained him to see her like this.

“Tell me.” He was so worried that he forcibly pulled her away from him. He needed to know what was going on. With that, she bent over and kissed him on the lips so he wouldn’t see her tear-stained face.
She didn’t want him to see her like this—an utter mess.
Nina suddenly bit John.
Taken aback, he was aroused as things began heating up.
Passionate as they were, they began consuming each other.
Legs intertwined, they relished each other.
Rapid breathing could be heard throughout the room.
A knock came on the door, disrupting them.
Henry continued knocking on the door. Nina and John then froze upon hearing this.
“Mr. Shi, it’s urgent. Something terrible has happened!” Henry said anxiously. Since it was an emergency, he pushed the door open only to find the two entangled with each other.
He quickly closed his eyes, turned around, and closed the door.
However, the matter at hand was pressing.
He made a quick judgment that the company was more important than John’s love life.
“Mr. Shi, this is an emergency. Someone’s stealing the confidential information of the company.” He braced himself, ready to be punished by John. He heard some murmuring inside the office before the door was opened once more.
Looking solemn, John asked, “Who is it?”
This wasn’t the first time that he was interrupted in the middle of something important.
Henry had broken out into a cold sweat. He wiped it away and answered, “Two hackers are attacking us. They’re quite skilled and very fast. We also can’t get a hold of Mr. Sam Shi.”
This was the reason why he came here right away.
“Hackers again?” John was fuming. It seemed that hackers had taken a liking to playing tricks on him.
If he was lucky enough to catch one, he wouldn’t hold back on giving them the punishment that they deserved.
Upon hearing this, Nina’s eyes glinted boldly. She held John’s hand. “I’m coming with you.”
“You?” John eyed her from head to toe rather cautiously. Her identity was a mystery after all.
Nina could understand why John hesitated. After all, this was a matter of the company’s confidential information.
However, very few could compare to her skills.
She promised, “I won’t tell anyone.”
John then took Nina to the IT department. The department manager was a spirited man who was in this 30s. He typed away on the keyboard trying to ward off the attacks.
Nina recognized at a glance that the manager was the legend at the information science department of L University. He was a genius.
Even a genius like him couldn’t withstand an attack like this. He was already sweating. He seemed confident at first but as the hackers continued to attack, his confidence wavered as it was replaced with worry.
Everyone in the IT department was busy. After skimming the room with his sharp eyes, John let go of Nina’s hand and walked towards the department manager. A red warning was flashing on the screen which indicated the severity of the situation.
The IT department was comprised of nine people. They all looked serious as their eyes were glued on their computer screens. It was obvious that they were having trouble operating smoothly. Some had stopped which could only mean that their defenses had failed.
Nina quietly approached the manager. It didn’t take long for her to figure out the defensive loophole.
Obviously, the hackers had taken advantage of the defensive loophole. The defensive loophole was hidden very skillfully. Not anyone would be able to figure it out.
With this in mind, Nina concluded, “There’s a spy among you.”
