MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND - Season 2 Episode 65
John took Nina to his brother’s house for dinner.
Jason returned home with his then-unconscious wife, and it was not long before she woke up.
As soon as she did, the woman burst into tears. She held Jason in her arms and sobbed, “Honey, everyone is getting on to me. My sister-in-law, my brother, and even my father have joined in.”
“Honey, don’t cry.” Jason wiped her tears gently, kissed her cheek lovingly, and pulled her into his arms to try and comfort her.
When she calmed down, Jason pulled away from his wife and the two sat face to face.
“We need to talk, honey.”
“Okay, about what?” Jessica sobbed. She wiped her tears and looked at her husband’s serious expression. Looking at her husband’s serious face, she suddenly felt mistreated. With tearful eyes, she bit her lips and asked, “Let me guess. You’re defending Nina?”
Jason felt helpless. He was a university professor, and his students listened to him. His wife did not. She was still self-centered and didn’t think about things very deeply.
But what could he do? He had to teach his wife.
“Hey now. Don’t get me wrong.” Jason picked up a tissue to wipe more tears from her face. “That’s not what I’m doing. I just want you to think about why your family are taking Nina’s side instead of yours.
John likes Nina. You can dismiss it by saying he’s hot for her, but that doesn’t explain your sister-in-law. She didn’t even know Nina. She was just protecting her son, which meant that wasn’t the case for James and Nina. It might seem that James’ parents don’t care about James.
They just let John deal with him. But no, they’re all concerned about James, and they know everything that’s going on with him.”
Jason spoke in a gentle voice, and his eyes were sincere. Jessica began to listen carefully and she started to get the bigger picture.
After thinking for a while, she felt that what her husband said was right. She tried to avoid eye contact with him and said, “So it’s not true? But a student at L University said so.”
“A student? Really? Which one?” Jason got right to the point.
They didn’t know it, but Vivian was eavesdropping. She became agitated and nervous, tightening her fists as she listened.
After thinking for a while, Jessica replied, “Isabella Zhang.”
Hearing what she said, Vivian breathed a sigh of relief.
Jason frowned and finally understood what happened. “Someone set a trap for you, honey.”
“A trap? You mean Isabella?” Jessica asked doubtfully, raising her voice.
“The one and only.” Jason nodded and sat next to Jessica, putting his arm around her shoulder. “Henry told me.
Isabella and Nina were good friends, but Isabella set Nina up. She got Nina and John together. One thing led to another and they ended up in bed. Isabella took pictures of the couple and posted them online. Besides, Isabella likes Albert.”
When he said this, he believed his wife could follow along and figure it out.
Jessica asked, “Even if that’s true, Nina’s just a country girl. She doesn’t deserve John.”
There was pregnant pause, and things got tense between them. He finally got her to understand, but she still cared about Nina’s social status.
Looking at his wife’s obtuse expression, Jason couldn’t help but come up with an idea. “If I weren’t born into the Fu family, would you still marry me?”
As soon as he asked that, he regretted it.
How could he say that to test his wife? He should trust her that she loved him for who he was, not for his money.

“Never mind. Forget I said anything.” Jason took back what he had just said. Without noticing his emotion, Jessica retorted with a smile, “Are you kidding? How could you not be born into the Fu family? You’re their kid, and they raised you. Don’t talk like that. Your surname is Fu and you’re my husband.
Hey, I’m not feeling good. I’m going to lie down.” Jessica still felt she’d been treated unfairly, and went upstairs with a severe headache.
The woman in his arms suddenly left. A gust of cold wind blew into the empty room, which soured Jason’s mood. After a while, he raised his head and looked at the stairs. She was upstairs, in her room. He was upset.
He stood up and walked out. He wanted to apologize to his brother and sister-in-law.
Before he entered the room, he smelled the fragrance of the food and heard their joyful laughter.
Dora pulled Nina up from the sofa, and took one of the curtains and placed it in Nina’s hand. She said expectantly, “Aunt Nina, Aunt Nina!
Can you show me how you saved my mom again? You’re so cool! I think you’re the best!”
Nina smiled and looked at John with pleading eyes. This was her fifth demonstration. Her hands were so sore.
The man sitting on the sofa got the message. He put down the newspaper, uncrossed his legs, and waved his hand. Before he could say a word, Nina said, “I’m coming. I’m coming.” She wore a knowing smile.
She sat next to John and shyly pushed the pot to John. “Dora, your uncle John wants me to sit with him for a while.” Dora pouted, “Okay.”
Reluctantly, she handed the curtain to the servant and whispered, “Uncle John, why are you always around Aunt Nina? She wouldn’t run away, right?”
John patted his leg, motioning for Nina to sit down.
With her eyes wide, Nina thought, ‘Is he crazy? Sitting on his lap in front of the kids? Isn’t that setting the worst example for them?’
“What are you doing?” Nina pretended not to understand.
John chuckled and patted his lap once more.
Finally, he lifted her up, setting her on his lap. Then he held her in his arms, and picked up the newspaper as if nothing had happened.
Sitting nearby, James covered his eyes and shook his head. “Get a room, you two!”
Nina blushed and tried to get off of him, but she failed. Instead, she heard the man’s hoarse warning. “Don’t move.”
His voice was thick, and it sounded a little forced. Nina had already been through a lot, so she knew what was going on. She knew that if she moved, it could get even more embarrassing.
So she froze in place, hoping she didn’t have to do that for long.
Nina cursed in her heart and whispered in the man’s ear, “Not here! Everyone’s staring.
So can you restrain yourself a little bit?”
“So? They’re all adults,” John said in a serious tone, ignoring the presence of their nephew. He didn’t care what anyone else thought.
Besides, he did nothing.
Was there anything wrong with letting his wife sit on his lap?
However, Nina was still embarrassed. After hearing the footsteps, she escaped from the man’s body and sat on the sofa. She tidied up her hair, looking guilty. Jason walked in.
After apologizing to Angela and Daniel, he apologized to Nina and the others with sincere words and a gentle smile. Then he left, looking a little lonely.
