MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND - Season 2 Episode 100
Nina didn’t hear any answer, so she only felt more confused.
She never assumed anything about the people around her, she would just wait for them to speak their minds.
She was willing to change for the one she cared about though.
She was willing to change herself for John’s sake.
She cared about John more than anything. He gave her a new lease on life so she was eternally grateful.
She felt loved by him, and the feeling she felt for him was just as beautiful. “John, what did I do to make you angry?” Nina was rarely submissive, but she wanted to make this situation right.
She needed to know where John was yesterday, so she could put all the pieces together.
If there was a misunderstanding, they would almost certainly lie to each other.
Nina had to find out why John was being so cold towards her.
John froze, staring at the pen in his hand. He finally looked up at Nina standing in front of him.
Her black hair fell down her shoulders like a waterfall, revealing her delicate face. Her bright eyes were full of affection while she stared back at him. She asked her questions so carefully, fearing that she would anger John.
She wore a light tint of makeup with the lipstick that John liked very much. She dressed modestly, not revealing any skin on her arms or legs.
John loved when she dressed like this.
He wanted to be the only one that was allowed to see his little girl.
Usually he would be thrilled that Nina was so obedient.
Today was a different story though.
As soon as something happened to the Song Group, Nina happened to appear. Not only was she being unnaturally attentive, but she was also on her best behavior.
‘My little girl, are you trying to get on my good side?
What are you trying to get from this flattery?
Are you trying to get some information for Albert?
Huh?’ With a slight scoff, he waved over at her and gestured towards himself.
“Come here.”
Every time Nina saw John do this and heard his melodic bellow, she couldn’t help but get hypnotized by him and listen to his every word.
“Sit here.” John moved his chair back and patted his lap.
‘What’s wrong with him today?’
He sounded heartless even though his actions were so normal.
John often liked her to sit on his lap, hold her in his arms and do a number of other things.
He would always have a gentle smile on his face as well.
Now however, he was as blank as a robot. He mechanically gave her orders with his stiffened body.
“No,” Nina refused. She didn’t like this version of John. There was coldness, alienation, and even a trace of frivolity in his voice.
Nina took a step back and said, “I’m here to ask you something. Where did you go after you left North Yard last night?”
A cold light flashed in John’s eyes as his face darkened.
Nina wasn’t keeping up the facade anymore.
Last night, he caused Albert’s company to lose one billion dollars, and today she came to blame him.
He was furious.
“I don’t know.” John’s voice was lifeless. He tucked his chair back into the table and refused to look at Nina again.
“You don’t know?” Nina knew something was wrong. How could John not know where he was?

What was wrong with him?
Was it really that easy for him to change? Nobody could switch up like that unless something major happened in their lives.
‘Did he really kill Aunt Kristina?
No, he wouldn’t.’
Nina immediately shook off the thought, pursed her lips, walked to his side and squatted down. She didn’t know it, but she was showing a sign of weakness.
Her small hand climbed onto John’s arm as she looked up at him. Her eyes were innocent and expectant. Nina said softly, “John. If I did anything wrong, tell me and I can fix it.”
Through his clothes, John could feel Nina’s warmth flowing into his body like a ray of sunshine. Her hand was like a marshmallow pressing against his body. She gently placed it on his arm with her fingers occasionally twitching, making him tremble slightly.
He couldn’t help but realize how much he missed her touch.
He missed the feeling of her sleeping on his arm every night.
His heart suddenly pounded.
“Now I need you to tell me where you went and who was with you after you left North Yard last night. It’s very important to me,” Nina continued, her eyes beaming with sincerity.
‘John, you must tell me, so that I can find your alibi and prove your innocence.
I’ll be able to investigate Kristina’s death without any distractions.’
John’s heart was as hard as iron. He refused to tell her anything, fearing she’d go report to Albert.
The situation in Lexingport City was very complicated. The three families, the Ye family, the Shi family and the Song family, had always been in tripartite confrontation to maintain such prosperity. This balance was everything and it would be disastrous if it all fell apart now.
So he dealt with the Song Group in the name of one of his foreign partners yesterday.
Albert must have found out somehow, that was why he sent Nina to find out if this had something to do with the Time Group.
As long as John was suspicious of Nina, there was no chance of any warmth towards her. He looked at her as nothing more than an enemy and the venom in his eyes could be released at any moment.
It was only Nina that could cause him such anguish.
“Important? How important is it?” John lowered his head and looked down at the girl squatting beside him. He stretched out his arms and lifted her up, placing her on the table.
All the documents fell to the floor, with a loud crash echoing throughout the room.
John stood up and slammed on the table. His steely face got close to Nina’s and he asked, “The most important thing for you is to find out where I went last night? Then you can go back and tell him, right?”
John gritted his teeth.
How could John know?
Noah hid the news of Kristina’s death. How did he know that she was going to report back to Noah about John’s whereabouts?
The wicked interrogation from this heartless man left Nina feeling as cold as ice.
Nina was shocked that John knew what she was doing. Her jaw dropped as she opened her eyes in horror.
Her shock only further confirmed John’s deepest fear. She had to have come here because Albert sent her.
It was one thing to be a suspicion, but seeing it with his own eyes felt like dagger plunged into his heart.
“Nina, I really underestimated you,” John sneered, looking over at Richard.
With one swift blow to the back of her neck, Nina started feeling dizzy.
“You…” Nina looked at the man in front of her in disbelief.
Before she could muster a full sentence, she fainted.
John carefully caught Nina, stopping her from falling backwards. He carried her and returned to North Yard.
Even if she was one of Albert’s spies, she was still his woman.
If he was going to tie her up, it should be done back at their home.
