MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 4 Episode 8
“Please enjoy your noodles.” Linn placed the bowl of noodles in front of Nina and pointed at the heart-shaped fried egg placed carefully on top. “Evelyn asked me to make this for you. She wanted to greet you a happy birthday.”
“Evelyn?” She looked around and saw Evelyn staring at her. As soon as Nina’s eyes met hers, she looked away.
A soft smile appeared on Nina’s lips. “Thank you, Evelyn.”
Evelyn looked up and saw Nina’s gentle expression. Her lips slowly curved upward and she opened her mouth, but Nina couldn’t hear any sound coming out.
Nina still remained smiling at her. Although she wasn’t able to hear Evelyn, she could tell based on the movement of her lips that she was trying to say “No worries.”
She thought that Evelyn was adorable. Looking at the girl made her wish she had a daughter.
“You’d better eat those noodles or they will end up getting cold.” Noah’s voice interrupted her train of thought.
Nina glanced down at the noodles and found them appetizing. She grabbed a pair of chopsticks and started digging in.
It didn’t take long for her to be able to finish it up.
“This is quite delicious,” Nina commented. She picked up a spoon and took another sip from the bowl.
She wasn’t aware that Ford had been watching her all this time. As soon as she was done with her noodles, he looked away.
Dr. Wendy was able to prepare a catalyst for fear of the Memory Charm not being able to take effect immediately.
There was only a small bottle of the catalyst. Ford didn’t want to risk it, so he only placed two drops in the soup.
Now, he could only wait. He honestly hoped that there would be an effect on Nina’s memory.
He didn’t want to use up all the contents of the bottle unless it was necessary. The sun was still out when they were done with their dinner.
Nina enjoyed bid goodbye to Evelyn before leaving.
She wasn’t aware that Ford was following her from a safe distance.
Noah, on the other hand, tried to offer Nina a ride home. For him, it was not safe for a girl to go home alone at night.
Since today was a special day for Nina, Noah suspected that there was a surprise waiting for her at North Yard. He tried to steal a glance at her out of the corner of his eye. A flash of sadness appeared on his face and it disappeared as quickly as it came.
Noah had rarely paid attention to such particular feelings before. Now, however, he found himself quite sensitive to them.
He didn’t even know when this had all started. Every time he caught himself staring at Nina, his heart would skip a beat.
“Nina, let me drive you home,” he offered.
Nina showed him a polite smile. “Thank you, but I drove myself here. Don’t worry about me.” She took out the car keys from her bag and pressed the remote. Her car which was parked on the roadside flashed its light.
“Alright,” Noah said.
He accompanied Nina to her car. Both of them weren’t aware of Ford who was currently looking at them from a distance. There was a trace of worry in his eyes as he watched Nina.
Ford had his brows furrowed. Perhaps the Memory Charm didn’t take effect on Nina. Maybe the research and development had probably failed. Or maybe it was because he had only placed two drops of the catalyst in Nina’s food.
Watching Nina heading to the driver’s seat of the car, Ford panicked. He thought that his plan was going to fail.
Suddenly, there was a commotion. A thief grabbed a chubby girl’s bag and made a run for it. The girl shouted at the man and tried to chase him.
Unfortunately for the man, he was heading to Noah and Nina’s direction.
Nina stretched her leg out and the man tripped on it. He lost his balance and came stumbling towards Noah. Noah caught him just in time and used the man’s coat as a rope to tie his hands behind his back.
“Let me go! Do you know who my boss is? My boss is…”
Noah took out his ID and showed it to the man, which made him shut his mouth abruptly.
The owner of the bag kept on shouting at the thief to stop while she ran after him. When she spotted that someone had caught the man, she was so relieved that she forgot to slow down and crashed into Nina.
“Nini, watch out!” Noah yelled.
Nina turned around. Before she could process what was happening, the girl came crashing into her.

Even though the girl wanted to stop on time, she wasn’t able to. She ended up shoving Nina to the ground.
Noah tried to grab them with both arms to stop them from falling.
The distraction gave the thief an opportunity. As soon as Noah let go of him, the man started to run away.
“Noah, he’s escaping!” Nina pointed over to the direction of the thief running away.
Luckily, there were a lot of people around. They managed to catch him and escorted him back.
Nina breathed a sigh of relief.
Since everything had settled down, Noah helped Nina up.
“Are you okay, Nini?” He scanned her body for injuries.
“I’m fine.” Nina felt weird after shaking her head. It was as if a smoke bomb had gone off inside her brain.
It was only subtle, but she knew that something was wrong.
The thief noticed Nina feeling troubled, so he ran in her direction and tried to escape once again.
Nina still felt a bit dizzy when the man bumped into her shoulder. Several weird scenes played on her mind.
Seeing that Nina was well taken care of by the chubby girl, Noah left to catch the thief. He made some calls to the police station and escorted the man to the police car.
The girl apologized profusely to Nina and Noah. She held her bag securely around her arm and thanked them once again before leaving.
Nina looked like she was in a daze. She gave the girl a slight nod and rubbed her temples.
“What’s wrong?” Noah asked. His eyes were filled with concern as he checked on Nina.
Nina frowned. “It’s strange. I feel like I’m a little dizzy but at the same time I’m not. This is so weird.”
Noah furrowed his brows. None of Nina’s words made sense to him.
“Did you hit your head a while ago?” He placed a hand on her temples and tried to gently rub them. “Maybe you’re getting a headache because of the cold weather. Does it hurt over here?”
“I don’t know.” Nina’s frown deepened. She had an inexplicable feeling in her chest. It was as if she losing something important to her.
Her answer didn’t help Noah at all. He decided to assist her inside the car.
“Let’s go to the hospital right now.”
Since they had to walk for a bit to the parking area, Noah was worried that Nina would not be able to walk steadily because of her headache.
Noah always kept a proper distance from Nina and had no choice but to pull her sleeve to assist her. He didn’t even touch her hand.
Nina kept her head down and stared blankly at Noah’s hand. She felt like she was in a deep trance.
She grabbed Noah’s hand and rubbed her temple with her other hand. Then, she shook her head slightly and looked up at the man beside her.
The man looked like he was her husband, but at the same time he wasn’t.
She blinked a few times and stared at Noah. Maybe, he was indeed her husband.
“Let’s go, honey. My head hurts,” Nina mumbled with a confused expression. Noah’s eyes widened.
He suddenly felt weak. It was as if an electric current was spreading throughout his body.
Nina’s soft voice as she blurted out the word “honey” echoed through his head. Noah had only seen Nina behave that way in front of John.
His mouth was slightly opened in surprise as he stared back at Nina. She just called him “honey.”
