MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 94
Richard, Lena and Amy walked up to John. “What should we do next, Mr. Shi?” he asked John.
He was worried that if John could not take his wife home tonight, he would stay here for the entire night like last time.
And he even failed to bring her back the next day.
Lena frowned and came up with an idea. “I’ll kick the door open.”
John turned his head at her.
Richard knitted his brows.
Amy was speechless. “When did you learn this?”
“Mrs. Shi once said that whoever or whatever blocks our way should be beaten by our hands or kicked by our feet.” Lena told them what Nina had told her before. “Otherwise, our kung fu will be rusty.”
The corner of John’s mouth twitched slightly.
It was really his wife’s style.
Amy cleared her throat to hide her embarrassment. Lena squared her shoulders. She spoke like Nina just now, confident and determined.
It was then that Richard realized that Nina’s influence was really extraordinary. Even James began to beat people despite his poor fighting skills.
Just now, Adrian said that John threatened him with a chair.
“What do you say, Mr. Shi? Should I kick the door Open or not?” Lena rolled up her sleeves and was about to bust the door.
Amy shook her head and said, “Are you sure you’re strong enough to snap the hinges? This is a heavily bolted security door.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Lena conceded.
John said calmly, “We’ll wait.” Leon would not lie to him. He told him to wait, so he would.
The four of them stood by outside.
In the apartment
Seeing that only Wynn came in, Nina craned her neck to look at the front door, but Leon had already closed it.
She pursed her lips and bit back her question.
Leon was able to guess what she was thinking. “He’s outside. I asked him to wait for a moment.”
“Okay.” Knowing that John was outside, Nina smiled. She could not wait to see him.
Leon turned to look at Wynn and asked, “Have you brought it here?”
“Yes, here it is.” Wynn raised a bottle in the air. The white logo on it showed an artistically rendered profile of a smiling girl with long hair and long eyelashes.
The girl in the logo was inspired by Nina, and the logo was for a brand of red wine called Tipsy, which Leon himself created especially for his sister.
The bottle Wynn brought was Tipsy’s, but the red wine inside had already been replaced with regular red wine, one that would get Nina drunk.
Leon knew that his sister got drunk easily, and then she beat people up like crazy.
He was the first one to find out about that, so he suffered a lot.
At that time, Wynn wanted to help him, but he was also beaten up. It was not that he could not win against Nina. He simply did not dare.
In the end, they had to rest for at least three days to recover.
Leon looked at the bottle of wine and smiled weirdly.
“Nini, this is the red wine I’ve made for you. You won’t get drunk. I wanted to give it to you for your eighteenth birthday, but after you left, I didn’t have the chance. Tonight, we shall make up for lost time.”
“Yes,” Nina nodded. “Mimi knows where they are.”
“Okay.” Leon turned to Michelle. “Michelle, can you grab four wine glasses for us?”
“Sure. Give me a minute.” Michelle turned around and went to the kitchen.
Nina did not drink habitually. She just thought that there should be wine glasses at home, so she bought some.
She did not use them often. They were just sitting in the cabinet waiting to be taken out. They had been there so long that dust had settled on them. Michelle had to wash them with water before they could be used.
Wynn went to help.
Michelle asked, “I heard Leon call you Wynn. Do you have a brother or an uncle?”
The reason why Michelle thought Paul was Wynn’s uncle was that Paul was always slovenly and untidy just like a middle-aged man.
Wynn’s hands froze. He knew this girl would eventually ask him.
He simply shrugged and answered, “I have a brother named Paul.” He had to lie.
“Oh, that makes sense.” Michelle finally got her answer. “He’s my master. Since you’re his brother, should I call you Uncle from now on?”
“What? Call me Uncle?” Wynn almost dropped the glass he was washing in the sink. “You can call me by my name. I’m only in my early 20s. I’m not even that much older than you are. It will be weird if you call me Uncle.”

“I guess you’re right,” Michelle chuckled. “I’ll just call you Wynn then.”
“That’s better,” Wynn nodded. ‘As long as you don’t call me Uncle or recognize me,’ he thought.
“These glasses are clean now. Let’s go.” Wynn dried the glasses, turned around, and walked out. Michelle followed suit. Leon filled the wine glasses, and the four had a toast.
At first, Michelle just took a sip. The wine tasted so good that she took another sip and then drank the whole glass in one gulp.
Meanwhile, Nina drank half a glass in one gulp.
Wynn was stunned. He thought that John was doomed.
The red wine was very strong. Soon, Nina would be drunk and beating the hell out of people.
“Nini, don’t you think you should slow down?” Leon was also worried. He was afraid that his sister would beat him up here first before he could send her out. If that happened, he, Wynn, and Michelle would suffer.
“But you said I wouldn’t get drunk with this wine,” Nina said with a pout. “But I think this red wine is no different from the red wine I have drunk before.”
Leon swallowed, gritted his teeth, and poured Nina another glass. “If you drink a little more, you may taste something different.”
“Okay.” Nina downed another glass. Leon and Wynn stared at her vigilantly, waiting for a reaction.
“How are you feeling, Nini?”
“Umm…” Nina frowned. She had had too much to drink. She could feel her cheeks heating up and her tongue feeling leaden. Her vision started turning blurry. “I feel dizzy,” she blurted out.
“Dizzy?” Leon put down his glass, stood up, and gave Wynn a look.
Wynn also put down his wine from which he just took a little sip, stood up, and walked toward the door like a gust of wind.
“Come here, Nini. Let me help you.” Leon helped his sister up, turned her around, and led her toward the door.
Michelle tilted her head and asked, “Where are you taking Nini?”
“John’s waiting for her outside,” Leon replied.
“Oh, Uncle John is here!” Michelle smiled but did not ask anymore. She smacked her lips twice and poured herself another glass of red wine.
Seeing Leon and Nina headed to the door, Wynn cracked it open.
“Here she is.” Leon pushed his sister into John’s arms. “If you let my sister get hurt tonight, I’ll take her away tomorrow.”
After saying that, he slammed the door shut.
“Something will happen in ten seconds,” Wynn said, pressing his ear against the door.
“Ten, nine, eight…” “Four, three…”
Bang!
Boom!
“Ouch!”
Howling and colliding sounds erupted from behind the door.
Leon and Wynn looked at each other and said in unison, “It starts.”
Then, they heard snapping bones and pained grunts.
The two cringed at the ugly sound.
“If John doesn’t fight back and lets Nini beat him until she’s sober, I will no longer stop them from being together.” Leon chuckled.
He knew very well how cruel his sister could be.
She could break other people’s ribs without trying that hard.
“Good luck, John.” Wynn listened to the noise outside intently.
It was indeed a tragic scene outside, but it was not what they thought.
John stood by the door, safe and sound.
He had his hands leisurely stuffed into his pockets. He glanced at the closed door, complacency shining in his mischievous eyes.
‘Sorry to let you down.
I’m the only one my wife doesn’t hit when she’s drunk,’ he smugly thought.
The next second, after Nina finished beating Amy and Lena, she walked toward John.
John’s heart skipped a beat.
He took out his hands and stood straight.
He had a triumphant smile on his face.
