MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 93
Buzz! Buzz!
Leon’s phone vibrated in his pocket as it rang.
Wynn was calling
“They found me.” Wynn raised his head to look at the man in front of him. “I think John is on his way to you.”
“I see.” Without any surprise, Leon walked out of the kitchen and stood on the balcony. “I’ll send you my location. Bring a bottle of Tipsy here. But replace the liquid in it with normal wine, okay?” “I’ll be there soon.” Wynn nodded.
After hanging up the phone Leon sat beside Nina.
After a moment, he asked, “Nini, do you really like John that much?”
Facing her brother’s intense eyes, Nina shook her head and said, “No. The word ‘like’ is too light.”
There was determination in Nina’s eyes. She remembered the days that she and John had spent together. She said firmly, “Leon, I love him.
I miss him every day recently and especially right now. I was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to find me in this time limit you’ve given, so I told him to figure out the meaning behind your words. He’s very smart. He must have sent his men to look for Wynn and he himself is on his way here.”
Leon was surprised by the raw love that Nina confessed. He sighed and said, “You know him well.”
“Not really.” Nina smiled. “I don’t know everything about him but that only makes me want to get to know him even more. Every day I want to learn more and more so the next day I’m closer to him than the last.”
For a moment, Leon didn’t know how to answer her. He just saw the love in his sister’s eyes, and could only accept her choice.
Leon asked at last, “Does he love you? I don’t need to hear what he’s said or promised, I want to know what he’s done for you.”
Nina turned her body and faced Leon. “Leon, you know what? John is my hero. He saved me two times when I was in real danger.”
“Maybe you are moved by him, but this is not love,” Leon said. “You’re just a little girl. You came to a strange place and got into some trouble. He helped you so it’s understandable that you’re grateful to him. But don’t mistake that for love.”
“No Leon, I’m sure of it.” Nina had never doubted her feelings for John for even a second. “Once, someone pushed me down from the third floor. John instinctively jumped to save me, holding me in his arms.
He was worried about me as much as I was worried about him. Our love is mutual. I’m sure he loves me too.”
Leon was shocked into a silence.
Nina continued to say, “You love Valerie, don’t you? In the past, I didn’t understand why you were so adamant to keep her by your side. Even when John thought I was a spy, he locked me in North Yard and wanted me by his side. At that point, I finally understood the love you had for Valerie.
I couldn’t even blame John.
Valerie once jumped into the sea, and you followed her without hesitation. You used all your strength to save her, right?
John had risked his life to save me, and he had been injured and hospitalized for a long time.
Can’t you see how similar he is to you, Leon?”
Leon looked at his sister blankly. His eyes turned red, with sadness filling them to the brim. Reluctantly, he said, “Yes.”
He paused for a few seconds. “I let her go after that.”
“Because you love her, you would rather suffer than make her stay.” Nina held her brother in her arms. “I’m sorry, Leon. I shouldn’t have brought it up. I just want to show you that John loves me. You need to know that I’ll live a great life here.”
Leon tried to catch his breath through his sobs. He patted his sister’s back and moved her away. He touched her head with a smile and said, “Nini, you’ve grown up. You are no longer a child.
I’m still afraid that he’s going to let you go one day. They say mature men know how to take care of their wives. But they weigh up pros and cons and always look out for themselves first.
You’re only twenty years old. You are willing to do everything for love, but he won’t. He won’t abandon everything because of love. He’s too old to give everything up.
Nini, I’m really scared. When I am not with you, nobody will protect you. Although you’re really tough, some people may be much sneakier.
Even if you figure them out, you won’t get back at them in a roundabout way. You are a straightforward girl. What if you end up in more trouble?
In this world, except the people you trust, nobody is going to take your side blindly.
Most of the time people make snap judgments and that may not help you. And sometimes verbal violence causes much more damage than you think.”

“Leon…” Nina bit her lips and didn’t dare to blink. Tears filled her eyes and she didn’t want them to drop.
She hated crying.
No matter how badly hurt her body was, she would not shed a tear. The only thing that ever brought her to tears, was emotions.
“Well, my silly sister, don’t cry. You don’t look very attractive when you cry,” Leon said jokingly and pinched her nose.
“You’ve really grown up.”
‘You are not only growing up, but also married.
Alas…’
“Leon, don’t pinch my nose. You’re going to break it.” Nina smiled through her tears.
“Stop being ridiculous. I won’t break it. Your nose is real, right?” Leon joked and let go of her.
Nina nodded, “Yes, of course it’s real.”
“Ha-ha! You’re much livelier than before. I like this new you.” Perhaps, Lexingport City was the best place for his sister. She had great friends and a lover.
She had great friends and a lover.
Soon she would probably have a baby and her own family.
“Nini, promise me one thing, okay?” Leon said. “Don’t get pregnant until you are ready to be a mother. That’s the only way you’ll raise the baby correctly.”
“Okay, I know.” Nina smiled and leaned on her brother’s shoulder, just like when they were children.
At that time, her brother’s shoulder was the strongest pillar in her life.
Of course, it was the same now, and it would always be.
Standing at the door of the kitchen, Michelle took a picture of them with her phone and sent it to Nina.
Ding!
Someone rang the doorbell.
Nina’s eyes lit up with excitement. “He’s here. Leon, he…”
“Calm down, Nini.” Leon shook his head with a helpless smile.
Nina pouted, “Okay.”
She rolled her eyes and turned to the door.
“I’ll open the door. You just sit there.” Leon calmed down and stood up to open the door.
At the door stood John and Wynn. Leon looked over their shoulders and saw two women and a man standing at the corner of the stairs.
“There are still ten minutes left before nine o’clock.” John raised his watch, pointed at it and looked at Wynn. “I’ve found him, you and my wife.
Can I take her home now?” John swallowed his pride. Even in humility, his noble persona shone through.
Leon gestured for Wynn to come in first and said, “Okay, but you have to wait a little longer.”
Bang!
Leon shut John outside.
