MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 91
Staring at the red marriage license, Adrian was so astounded that he dropped his hand and looked at John. “What? Who would bring a marriage license with them? I haven’t seen a single person do this before.”
Where was John from? He couldn’t believe it.
“Shut up!” John was still fuming. He hesitated, thinking whether he should open the marriage license or not.
After all, he looked awful in the photo attached to the license.
‘Forget it!’
John handed it to Leon and said, “This is our marriage license. I don’t care whether Nina is an ordinary person or the princess of C Island. She is in the photo, so she is my wife.”
Speaking, John tightly clung onto Nina’s hand. They interlocked fingers in a symbol of unity.
There was so much force that Nina’s hand actually hurt a little as it turned red.
He held onto her, fearing he would lose her.
What happened if she ran away? What if he couldn’t catch up to her? What if he couldn’t fight Leon off? John was terrified.
He clenched her hand tightly. John wasn’t going to lose his little girl.
As long as she was with him, everything would be fine.
Nina couldn’t help but give a slight chuckle feeling his huge palm heat up. John’s sincere words rung in her ears as she subconsciously tightened her grip on his hand. She felt so warm, feeling his immense love.
His speech was stupid but only the type that a love-struck idiot would say.
‘John, I only want you to be my husband.’
Leon easily read what his sister was thinking. He knew that it was a real marriage license, but that wasn’t going to stop him from inspecting it.
John was holding the license so tightly that Leon couldn’t loosen it from his grip.
Leon tried his best to take it over.
Was John not going to show him the marriage license? Why was he so reluctant?
Was there something to be embarrassed of?
Leon was stunned when he finally opened it.
“What is that?” Leon’s jaw dropped as he stared at the photo. “Is this you?” Leon raised the marriage license high so everyone could see.
With a gleam in his eyes, John replied, “Yes.”
The crowd gasped at the sight of the picture.
They then swiftly fell into a stunned silence.
The crowd looked on in absolute wonderment. They wanted to laugh but dared not to.
Adrian was stunned. Was John really an attractive man? This picture told a different story.
Feeling thirsty, Wynn picked up a glass of wine and took a sip. Before he could swallow, he caught a glimpse of the photo.
Horror overtook him as he was about to spit the wine out.
Leon, John and Nina were around him. He quickly turned the other way, spitting the wine out.
In a moment of desperation, Wynn turned his head and sprayed the red wine on Adrian’s face.
“Ah…” The wine stung Adrian’s face as it flew out of Wynn’s mouth. He was so shocked, he fell over in astonishment.
“Who did this?” Adrian closed his eyes when he saw the wine flying at him out the corner of his eye. He was so concentrated on the photo he paid no attention to where it came from.
“I’m sorry, Adrian.” Wynn took out a tissue and handed it to him.
Adrian took the tissue and wiped his face, forgetting how hurt he felt.
He rubbed his face clean, wincing in pain again.
His legs were clamped tightly together, and his face was pale. “Oh…”
It was not until then that May came to her senses. She hurried to help him up and said, “Adrian, I’m May. Let me help you.”

“Let’s go this way.”
They quickly turned around and rushed out.
Everyone was speechless.
They all watched them leave.
With their attention shifted, John grabbed the marriage license from Leon’s hand and quickly put it into the pocket of his suit.
Leon came to his senses and raised his eyebrows. “I didn’t even look at it clearly.”
“One glance is enough.” John seemed to be calm.
The two men’s eyes locked onto each other in a fierce clash. However, compared with the murderous look they had when they first met, it seemed like more of a respectful stare as opposed to fury.
With a faint smile, Leon looked at John. For a man as proud as John, it was strange to see him throw that all aside for a woman.
Taking a look at his watch, Leon said, “It’s five past eight now. I’ll take Nini back to a different hotel. At half past eight, you can come find us. I’m only giving you half an hour. If you can’t find us before nine o’clock, I’m taking her back to C Island tomorrow.”
Leon didn’t really want to take Nina back to C Island because if he did, she could end up having to have a political marriage.
It didn’t matter that she was legally married to John. If Nina’s parents intervened, they would make all that go away. They were royalty of C Island after all.
“Nini, come with me.” Leon pulled his sister over.
Nina joyfully listened to her brother. Leon was only doing this to give John a chance.
This action meant so much. He actually accepted John.
Nina didn’t care about her parents’ opinion, but she cared about her brother. As long as her brother accepted John, she felt that she had received the best blessing in the world.
When Nina passed by, she stood on her tiptoes and whispered in John’s ear, “Honey, I’ll wait for you. You need to figure out what my brother means.”
“What are you talking about? Come here. Did you give John a clue?” Leon asked. He pulled his sister to his side and left. “No.” Nina shook her head.
“I know you well!” Leon bent his finger and tapped Nina’s forehead. He smiled dotingly, not meaning to blame her.
After getting in the car, Wynn asked, “Where are we going?”
“Go to LC Hotel first, and then make a detour. You can find a hotel to stay at tonight. I’ll go to L University with Nini.”
After giving the order, Leon turned to Nina and said, “Nini, you can’t give John our location, understand? Don’t annoy me, okay?”
“Don’t worry, Leon. I won’t.” Nina was about to raise her hand to swear it.
Leon pulled her hand down, shook his head with a smile and said nothing. She was a sneaky one.
At the banquet, she had already given John all the vital information that he needed.
Wynn had found his own hotel to stay at while the other two went to the university. When Leon and Nina arrived at L University, he asked, “Where is your apartment?”
“Didn’t you say that we would go to a hotel?” Nina was stunned.
Leon smiled proudly. “Well, Wynn did go to a hotel. Besides, John has to find all three of us anyway.”
Nina was speechless.
Her brother was more conniving than she was.
Nina took Leon to her apartment, took the spare key from the flowerpot and opened the door.
As soon as they opened the door, the bright lights hit their eyes as the aroma from the kitchen wafted into their noses.
“Is someone at home?” Leon was confused.
“Mimi.” Nina looked at the kitchen. “Mimi has a spare key. I guess she came to cook or something.”
‘Oh?
That girl?’
Leon cast a glance at the kitchen.
