MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 75
Leon felt that James was lively and had a good temper.
Even from the phone call, he could tell that James was loyal to his friends.
“Don’t I look like Nini?” Leon teased.
“Honestly, you look like two peas in a pod.” There was no hint of awkwardness from James. It didn’t take long for him to be fully acquainted with Leon. “Are you perhaps twins? If you are, then there might be a higher chance for Aunt Nina to have twins in the future. If that happens, it will definitely be very lively at North Yard.”
A series of images flashed through James’ mind. He pictured John and Nina each holding a child. They were so busy taking care of their children that they didn’t have time to pay attention to him. If James talked back and offended Nina every time she made fun of him, John would definitely deduct money from his living expenses.
He heard that wooing girls would cost him a lot of money. Now that he was wooing Emma, he couldn’t afford to let John deduct his money anymore.
He couldn’t help but laugh. He clapped his hands and said, “This is great. Twins would be great.”
“James, is Nini pregnant?” Michelle tugged James by the arm and the expectant look on her face was quite obvious.
“Not yet,” James replied.
Leon heaved a sigh of relief. He already thought that it was too early for his sister to have married John. If she was pregnant, that would be worse.
“I’m four years older than Nina, we are not twins,” Leon explained.
James did not feel discouraged. Instead, he ended up staring at the man’s face and praised him.
“Do you have some skin-caring tips? Your skin looks so smooth. You even look younger than me.” James took out his phone and observed his reflection.
Compared to Leon, he thought that his skin was too rough.
Emma had mentioned that she didn’t like immature men like James.
He scoffed at the thought.
In James’ eyes, he was very mature. He didn’t look young. He continued to stare at his reflection. Even a twenty-four-year-old man looked younger than him.
Even though he looked delicate because of his tender skin, Leon had a steady and mature aura radiating off him.
James never had to worry about food or clothing. He usually took it easy and had never experienced any setbacks. The biggest obstacle he had to face so far was how to get a woman after chasing her for more than a month.
James didn’t realize that he wasn’t mature enough.
He furrowed his brows. How could a twenty-year-old man be mature?
“Should I call you Uncle?” he asked. James felt that he was getting younger and younger.
He called Nina his aunt. Now, he was about to call someone four years older than him his uncle.
“You can just call me Leon,” the man smiled.
He still wasn’t sure if they would end up being a family.
James’ initial reaction was to happily agree with Leon. After all, he didn’t need to address him with seniority. However, after giving his words a second thought, he realized that what Leon said didn’t sound right.
Since he couldn’t figure what was wrong, he asked them to get in the car. “Mimi, get in the car. I’ll drive you back to school.”
“Okay. My suitcase…” Before Michelle reached out for her suitcase, Leon beat her to it.
After he put the suitcase inside, both of them got inside the car.
While driving, James started to recall about the events last night.
“I went to pick Emma up yesterday, but half an hour had already passed and you still didn’t show up. She angrily left, thinking that I was lying to her.” James felt awful. Just when he had finally found a reason to meet Emma, he screwed it up once again.
This time, it was even more serious.
“What are you talking about?” Michelle had a curious look on her face as she glanced over to James. “Are you dating Emma?”
A bitter smile formed on James’ lips. “I wish. Apparently, she doesn’t want to be my girlfriend.” “But she was Harrison’s girlfriend, wasn’t she? Was Harrison really cheating on her?” Michelle blinked in surprise.
James raised his eyebrows. “Yeah, he was. How did you know about that?” As far as he knew, that incident happened after Mimi went to the training camp.
“I’m smart.” A smirk appeared on her face. Then she explained, “I accidentally discovered Harrison’s check-in records. Since I didn’t have any evidence, I didn’t tell my cousin. Later on, I told Nini about it and asked her to beat Harrison.

Did Nini beat him to death?” Her eyes suddenly lit up.
“It was me who beat him up.” James looked proud of himself. “I may not be as violent as Aunt Nina, so I failed to beat Harrison to death, but I managed to make his nose bleed.”
“Violent?” Leon asked. His voice was soft yet threatening. He didn’t like hearing anyone talk bad about his sister.
“I’m kidding!” Thankfully, James reacted fast.
He smiled awkwardly and tried to change the topic. “Mimi, what do you think of me?”
“You are awesome!” Michelle had a bright smile on her face.
Anyone who could beat such a bad man was powerful in her eyes.
“Of course I’m awesome,” James smirked. “But I didn’t mean that. I mean…” He ended up with an awkward chuckle.
He decided to shut his mouth.
A blush crept on his cheeks. He looked shy when he smiled, and that made him inexplicably cute.
“What are you talking about?” Michelle looked at him with curious eyes.
James seemed to have changed a lot. He looked a bit shyer than before.
While listening to the exchange, Leon decided to help James out. “He wants to woo your cousin. What do you think of him?”
“Oh, I see,” Michelle murmured. The frown disappeared from her face and she finally looked enlightened.
“Uh, yes. What do you think?” James turned around to face Michelle which made Leon panic a little bit. “Drive safely. Our lives are in your hands.”
James smiled sheepishly and returned to facing the road.
Michelle was silent for a moment. Then, she shook her head. “It’s impossible.”
“What?” The car suddenly stopped which caused everyone to jolt forward. James pulled over and whipped his head towards Michelle. “Why?”
“What?” The car suddenly stopped which caused everyone to jolt forward. James pulled over and whipped his head towards Michelle. “Why?”
Everyone supported him except her. Wasn’t she a member of the Beggars’ Sect? James continued to stare at her with wide eyes while waiting for an answer.
“My cousin likes Harrison because he is a gentleman and literate. Moreover, he has a decent amount of self-control,” Michelle said.
“What are you talking about?” James frowned. “I am definitely a gentleman and literate. What do you mean about having some self-control?”
Michelle furrowed her brows. “Do you really not understand what I’m saying?” Upon hearing her question, James realized that he didn’t understand it at all.
Leon smiled and kindly explained, “Being literate refers to a person’s behavior, language, and thoughts. In fact, it is about whether you two have the same understanding level, so that you can have common topics and understand each other.
A gentleman’s manner is courtesy and education. I’m sure you know about that. Having some self-control is to control and discipline yourself.”
James scratched the back of his head. “I don’t understand the last part.”
Leon let out a hearty chuckle. “Let me give you an example. In ancient times, a man and a woman were not allowed to have any physical contact before they got married.”
“Explain it in detail.” James stared at him blankly. He really didn’t understand where the conversation was heading.
Michelle wasn’t able to hide the scowl on her face. “It simply means that before marriage, you can only hold her hands. You cannot kiss and you definitely cannot sleep together.”
Leon glanced over to Michelle. She sure knew a lot.
“What?” James’ jaw dropped and he blinked for a couple of times. “I’m not allowed to even kiss her?”
He subconsciously placed a hand over his lips.
He had already kissed her several times.
Actually, he ended up getting slapped across the face every time.
James pursed his lips. It was not his fault if he couldn’t help it.
