- MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2
- Season 3 Episode 74 - (They look exactly the same)
Leon and Wynn spoke while Michelle packed her luggage.
This was the last day of her leave, and tomorrow she had to return to college to make up for missed lessons and start classes again.
After talking to Leon, Wynn saw Michelle walking out with her suitcase. He turned and asked, “Where are you going?”
“I have to go back to university. Classes start tomorrow,” Michelle said, standing juxtaposed with her massive suitcase.
Leon was taken aback. Only then did he remember that Michelle was in college. At best she looked like a high school student.
“Do you board at school?” he asked.
“Yes.” Michelle nodded. “Now that Nini lives with Uncle John, I can’t live with her anymore. So I have to board at school.”
“Oh, you used to live with Nini. You didn’t live in the dormitory, right?” Leon asked.
“No.” Michelle shook her head. Her youthful face was adorable. “Nini has an apartment outside the college. I lived with her there.
Is something wrong?” Michelle tilted her head.
“Nothing. Wynn, take her back to college.” Leon turned and saw Wynn winking at him.
Wynn didn’t want to stay with Michelle.
Although Michelle seemed naive, she was actually very smart. Wynn tried his best to disguise himself, but she almost recognized him.
Wynn was afraid that Michelle would recognize him and she would ask him to eat the unpalatable food she made.
Her cooking swiftly became one of his biggest fears.
That was no understatement.
Leon and Wynn had stayed together for so long that a simple shared glance was enough for Leon to understand what he meant.
Leon was actually surprised that Wynn was so scared of Michelle. He was actually known for how fearless he was.
Leon smiled and said nothing.
He stood up and pulled Michelle’s luggage towards him. “Let me take you to school.”
“Thank you, Leon.”
Leon seemed to be receiving gratitude from all over the room. Not only was Michelle pleased, but Wynn looked at him gratefully.
Walking out the hotel, Leon realized how out of his depth he was. He had no car or money because Wynn usually took care of all these things.
“Mimi, please let me use your phone. I need to ask someone to send me money.” Leon reached his hand out expectantly.
Michelle looked at him for a while before she realized what he was asking.
She thought, ‘It seems he’s just as poor as Nini.
At least she isn’t poor anymore because she has Uncle John.
Unfortunately, her brother doesn’t have such luxuries.’
“No, don’t worry. I have money.” Michelle grinned and took out her phone to call a taxi.
As she looked at the screen, she coincidentally received a call.
Taking a glance at the caller ID, Leon saw it was James. He heard from Wynn that James, Michelle and Nina were all quite close.
“Hello…”
“Mimi, what happened to Aunt Nina and you? Why didn’t you come to the welcoming dinner last night? Do you know how many messages I’ve sent you? You didn’t even reply.”
James was furious.
Michelle pulled the phone away from her ear. It sounded like he was on speaker.
He ranted and raved so loudly that you could even hear his little pauses when he breathed through his onslaught.
“Do you know how difficult it is to get Emma to come to these things?
Yesterday she agreed to have dinner with us. You didn’t show up though and Emma thought I was lying to her. I don’t know how to explain any of this to make her believe me.
I’m so angry. Mimi, if you and Aunt Nina don’t have a reasonable explanation, I’m not speaking to you guys anymore. As my good friends, you should be helping me.” James was distraught just thinking that he was in Emma’s bad books.
She absolutely despised liars.
‘Damn it!’ he thought.

Michelle was stunned. She didn’t understand why James was angry. Was it because they didn’t go to the restaurant or was it because Emma was angry at him?

She hesitated silently, thinking of the right words to say.
James got impatient with her stunned silence and shouted, “Mimi? Answer me! Do you not know how to talk to humans anymore?”
Noticing that Michelle was in a daze, Leon prompted, “You’d better say something quickly.”
James was probably going to explode if he got any angrier. He delivered such a fiery speech, and to receive no response would have pushed him over the edge.
“Oh…” Michelle said in a panic.
Hearing this, James was shaking in anger. “Damn it. Mimi, don’t try to scare me. Do you really not understand me?”
Leon couldn’t help but chuckle. She was just too pleasant for words.
Hearing a man’s laughter, James was stunned and looked at the phone.
‘Yeah, this is Mimi’s phone number.’
He was absolutely dumbfounded. ‘Is it some sort of cry for help?’
“Mimi, where are you? Have you been kidnapped? If you’ve been kidnapped, then say ‘oh’ again and send me your location. I’ll come to save you immediately.” James’ anger swiftly turned into worry.
‘Mimi is brainless. She could easily get kidnapped.’ James was starting to sweat in his panic.
He jumped into his car and drove off immediately.
Michelle was stunned by his snap judgments. She narrowed her eyes and muttered, “What’s wrong with him?”
After a pause, she said, “I’m in the LC Hotel.”
“Damn it! Hotel?” James still wasn’t sure if she was in danger or not. “Just stay there. I’m coming to save you. You have to remember to put in a good word for me in front of your cousin though.”
“What are you talking about?” Michelle didn’t get it. Still, she was just happy that someone was coming to pick her up, so she said happily, “Okay come quickly. I’ll be waiting.”
Then she hung up the phone and looked at Leon with a smile. “James is coming to pick me up. You don’t have to take me back to school anymore.”
“It’s okay. Is James one of Nina’s friends? I’m just getting to know everyone.” Leon looked back at her gleefully. James’ words still ringing in his head, he asked, “Do you understand what he said just now?”
Leon suspected that she was none the wiser.
“I’m not a fool. Of course I understand. He said he would pick me up.” Michelle nodded proudly.
Leon couldn’t help laughing. She really couldn’t be that oblivious, right? James said at least three things. First, he was afraid she was kidnapped. Second, he would pick her up. Third, he wanted her to put in a good word for him with Emma.
It seemed that James was completely infatuated with Emma.
Leon initially thought that James had a thing for Nina, but now he realized he was wrong.
James was driving a shiny Lamborghini. As he approached, he saw Michelle standing with a person, dragging a suitcase.
When he saw the person’s face, he was shocked.
“Damn it! Aunt Nina?”
The closer he got, the stranger he felt. ‘No, Aunt Nina is not that tall. That’s definitely a man. Who is this person?
They look so similar though.’
When James stopped his car in front of Michelle, he instantly turned his head and looked at Leon. James’ eyes widened in an instant. ‘He and Aunt Nina look exactly like each other.
The exact same.
They have the exact same facial features, but he doesn’t look womanish.
He’s really handsome.’ James got out of the car, feeling a wave of relief as soon as he saw that Michelle was safe and sound.
“James, long time no see.” Michelle waved her hand with a smile.
“Mimi, I’m glad you’re safe,” James said. “Mimi, who is he?”
Michelle smiled and introduced, “Brother.”
‘Brother? Mimi doesn’t have a brother. Why does he look so much like Aunt Nina?’
“My name is Leon Lu, and Nina is my sister.” Leon was always happy to meet Nina’s friends so he smiled charmingly at James.
“Really? Are you really Aunt Nina’s brother?” James was shocked and almost fell backwards.
