MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 71
Wynn had gone to the Song family’s house early that morning to discuss the arrangements for the party the following night. All he wanted was to catch up on sleep the moment he returned. Not even a moment had passed since he settled in his bed when his doorbell began to ring.
Leon and the others had their own room cards, so his visitor must be someone else.
Wynn trudged over to the door impatiently.
He was already struggling to keep his eyes open even as he unlocked the door.
“What’s the matter?” he asked.
It really was a man that opened the door. Not only that, but his figure looked very similar to the one caught in the photo.
Jessica felt certain right there and then that this man was the adulterer.
Her temper flared instantly.
“Get Nina out her right this instant.”
“Jessica.” Vivian held the other woman back just as she was about to storm into the suite. Jessica tended to act on impulse when she was angry.
Trying to suppress her, Vivian walked forward and smiled at Wynn. “Mr. Luo, hello. We’re here for Nina.”
She looked the man up and down as she spoke, noting how he seemed groggy.
They must have woken him up. Perfect. It looked like they might just catch Nina in the act of cheating on her husband.
Vivian grabbed her phone from deep in her pocket. She had to be ready; she must take photos to serve as evidence of the infidelity that was happening. Nina’s reputation would definitely be ruined.
When that happened, she was sure to be kicked out of the Shi family for good.
The mention of the princess’s name brought Wynn back to his senses. His first thought was that these two women must be Nina’s friends.
As such, he would have to treat them with utmost courtesy.
However, as another couple of beats passed, the sleepy haze completely vanished from his vision and he saw all too clearly who the people before him actually were. Disgust curdled deep in his gut.
He knew these women well, or knew of them, at least—Vivian Ye, a member of the Ye family, and Jessica Shi, John’s sister.
When he dug up on John last night, he made it a point to investigate other people related to him as well. Wynn wasn’t able to gather in-depth information, but he managed to get the basic data.
‘Isn’t Vivian the so-called childhood sweetheart of John?’
Based on his investigations, John’s sister was not satisfied with Nina and always made things difficult for her. And it was no secret that Jessica had always wanted for John to marry Vivian instead.
‘Well, we are not even remotely satisfied with the Shi family.
These women must be up to no good. They’ve clearly have ill intentions.’
“Who are you?” Wynn didn’t hold back, and he sounded firm and intimidating.
Surely these two sissy girls wouldn’t dare to go against such a man.
For added effect, he leaned against the door frame and cocked his head to the side, giving them a look of arrogance. It was obvious that he was looking down on them.
“I’m a member of the Shi family.” Jessica tilted her chin and looked straight into Wynn’s eyes, her stance issuing a dare.
How could someone look down upon her?
“I’m a friend of Nina,” Vivian interjected, going for a gentle smile. “Jessica is her sister-in-law. Nina asked us to come and get her. May we enter?”
They needed to get inside if they wanted to catch Nina red-handed.
“Friend? Sister-in-law?”
What shameless women!
‘Our princess is royalty, a lady of noble birth. Why would she ever befriend someone so full of lies?
And how could Jessica dare to call herself the princess’s sister-in-law?’
Wynn’s narrowed eyes unsettled Vivian. She had a feeling he knew exactly what they came here for.
“Yes,” Vivian answered naturally, belying her nerves.
Jessica, on the other hand, was still prickly with fury. She had never acknowledged Nina as her sister-in-law, and she wouldn’t be starting now.
“Nina is my brother’s wife. I have something to talk to her about, so let us in.”
Unaffected, Wynn crossed his arms across his chest and sneered. “Oh, right. Hey, didn’t you want Vivian here to shackle up with your brother?”
Vivian’s heart skipped a beat. This was bad. If this man knew that much, then he probably saw through their plan.
Wynn turned his penetrating gaze to at Vivian. “Aren’t you John’s childhood sweetheart? You said you are the prin…
Nina’s friend. Nina is a smart and wise woman. I can’t imagine her being friends with you.”
He had almost slipped there. They couldn’t expose the princess’s identity just yet, so he needed to be careful.
‘Who does Vivian think she is? The princess is the most honorable woman in C Island besides Queen Anne.
When we introduce her to the world, everything must be perfect. Otherwise, the princess would be wronged.’
Vivian’s lips turned a little pale. If she wasn’t mistaken, this man had just deftly insulted her.

He appeared to have made some thorough investigation, probably in order to cover up for Nina better.
This only proved the relationship he had with Nina was not an ordinary one.
Taking solace from this conclusion, Vivian calmed down a little. “Mr. Luo, you seem to have a very good relationship with Nina. It makes me curious as to just what it is, exactly.”
“Yes, what’s the relationship between you and Nina? Why did you two check into this hotel?” Jessica was quick to pick the baton from Vivian, although she was more aggressive with her questions.
Wynn only snorted. “You’re curious about my relationship with Nina? That’s none of your concern. Drop your act and stop pretending to be nice.”
‘I can’t imagine the princess dealing with these shameless people. If the prince learns of this, the Ye and Shi families will all perish without them even noticing.’ Bang!
Wynn closed the door on their faces.
Jessica stamped her foot as she huffed in anger. “What the hell did he mean? And how dare he do this to me?
Keep ringing the doorbell, Vivian!”
“Okay.” Vivian didn’t like to be ordered around, but since this was all for the purpose of destroying Nina, she did as she was told and pressed the doorbell over and over again.
The sound of the door slamming closed was so forceful and loud that it could be heard from inside the next suite.
Well, in all honesty, the couple had been in quite a hurry that John hadn’t closed their door properly.
Noises from the corridor naturally filtered into their suite.
John had fallen into a deep sleep. He wasn’t able to sleep a wink the night before, but as soon as he sank into bed with his wife in his arms, he was instantly off to dreamland.
For her part, Nina had been drifting in and out of sleep. When the confrontation was happening in the hallway, she was half-awake. The loud bang, however, prompted her to sit up and get out of bed entirely.
She initially thought that it was her brother coming back, so she quietly slipped by the door and poked her head outside, feeling a little guilty about snuggling in with John.
To her stunned horror, she was met with the sight of Vivian and Jessica making a small commotion.
“What are they doing here?” Nina muttered to herself. She decided to just ignore whatever was going on. She moved to close the door, intending to get back into bed with John.
Unfortunately, the action caught Vivian’s notice.
Vivian hated Nina so much, to her very core in fact, that she could recognize the other woman at a glance.
“Nina?” she called out in a loud voice.
All in all, Vivian still saw Nina.
Nina froze.
The sound of thundering footsteps came, and then Jessica’s voice. “Where? Where’s Nina? Isn’t she in this suite?”
“Nina seems to be in that suite over there.” Vivian walked ahead of Jessica until she was right in front of John and Nina’s suite.
She quickly adopted a casual expression and even mixed in a touch of surprise. “Nina? What are you doing here?”
Nina was not stupid. She had heard Jessica’s words very clearly. John’s sister had been confused that she wasn’t in the next suite, which meant that the women had specifically come looking for her.
And here Vivian was, pretending to run into her by chance, lying to her face.
Obviously, they were here to make trouble.
“Is it strange for me to be here?” Nina opened the door wider and placed a hand to her hip.
Jessica walked over to her and looked her from head to toe. “Nina, just look at yourself,” she yelled, her face dark and her voice shrill.
She was pointing at something on Nina’s neck, and when Vivian saw that it was a hickey, she covered her mouth in a display of shock. “Nina, how could you…”
Vivian didn’t finish her words, averting her eyes as though she couldn’t bear to look at Nina.
“Why, what’s wrong with me?” Nina looked down her body to inspect herself. She was wearing John’s shirt, which reached the middle of her thighs.
The shirt was unable to cover love bite on her neck.
She blinked, then looked back to silently survey the living room of the suite.
Her dress had been torn into pieces, scattered across the floor.
It occurred to Nina just how depraved they must seem to look in front of other people, in light of this scene. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
She didn’t exactly look appropriate at the moment either.
“Don’t you know what’s wrong with you? Shameless.” Jessica stared at her coldly. “What do you keep glancing back inside for? Are you keeping a man in there with you?”
Without waiting for a response, Jessica pushed Nina aside and stormed into the suite.
She believed she was able to catch Nina cheating on John.
