MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 70
Vivian was about to go downstairs when her phone rang. She looked at the screen and saw that Jessica was calling. “Vivi, where are you? I remember LC Hotel being owned by the Ye Group. Would you be able to check which room they are in? I need to teach them a lesson.”
Jessica tried her best to control her anger as she talked through gritted teeth.
Vivian smirked. It was exactly what she wanted to happen. “Don’t worry. I’ve already asked someone to look into this matter. Hold on, I’ll come to you.”
After hanging up, she made her way towards the lobby.
Jessica raised her hand and waved at Vivian’s direction the moment she saw her appear.
“Jessica,” Vivian greeted. Her eyes were flashed with concern as she held onto Jessica’s arm. “Don’t worry. Perhaps that person just looks similar to Nina.”
Jessica frowned. “How many people look like Nina? The person who looks a lot like her is now travelling around the world with her husband.” She wasn’t aware of Kristina’s death since Noah and John had managed to conceal this news to the public. Only Nina and the members of the Ye and Song families knew about the truth.
Vivian narrowed her eyes.
Kristina, who resembled Nina, had died a long time ago.
“You have a point. Why don’t we go upstairs and take a look?” Vivian said. Both women then headed for the nearest elevator.
The journey from the ground floor all the way to the top took quite a while than expected. As they stood side by side, Vivian glanced sideways to the angry woman beside her. Jessica wore a scowl on her face and her eyes were full of resentment.
The woman looked like she had gone from an arrogant princess to a bitter person who frequently complained about others.
Vivian pursed her lips at the thought. It was probably due to the fact that Jessica and Jason had recently gone through a divorce.
She had actually heard about the news from the micro bug on her necklace.
Jessica had proposed to get a divorce and Jason had agreed. The two went through the formalities two days ago. No one else was aware of that.
Jason quit his work the next day and headed northwest.
Jessica had been a mess for the past few days. All her manners went down the drain, and she did not act like a well-educated rich lady at all. She would curse Jason whenever she got drunk.
Vivian’s ears throbbed whenever she heard this through the bug.
She thought that Jessica was a smart woman. It turned out that she wasn’t that smart as she imagined.
Jessica was a proud and arrogant person. She acted all glamorous and liked to boast herself as a daughter from a rich family. When no one was looking, however, she had such an awful personality.
Vivian wouldn’t have discovered how fake Jessica was if she hadn’t been spying on her.
If she would take advantage of such a person, it would probably do more harm than good.
Once Jessica discovered that she was just being used, revenge would definitely come knocking on Vivian.
Vivian felt that Jessica was no longer a good choice to rely on.
She had to find a new backer.
She frowned at the thought since she was running out of ideas at the moment.
Jessica was now divorced and no one knew about it. The woman pretended to act calm and collected on the surface, but deep inside she was easily irritated. She needed something to vent out her anger on.
Vivian finally looked ahead. She decided that she had to continue to make use of Jessica.
John wouldn’t hurt his sister no matter how angry he would become.
Suddenly,
Vivian’s phone was vibrating.
As soon as she answered the call, her assistant’s voice came through her wireless earpiece.
“Miss Ye, the Song Group sent an invitation to you for a dinner party at seven o’clock tomorrow evening. The party will be held at Repulse Bay Hotel.”
“A dinner party?” Vivian repeated. She raised an eyebrow at the news. Song Group didn’t have any recent projects so it was a bit unusual for them to suddenly throw a party.
A “It’s going to be a wine tasting party,” her assistant replied. “Song Group is currently working with a rich man named Mr. Lu from C Island. The dinner party is said to be hosted by him.”

“Mr. Lu from C Island?” Vivian’s eyes lit up. Her voice suddenly sounded interested. C Island was known to be very rich despite it being small.
The people from C Island were probably in Lexingport City to close some business deals. It would be such an achievement if she was able to successfully collaborate with them.
A small smirk appeared on her lips.
“Alright, understood.” Vivian clenched her phone. She must definitely seize this opportunity.
It was now Jessica’s turn to glance over to Vivian. “Lu is a prominent surname at C Island. When you hear that name, it usually has something to do with the royal family. I’m sure that this Mr. Lu is definitely no ordinary person.”
Vivian looked surprised. “How did you know that?” Curiosity graced her features as she turned towards Jessica.
“Every member from our family has received an invitation two hours ago. It seems like Mr. Lu has specially invited our family. My father told us that we should all be present. I was curious, so I asked a few more questions and he told me all about the Lu family at C Island.”
Jessica scowled and her tone had a slight hint of anger.
“Apparently, my father cares about this very much since he gave me quite a lecture.”
Since Sam knew that Leon was the prince of C Island, he suspected that he specially invited everyone in the Shi family for Nina’s sake.
However, the others weren’t aware of this fact.
Jessica got angry when her father gave her a cold glance and warned her. Based on her father’s words, she knew that he was asking her not to embarrass Nina at the dinner party.
Jessica wasn’t stupid. She wouldn’t be insulting Nina out in the open. Perhaps she would just end up letting Nina know that she wouldn’t be able to fit in no matter how expensive the clothes she wore.
It was just to make Nina admit defeat in the face of difficulties.
Her father, however, favored Nina more, which was why Jessica was jealous of the girl.
This was also the reason why she marched over to the hotel to catch Nina cheating as soon as she received the photo from Vivian.
The elevator rang and came to a halt. They finally arrived at the top floor.
As soon as the elevator stopped, the doors slowly opened.
“Here we are. They seem to be staying in that room. The gentleman’s surname is Luo. He has booked a room here for half a month.” Vivian flashed a sinister smile as she pointed at the second door at the hallway.
“Half a month?” Jessica asked incredulously. “This may be the most expensive presidential suite in Lexingport City. It will cost at least millions to stay here for that long.
It looks like Nina is very capable. She even found a rich man.” Her frown deepened. She said this through gritted teeth without even bothering to conceal her hatred.
How could her brother fall in love with such a shameless woman?
Vivian looked at Jessica with concern.
“Jessica, I don’t think we should let Brother John know about this or else it might break his heart.”
Jessica nodded and agreed. She held Vivian’s hand and let out a deep sigh.
“Nina has deceived my brother. He made a mistake by choosing someone like her. I’m sorry.”
Vivian pretended to smile bitterly before looking up to Jessica with gentle eyes. “I want Brother John to be happy. He likes Nina, so…”
Her grieving expression effectively made Jessica feel sorry for her.
“Don’t worry, Vivi. John will definitely see Nina’s true colors one day. When your chance comes, I will be helping you.”
Jessica made a promise and flashed a gentle smile at Vivian.
Although Vivian seemed satisfied with this, she tried to hide it. Instead, she led Jessica to the room.
Vivian rang the doorbell.
