MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 69
John lifted Nina up with one hand around her waist, pressed her against the wall, and leaned in to kiss her.
“Wait… John…” Patting him on the shoulder, Nina looked at the open door and said, “Close…the door…”
She felt way too anxious leaving it open. She snuck out and didn’t tell her brother that she was coming here.
John pulled away from Nina’s lips, put his head against her forehead, and said in a hoarse voice, “Honey, we’re a married couple.”
Why was she making it seem like it was an affair?
Then he took out the marriage license and shook it in front of Nina. “Honey, look.”
“Ha-ha.” Nina couldn’t help laughing. She was so bemused by the fact that John carried the marriage license with him all the time.
She stretched out her hand and was about to grab it when John lifted it high above his head. “I keep it with me so that I know it’s safe.”
“Is it really though? Aren’t you afraid of losing it?” Nina didn’t believe his nonsense. John just didn’t want her to see the photo on it.
He frantically put it into his pocket, holding Nina tightly trying to keep her arms from moving.
“I’ll never lose it.”
“Didn’t it fall out of your pocket the last time?” Nina looked up at him, holding back her laughter.
John pulled her in close, too embarrassed to look at her.
“I did it on purpose.” He tried his best to cover it up. “I just wanted to announce our relationship.”
“Oh… I see.” Nina dragged her words, sarcastically mocking him. How could John think that she was so clueless? She had already questioned Henry about it a while ago.
She knew that it was a complete accident and John was just being careless.
John’s embarrassment reached an all-time high, so he raised her chin and kissed her to shut her up.
If it wasn’t going to make him feel better, he might as well physically stop her from talking. He didn’t need to hear her nonsense.
His tender kiss made Nina’s heart quake. She froze for a second before putting her arms around his neck, kissing back gently.
In the CEO’s office of the Ye Group, Vivian was receiving a call.
“Miss Ye, Nina stayed at the LC Hotel last night. She left this morning but returned just now. She has yet to leave again.”
The person on the other side of the call was a paparazzo. Vivian had hired him to keep track of Nina. He would contact Vivian if anything unusual was happening.
Vivian stopped what she was doing and asked, “Who is she with?”
“A man. But we couldn’t get a clear view of his face.” The photo they took only captured the side of Nina’s face and the back of the man. It was Nina’s brother, Leon.
“Is it Mr. Shi?” Vivian asked.
“No. This man seems to be shorter. He also looks thinner. I don’t know which family he is from.”
“Send the photo to my phone.” Vivian needed to confirm all of this herself. She couldn’t trust just anyone when she could see it with her own eyes.
“Miss Ye, don’t forget to wire me the money.”
“Don’t worry about that. Send the photo to me as soon as possible.” Vivian hung up the phone.
A WeChat message popped up on her phone.
As expected, the paparazzo had taken a photo showing the words “LC Hotel.”
In the photo, Nina was walking into the hotel holding a man’s hand. From her side profile, she seemed to be smiling gleefully.
Her face was so distinct that she could be spotted from a mile away.
Vivian knew every little detail of John so well that she knew that this man definitely wasn’t him. Nina had to be with someone else.

“Nina, you really are a loose woman.” Vivian clenched her fists, trying to concoct a devious plan.
She sent the photo to Jessica and sent her a message, asking, “Does this look like Nina? I saw it in a friend’s Wechat Moments. It just looks like Nina to me.”
After a short while, Jessica replied, “Why is Nina with another man? What’s going on?”
With a sinister smile, Vivian started sent her a shocked emoji and asked, “Is it really Nina? I thought I was just seeing things. How could it be Nina? Whose arm is she holding? It looks like a hotel. What’s happening?”
“How dare Nina cheats on my brother!” Jessica was furious. “I’m going to LC Hotel myself. I’d like to see who this man is!”
Vivian smiled complacently. Her plan was working out perfectly.
“Jessica, could this just be a misunderstanding? Don’t be impulsive.”
“Misunderstanding? How could there be a misunderstanding? I’m going to find her right now.”
Vivian replied, “Jessica, don’t be impulsive. Where are you? I’m coming to see you. You need to calm down.”
Vivian was pretending to be the voice of reason but secretly egging her on.
She would see this for herself as well.
‘Nina, let’s see how you survive this time.’
Then Jessica sent a message, saying, “Vivi, wait for me at the gate of the hotel. Also, don’t tell John about any of this for now.”
“Jessica, I know. I’ll see you at the hotel.” After sending the message, Vivian grabbed her bag and happily marched out.
LC Hotel was a property of the Ye Group. Vivian arrived before Jessica and already asked the hotel manager to get the information for her.
“Miss Vivian, we have found out that the man who checked in the presidential suite is Mr. Wynn Luo. He booked the room yesterday afternoon and will be staying here for half a month.”
“Wynn Luo? Why don’t I know who he is?” Vivian wrecked her brain thinking who he could be. The suite was also really expensive and only people with high statuses could afford to stay there.
If he was a member of the upper class in Lexingport City, she should know him. The manager replied, “Mr. Luo is from Spring City.”
“Spring City?” Vivian remembered that Nina was also from Spring City. She couldn’t act too rashly so she needed to be absolutely certain. “Give me Wynn’s photo.”
“Okay, wait a moment.” The manager went back to find Wynn’s photo and handed it to Vivian.
All Vivian’s nerves instantly dissipated when she saw the photo.
The man looked nothing like Nina so he definitely wasn’t related to her.
She heard Nina was an orphan, but she could have some relatives nevertheless.
If Nina and the man had nothing to do with each other, what were they doing at the hotel? They had to have some sort of underlying relationship.
Someone approached and whispered something in the manager’s ear. The manager nodded and dismissed him. He turned to Vivian and reported, “Mr. Luo has just come back into the hotel.”
“What about Nina? Is she in the hotel?”
“She came back an hour ago. She hasn’t come down since then.”
Vivian smiled, “Very good.
Don’t tell anyone about this.”
As a hotel manager, he had seen this countless times.
He knew what Vivian was up to, so he nodded.
“Get back to work.” Vivian stood up and patted him on the shoulder. She looked at him admiringly and thought, ‘Smart man.’
She looked away with a menacing smile.
‘Nina, you can’t escape this time.’
