MY UNKNOWN HUSBAND, VOLUME 2 - Season 3 Episode 65
Nina and her brother hadn’t seen each other for two years, so they really did have a lot to talk about.
They sat on the sofa, chatting and playing video games happily. Every once in a while, one would one-up the other in a video game, which resulted in a pillow fight.
Michelle didn’t disturb them and ate at the table.
While eating, she glanced at Leon and Nina from time to time. She also stared at Wynn sometimes.
Why did he look so familiar?
He looked a lot like her master.
But Wynn was pretty clean. Michelle thought he couldn’t be her master. The guy she was thinking of was messy.
Afraid of being found out, Wynn went back to his room.
Nina was enjoying time spent with her brother and had already forgotten John.
Meanwhile, John sat in the car, the wind finding its way in and stealing the warmth of the occupants.
Henry and Richard were also there.
Henry had dozed off several times.
It was one o’clock in the morning, and Nina was starting to fade. She leaned on her brother’s shoulder and closed her eyes.
With Nina’s head resting on his shoulder, Leon stopped playing games and turned off the sound.
“Nini?” Leon said her name softly. Hearing her even breathing, he knew that she slept soundly.
He cautiously stood up, and then scooped her into his arms. He carried Nina into another room. Michelle lay on the bed, sleeping peacefully.
“She is so cute.” With a faint smile, Leon lowered Nina onto the bed. He tucked Michelle and Nina in.
He smoothed Nina’s hair and said, “Good night, Nini.”
Then he looked at Michelle and smiled gently. “Good night.”
“Brother…” Michelle murmured in her dream and smiled. Had she heard what he said?
Leon smiled and thought, ‘What a cute sister!’
Then he stood up, turned off the light and quietly closed the door.
He didn’t go to bed. Instead, he went to the living room. Wynn came out of his room and reported to Leon. The screen from his tablet illuminated his face.
“As you requested, I have info on Nina’s husband. His name is John Shi.” Wynn handed the tablet to Leon and continued, “He hasn’t left yet. He’s waiting outside the hotel. He said he would pick up Nina in the morning.”
Leon swiped the screen and read the information rapidly. In less than a minute, he had memorized all the data that Wynn found.
Leon put the tablet on the sofa and said angrily, “He’s 30 and she’s 20. That’s a big difference in age. My sister is so young.”
“Yeah, I think you’re right.” Wynn knew that Leon would bring that up.
Leon thought John was taking advantage of Nina.
He couldn’t let just any man marry his sister so easily.
“How many men has Nini even gotten to know? How could she get married so early?” Leon was still angry.
Wynn replied, “One. She has only known one guy—John.”
“One?” Leon was even more surprised. “What about Noah? I like him more than John.”
Wynn thought to himself, ‘I think if Noah was the one marrying her, you’d say you like John better.
You just can’t accept the fact that she’s married.’
Wynn knew what Leon was thinking, but didn’t say it out loud.
“She was already married by the time she met Noah,” said Wynn. “John showed up earlier so she’s married to him. It is what it is.”
Leon didn’t know what to say. Wynn’s words reminded him of an unpleasant fact.
The woman Leon loved was now lying in another man’s arms.
Leon had tried to make her stay with him by all means, but failed to get her love. Finally she cried and said, “I’m sorry. I met him before I met you.”
“Yes, you’re right.” Seeing Leon’s sad expression, Wynn realized that he had said something wrong.

Wynn changed the subject. “It’s bedtime. John will be picking up Nina tomorrow. If you get enough sleep, you might be better able to deal with that. Don’t blame me if he takes her away from you.”
Only the mention of Nina would stop Leon thinking about other things.
She was more important than anyone else in his heart.
“You’re right, like usual.” Leon left his chair to take a shower. Then he settled into bed.
Leon had made up his mind to stop John and Nina’s rendezvous the next morning, but he didn’t have long to ponder this. He was exhausted after his long journey and was sound asleep seconds after his head hit the pillow.
Nina loved to go jogging in the morning. If she slept well the night before, she would definitely get up early to run. That was why John went to the park beside the hotel and waited for Nina.
“Good morning, honey.” John hadn’t slept all night. His fatigue was no match for his determination to meet Nina. By the time she saw him, he was still energetic.
John’s sudden appearance startled Nina. She looked him up and down and frowned. “Did you attend a dinner party last night? You dressed up and haven’t changed your clothes. Did you even go home last night?”
Nina was giving John the third degree.
‘Did he spend the night with another girl?’ Nina wondered.
Knowing that she had misunderstood him, he was taken aback. “You weren’t home. So why should I be?”
Nina nodded, “I know. I asked them to tell you that I wouldn’t be back in the North Yard last night.”
“I didn’t go home because you weren’t there,” he retorted sourly.
He thought, ‘Doesn’t she know that home is wherever she is?
When she’s not there, it doesn’t feel like home.’
Nina looked at his body carefully and even leaned over to smell him. There was still a faint fragrance mixed with a smell of cigarettes.
She knew he smoked again.
She couldn’t detect any other smells, like perfume. After doing that, Nina felt much better. She was still unhappy that he stayed out all night.
“Did you stay with a woman last night?” Nina asked.
“I wanted to, but her family kept a close eye on her. I couldn’t spend any time with her,” John said angrily. He reached out and held Nina’s hand. He turned around and pressed her against a wall.
Surrounded by John’s unique aura, Nina felt warm all over her body. She looked at him with wet eyes, only to find that he looked tired, a morning beard beginning to form on his handsome face.
‘It looks like he hasn’t slept all night,’ Nina thought.
She understood what he meant and smiled.
“Did you come for me last night?”
“You already know.” John pinched her face and pulled her into his arms.
He breathed in her scent and it was heaven. She was so soft in his arms. ‘It’s my little girl.
She’s back,’ John thought.
Feeling his love, Nina put her arms around his neck, jumped up, and clung to his body like a koala.
“I’m coming back. Don’t worry.” Nina gently kissed the corner of his mouth and inhaled the scent of tobacco.
“Did you stay up all night and wait for me here?” Nina rubbed his face and felt sorry for him.
He thought it was worth it to see the concern on Nina’s face and in her voice.
It would be better if he could sleep next to her.
“Honey, I’m sleepy.” His low voice sounded a little put upon.
Nina pursed her lips and smiled. “Are you trying to say you can’t sleep without me?”
“Honey, let’s head to bed,” John said straightforwardly.
Of course he didn’t need to hide his feelings in front of his wife.
Then John left with Nina in his arms.
Before they even left the park, Leon arrived.
